We all need that extra touch of empathy to help us keep going. My day was very sad and the young girl at Starbucks wrote such a nice note on my cup and gave me a treat to make me feel better... super super sweet. I later that day went to the Dollar Tree and my cashier, young man, was having a bad day. I pulled out my wallet to pay and saw the treat. I took it out and gave it to him telling him "Hope your day gets better" he smiled and told me thank you and that I made his day.... Passing God's blessing forward. Thank you so much! I've been to plenty of Starbucks but what makes this store stand out is the customer service. Brought in my baby and normally I get ugly/ rude faces from the staff but this was not the case. They were so welcoming and sweet. I was expecting to hear my name for my order but instead the staff brought me my order. On Saturday August 12, 2023 I went into a Starbucks at Atlantic and Federal in Pompano Beach FL. I purchased a coffee and biscotti - $5.11. As I only had $3.64 left on my card, I told the clerk I wanted to put $40 on my card she said she would put on the purchase and $40 my card $45.11 to cover both and bill my card so I could get points. She did!!! She billed me twice - once on the credit card and once o the Starbucks card. She insisted I was not charged twice. I asked to speak to the manager. He realize something was wrong but could not figure it out. I pointed out that I only had $38.16 on my card. She charged me $45.11 I explained $3.64+ $40 My account should have $43.64 on it. He recognized the problem. He refunded the $45.11 and told me the purchase was on him and then billed my card $40. As my account ended up will only $38.16, the purchase was not on him. To make matters worst, I tried to use the card today it was locked. When I called to get it resolve, I had to speak to someone in Europe that told me for security reasons, it was locked for 48 hours. I was then asked to speak to the supervisor. She (Mary) said she would try to escalate it but nothing could really be done at her end. Extremely poor customer service and of course Starbucks can isolate themselves from the customer, Terrible company. read more

I have ordered pumpkin cream cold brew plus a nitro sweet cream twice at this location and it has been consistent. I live very close and this is my go to spot. I have no complaints. I'm at the airport in Fort Lauderdale and this flimsy cup just bent and spilled coffee all over me. I'm not happy.

This location has an issue with the drive-thru line. It's so long it blocks customers from the other businesses in the plaza from parking. It's obviously my fault but while trying to leave Sea Nails next door, two cars were turning in from N U.S. 1 (both turning right into Starbucks) and another car was trying to turn left from the other side of the plaza. I was trying to turn right out of the plaza and in doing so, trying to maneuver at less than 1 mph due to the build up of cars, my back tire snagged the curb and i got a flat tire. Ugh. Not what I needed especially since im not a coffee drinker. This location needs to figure something out or just move to a new location. I don't think Sea Nails is going to be happy that a customer will not be coming because of the parking nightmare caused by Starbucks. read more

As I received my drink threw the drive threw , I started to drink it , My first sip I found a long curly hair in my drink ! I pull back around to go in and let the staff know . Visited yesterday around noon for a much needed pick me up. The drive thru a some cars and were moving a bit slow but I really needed it so I waited... after a few moments they started to roll, but now let's get to the good stuff. The cashier charged my order wrong, I asked for one size and was charged for a larger size and he asked if I wanted to the bigger size instead. Umm... no! So when I said that his attitude totally changed and seemed bothered that he had to work just a tad bit harder to get me my refund. I use to come to this Starbucks more often but since I no longer visit the area as often I don't get to come by. Jan 2022, I give the STAFF and drinks 5 STARS, however, I give 1 STAR for the cleanliness of the outside and inside of the place. Here are the CONS. FIRST, the glass windows inside and outside needed to be cleaned, you really couldn't see through them clearly. SECOND, the outside Tables were filthy and needed to be cleaned, and THIRDLY, the inside had paper napkins on the floor, and tables needed to be cleaned as well. LASTLY, the inside is dark and could use brighter lighting. Plus, the air conditioner was at full blast, very uncomfortable to sit, you needed a winter coat to enjoy your coffee. This location on Federal Highway in Pompano Beach is in a plaza with other businesses. There is decent parking but I can see it being an issue if the drive-thru line is long. I went here a little after 7pm. The place had a few people scattered about with laptops and books. The place was quiet except for the screeching of milk being steamed and the beeping of machines. I ordered a short Pike Place and sat down. The coffee was hot and fresh. The cafe was also clean. I'd stop in again if I was ever in Pompano. read more

This Starbucks has gone WAY downhill lately. My order is quite simple - "venti cold brew with 2 Splenda, that is all" LITERALLY what I say. Every time I've gone since they closed the lobby I get the response "what size? Do you want cream? Do you want sweetener? Do you want food?" And today I couldn't reach the card machine, I drive a large suv so I also couldn't readjust my truck. The girl refused to take my card herself even though she could just swap out gloves afterwards. So I just left. Last week it was- do you want cream? Do you want anything else? What food do you want with that? So I also drove away because I don't have time for this. The staff has changed 3 times in the past 6 months and for some reason they still can't get my order right. I usually get mobile pickup so it's easier for them not to mess it up, but since covid- the drive through staff must have not gone over how to speak to people. AVOID THIS STARBUCKS UNTIL THE LOBBY REOPENS, and even then, make sure you have 20 minutes to answer all of their questions before you go. read more

This Starbucks is great as a drive-thru, but if you go inside, bring a parka because it is FREEZING inside. I quickly regretted ordering an iced drink. Even for South Florida blasted air conditioning it's cold. It's a smaller Starbucks anyway, so there's that not seating galore. There are a few chairs outside. We located a Starbucks to help aid the caffeine fiend in our company. The place was packed--what, is this the only Starbucks around??? The drive thru line was ridiculously long, so we went inside to sit and drink coffee and enjoy a tiny bit of food. The Starbucks featured the La Boulange foods that the Bay Area Starbucks also offer. The girl behind the counter was friendly and very helpful--I cannot say the same for the pushy, rude, impatient woman behind me, but she has nothing to do with Starbucks, just an unwanted extension to my experience. We found a little table in a corner and enjoyed our coffee and treats. Another employee spoke to us cordially, and another cleared our table as we finished our items. This Starbucks, located in a small strip plaza, has a drive-thru, which is very convenient, though my friend and I didn't use the drive-thru, we entered the establishment to get some breakfast on the go. There is outdoor seating, and inside are your typical sofa chairs for browsing the internet, as well as indoor seating (tables and chairs). The young man behind the register was very friendly and patient, and even went through the trouble of asking people which pastry they wanted, instead of just grabbing the first one on the shelf, and he'd also verify if the one he selected was okay. He made a few jokes and recommendations on pastries, noting that the one I chose was one of his favorites (guess we both have good taste!). I got a raspberry swirl pound cake and my friend got a slice of banana bread, and we both enjoyed our pastries. We got hot chocolates for the road and we were set, though my hot chocolate could have used some whipped cream. Nice place to study, very clean, and the music wasn't so loud. Service was horrible. I was sitting for 5 minutes waiting for my chai latte to be called. I then approached the counter and when the employees noticed me walking to the counter (I noticed my drink sitting there:/) then they played it off saying "chai latte".
