As an update, this Starbucks is still top notch. Very convenient parking, very friendly staff, good quality products, and immaculately clean bathroom. Since my last review during covid-19, a five-star review, I'm happy to report that this Starbucks is still doing a five-star job. With covid-19 a bit on a down swing, they are still maintaining a very clean dining area. There cash register person is still wearing a mask. The bathrooms are still large and very clean. Of course there are no longer any mask mandates, but it is nice that the person who is interacting with customers chose to wear a mask. Many of the patrons at this Starbucks are tourists that pull off the highway. read more

Good Starbucks location in Placerville - we stopped by earlier today on our way home from South Lake Tahoe. They had a drive-through option, but we chose to go in so we could use the rest rooms, which were both clean (one of them had a latch that didn't close). Service was friendly and efficient, with an electronic board apprising us of the order status, and we were soon back on the road with our drinks. Placerville is the perfect place to have a Starbucks. It's right after the long winding ride from South Lake Tahoe. It's a great place to stop by and get a pick me up before enduring the rest of the ride home. The bathrooms are clean. They have 2 unisex bathrooms with toilets in each. The sink is communal and right outside the bathrooms. The coffee service was fast and accurate. He got his coffee right away and it was exactly what he wanted. The system rung him up accurately. He paid half with gift card and half with cash. If you sit in there cafe and drink your drink you can get a free refill. This is perfect for those working or just hanging out in Starbucks. We were on the go so we couldn't take advantage of the deal. See photo for more details. Heading to Tahoe for our annual trip, i always stop in here to get a wake up drink after a long drive. Plus i always grab one of their sandwiches. I usually go for the ham and cheese ctoissant because it had the most flavor. And the croisant makes for an interesting taste delight. I am always impressed at this location how well stocked items are. The napkin bin is always full of napkins. The sugar trays are always kept full. The milk vases are always full of milk, and never empty. You can tell that the manager really knows how to micro manage for all the little details that most people dont notice. The restroom is always clean and never runs out of towels to dry your hsnds. Stsff are alwsys cheerful and friendly. And the floors and counters are alwsys clean. Even the parking lot id kept litter free. Kudos for the many details that keep this place looking above board every time i visit. read more

This Starbucks is consistently underwhelming in every regard. It is almost comical how you can always be sure that you'll leave disappointed. The baristas have a very unpleasant attitude and they never make your drink correctly. If you order a venti coffee please except to drive away with the cup 2/3rds of the way full and scalding hot. read more

The nicest starbucks workers ever! They were so kind and said hi to everyone in line and were so patient despite the obvious rush. When I came in there were 3 employees. One at the register AND food (the job of 2 people). There was one making drinks and one at the drive through window. It's obvious the people writing bad reviews have never worked a service job before. It's not the employees fault that they're understaffed, it's the company's. Great place to kill 20 minutes waiting for a bewilderingly busy staff to get a simple order wrong. I have no idea what these people think they're doing, but whatever it is, they're doing it at a snail's pace. They seem to have dedicated the majority of staff to serving the drive-thru crowd, so waiting for coffee inside feels like an object lesson in second class citizenship. Maybe the drive-thru experience is better? But so long as you're in your car, I'm guessing it'd literally be faster to drive home and make your own coffee. Went to the restroom clean & Fresh. My mom and I got a few things. I got a vente ice water and some bacon egg bites.

The staff here were hustling. I do not want to disparage them in any way because they were working hard. However, this location was just overwhelmed. We placed an order for a simple coffee in person. The order was placed at 8:01, and it did not come up until 8:40. 40 minutes for a coffee is unacceptable. Drive-thru orders were moving along, and they were calling out dozens of mobile orders. However, the people physically inside had to wait forever. In the future, when in-person orders are backed up, the system needs to disable mobile orders. Or something. It is a better experience to deny orders than to force people to wait inside. Or at least set the expectation that it might take a while before ordering. If we had known that we would have to stand around for 40 minutes, we could have moved on quickly. read more

Employees seem uninterested, like they have better things to do other than their entire reason for working there - serve customers. Here we are, two years into the Covid 19 pandemic, on the precipice of all being infected with the continued covid re-org Omicron (thanks anti-vaxxers), and this Starbucks location has almost all of the customers not masked. There is plenty of signage indicating the mask mandate, and while most of the staff is almost properly wearing their masks, not one staff member asked the customers to mask up. This town, Placerville, while it used to be charming, has lost all of it's charm to me. Clearly, the populace here don't care about the common man. Very quick to get my order everytime. The line can be extreme long and they still get the order oit quickly. Love the tazo chai frappuccino (cream based). The pastries are a big hit too. On cold days their hot cocoa is a definite go to. Very yummy and not overly sweet. read more

Came here with my mom...brother...and sister in law...what a mistake. We came on Saturday 1-26-19... The place was busy...but here are my issues... 1. It took over 20 minutes for us to get our drinks. 2. It was busy...but there were employees in the back talking...only one guy with tattoos making the drinks. He was getting so frustrated...because...the person who was supposed to be stocking the stuff apparently was not doing his or her job...I saw him have to refill the matcha powder...other powders in the little black bins.. ..the milk...the tea...he had to walk in the back 3 times to refill items he was out of...everything he reached for...was out...all while people in the back were talking. There was 1 girl on register and 1 at drive through. I felt so sorry for the guy making the drinks...I should have taken a video...he was making drinks for all the orders himself...drive through...mobile and register...poor thing...I could see her was mad...every time something was out..he slammed it..I don't blame him...poor thing... Very poorly managed store... 3. The place was a mess..garbage on the floor...I saw drinks being poured out because they were made wrong...3 just in the time I was there... 4. There were like 20 stickers waiting to get drinks filled...and it was not until I was there 15 minutes...until the others came out to help...I even told another customer...who asked me how long i was waiting...i told him my wait was over 20 minutes...he better pull up a chair. 5. When we got our drinks...my mom and I got green tea Frappuccino....my brother vinte iced carmel macchiato...and his wife vinte...berry shaken iced tea I believe...she wanted peach..but they were out. I mobile ordered to this location earlier in the week when I was in town for work, the barista making drinks was not happy to be there and it showed. When she announced my drink I asked if it was for Danyle and she looked at the order tag (which had my name on it) and back at me and said I don't know and put it on the bar... I get my names spelt different but when I say it for most people they can put two and two together. I mentioned to her that I also had a bakery item as part of my order and she said someone would get to it. I waited over 10 minutes and saw other bakery items get brought up and was still waiting on mine. I worked customer service for a long time and had I been the barista I would have checked or mentioned to a coworker that a customer was still waiting on something when she noticed me still there. I went to the register snd inquired and they were like oh here you go there was no tag, sorry. I understand working customer service isn't always the most fun and days can get pretty rough, but the lack of customer service at this location will prevent me from returning. Seriously need their service to be quick and polite. The cashier took my order, venti soy vanilla latte and venti soy caramel macchiato, I waited patiently and didn't say anything about how slow they are in serving drinks. One lady cannot take it anymore and said something about how long she's been waiting for her drinks.. She even put her timer on her phone to see how long this time before she can get her drinks done.
