To the people who are writing that this is the worst coffee shop they've ever visited in an airport... have you been to La Colombe by Terminal B? This Starbucks located in Terminal C by Gate C31 (which is currently open 4:30am to 10pm daily) was the only place we could get iced coffee mid-morning on a recent flight out of PHL. I placed my order on the Starbucks app, and ten minutes later we had HUGE cold brews waiting for us. Now: 1. Was the staff super friendly? Nope. We wouldn't have had to interact with them at all given that I ordered on my app, but they were pretty lean with the "splash" of coconut milk I asked for in my drink, so - when there wasn't a single other person in line - I went up to the counter and asked if I could get a bit more. When this has happened in the past (at every other coffee shop in the world), I've been handed the box of non-dairy milk to adjust to my liking. Here, the employee poured me maaaaaaybe another tablespoonful into a cup, slammed it on the counter, and then walked away. 2. Was the area super clean? Not at all. Despite there being no one in line or even in the vicinity of the store, there were straw wrappers and napkins and food crumbs all over the floor and counter area. 3. But... did they have iced coffee when La Colombe didn't? They sure did. read more

What can I say, it's Starbucks! It's consistent with other Starbucks. The prices are higher, it that what you get at the airport. There is no place to sit down here, the nearest is the food court across the way. For the most part, the staff is friendly. They can be busy from time to time so expect a little wait. EXTREMELY disappointed in the greediness of this (franchised?) location. I have been buying the Starbucks "You Are Here" and "Been There" Collection mugs, all over the world. They are priced at $12.99, as the sticker on the bottom of the mug clearly displays for all customers to see. I have over 230 of these mugs from my travels around the world and I have only ever paid this $12.95 (or international equivalent) sticker price no matter what country or state I have purchased in. The only exception to this is the Disney and Universal studio mugs are $16.95. I have purchased nearly all of my mugs at Starbucks locations inside airports. My purchase today was for three of the mugs, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Washington DC. When the cashier told me my total was over $60, I immediately thought she had rung one up twice, and I mentioned so. She said she only rang up three, so I asked how much they each were... She replied with "18.00 each". I told her I thought that was strange because I have been buying these for many years and I know that they are $12.95. I flipped over one of the mugs and looked at the sticker on the bottom. This Starbucks location has taken a black sharpie and scribbled out the price on every single one of their mugs! read more

Wow, unhelpful baristas with seriously unsanitary habits. This location is always packed, and there must've been seven employees working, but watching them work was unsettling. The work space is a mess, and the cloths used to wipe the appliances are placed on dirty counters then used to wipe steam nozzles used to froth your milk. A gentleman returned his sandwich, saying he requested it with just egg, no meat, and there was bacon grease all over it. Turns out they cooked the pre-prepared sandwich (which includes bacon), then pulled it open, removed the bacon, and gave him the sandwich. I waited 22 minutes for my order, and at no point did I see a single employee put on gloves. So I can imagine how they pulled the bacon off the sandwich. (Ew.) On a pickier note, my standard order is a vanilla latte with honey, and this is the first location I've encountered that "wasn't able" to add the honey to my drink. So I asked where the honey packets are, and the barista pointed to the end of the counter. Of Course, when I checked, there were no packets. I asked two different employees if they had any more. One ignored me and the other said "maybe in the back" and just stood there. When I asked him if he could check, he disappeared and didn't return. So, yeah, I'll be taking a hard pass on this location on my next business trip. read more

I was pleasantly surprised by the great service at this Starbucks branch. Airport Starbucks' usually suck, but not so here! They did an excellent job with my great tasting Americano. The barristas all worked quickly and were very pleasant. Minus one star however for being out of almost all the food items we wanted as well as chai and some teas. How does a Starbucks run out of food and drinks in the middle of the week? Seems very odd. read more

Dear Starbucks, please hire better people. Last time I visited this place, I remember telling myself to never come back. Well this morning, I was so tired and had to get some coffee. I wait in long line and order my coffee. The person who took my order was really friendly but I could tell that he hasn't work here for a long time. I was debating between cold or ice coffee but I thought I should get a cold one since it might be easier to walk around with my luggage. I ordered a cold ice americano. Something that I ordered numerous times. NUMEROUS. The guy who took my order couldn't find the button for Iced so he Input it manually. So this is where it gets interesting. I get my coffee and it's HOT. I tell the barista that I ordered ice and he goes "I put one cube of ice in there" then I looked at him and said "I asked for iced americano" then he just paused....and looked at me like I was crazy then he started talking about the situation to his coworker and I am 55% sure that she said this be she goes "how do you make an ice americano ugh" I finally get my drink and the barista apologize for the inconvenience which I appreciate but.....I think I am gonna go to la Colombe from now on when they open! read more

The same usual high priced coffee and food is offered at the airport. The food is decent and made rather quickly. The lady who took our order was polite and nice. The food was called out by name and what the order was but the drinks were sitting on the counter. Tough to hear sometimes with the crowd. Workers made majority of the costumer wait for half an hour just to order. None of them were wearing their aprons and the lady did not wear either a hair net nor a hat on top of that. Getting orders wrong constantly. Guy on register was slow on warming station and did orders out of order. Drink was made wrong first guy on register got order wrong and then the barista on bar, after I told him my right order, made it with giant scoops of matcha which made it extremely bitter. As a traveler I frequent a lot of Starbucks. This is by far the worst. I waited in line for 30 minutes and watched everyone behind the counter move at a snail's pace. When it was my turn I ordered a coffee, oatmeal, and a water. I reminded the barista to charge me for the water, but she just waved it on. This happened to a few customers so I'm sure the company would want to know they're losing money (not that I mind). It then took another 15 minutes just to get the oatmeal, which didn't come with any type of sweetener (no honey, agave, brown sugar, etc). I didn't notice until I opened my oatmeal on the plane so I ended up with very a bland breakfast. Save your time and go to La Colombe a few steps away. read more

Even in an Airport I will not concede to subpar coffee, I will find the closest Starbucks and even if it's out of the way I will make a trip to get my morning coffee. My flight was leaving at 7am and I was definitely needing my coffee once I made it through security. I was flying out of terminal D and this Starbucks was a short walk and was between terminals B and C. My coffee was made to my liking, the baristas were friendly and I was able to use my gold card. I hope they expand their locations within the Airport and eventually add a Starbucks to terminal D, until then it's a short walk for my coffee. read more

So, first, this is an airport Starbucks... The first of its kind at PHL. Most hub airports have a Starbucks, so it's been a longtime coming here in Philly and I was excited to be able to get a Starbucks once in the airport. The verdict: Complete Disaster! There are competing standards that determined this assessment. First, it's Starbucks, which has its own, rather high standard and second, it's an airport establishment, which has to be quicker and more efficient than normal because people are actively in transit, a standard any eatery in an airport would and should be held to. Unfortunately for this Starbucks it lives up to neither of these standards. The line moved agonizingly slow. The guy taking the orders was taking his good old time. I don't mean, "My plane's coming and I need to get this and go and you're taking forever" slow... I mean, "Dude, you're literally moving like you got some methadone right before your shift" slow. Forget airport speed, it wasn't even Starbucks speed. Heck, it wasn't even DMV speed. Just awful. Next, all the employees behind the order-taker disappeared into "the back" at the same time and spent a good almost 10 minutes back there, meaning no orders were even being processed during that time. Once they came back, one of the ladies said, "If you're waiting on a drink, you need to move into the gallery." At this point there's a backup of 12-15 people waiting. As we walk past that lady, she turns and whispers to another employee, "I ain't even playing with these people today." Ordinarily I would have caused a huge stink about that, but I'm in an airport and regardless of wrong or right, I can't afford to get thrown out so I just keep moving, but man, that really ticked me off. Once the drinks came, easily 20 minutes in, my wife's order, which was supposed to have whip, didn't have any whip. Not the end of the world at all, and ordinarily Starbucks would be quick to make everything right, but it was such an unorganized madhouse that it wasn't even worth it. The employees are slow, inefficient, unorganized, inaccurate, and worst of all perhaps, they were rude which, regardless of what you think of Starbucks as a company, you almost never encounter overt rudeness like you do here. I could excuse a lot if there were some abnormal circumstance. Somebody calls out, they're short staffed, a machine is broken, abnormal rush, etc. But none of this was the case. The Starbucks by E in Charlotte is always WAY busier and they get it done. The employees staffing this Starbucks are just atrocious and it's clear they do not want to be working there. Starbucks should be embarrassed. There's lots of other places in PHL to get good coffee, Au Bon Pain, Le Bus, etc. this Starbucks is NOT worth it! Steer clear. read more

I stopped here June 24 while heading to my gate. The line was super long. When I finally got to the counter, there was only 1 register being used. Omg!!!! I figured, ok my caramel waffle cone frappuccino would be worth the wait. NOT!!! It took a while for them to make it because I believe they didn't know how. It was watery; Hardly any flavor. Surprised!!!! I never experienced that at a Starbucks. Very disappointed. I will not go back. If the line wasn't so long I would have returned it; that's how horrible it was. read more

I hit a crucial caffeine minimum on a layover in the Philly airport, and this location came to the rescue. The line seemed long, but moved quickly. They seemed to alternate between making batches of iced/frozen drinks and batches of hot drinks, which was odd, but overall we waited under 5 minutes for our order. The coffee was nothing spectacular, but my cappuccino was consistent with every one I've ever ordered at other locations, and predictability is what we're all looking for at Starbucks, anyway. read more

I've been to this location, inside the airport, many times while on trips to Philly. I love Starbucks because the experience and choices are always consistent. -This is my go-to when I'm trying to be as healthy as I can, essentially "on the go" while traveling. I can get an oatmeal, some fruit and a black coffee and I'm as happy as a clam. read more

It's a typical location, but the baristas need a bit of time management control. That will come with time. For the most part pleasant staff, but they really seems to have way to many personal conversations in a customer service setting. This was a much needed addition to PHL. read more

I travel from the Philadelphia airport about weekly. Sadly, I like to get a Starbucks when I fly, and the Starbucks in the B/C connector is the worst Starbucks I have ever encountered. At least 3 times I have had AM flights and the employees arrive late and don't open on time. They yell at customers if anybody brings it up. The employees argue with each other and customers. There will be 10plus people waiting for drinks and only 1 employee is making them. The rest just stand there. It us an airport- you would think this Starbucks would be more efficient than normal, but it is a disaster. I hope a regional manager reads this. Line painstakenly slow....being a loyal SB customer since Seattle shop first opened, you expect a standard level of service. Like a hello, employees not shuffling around like they were out all night - a pep in your step people. Well, we were at the airport with a couple hour wait so we stop by for coffee. There were minimal line, but sadly those gnats were still crawling all over the sandwiches and baked goods. Needless to say, I was too grossed out to want anything. Hubby ordered his usual ice coffee and seemed happy enough about it. I highly recommend management do something about the food case.
