This location is okay.. the orders are always right.. but there are a lot of things that are annoying. It it usually soo cold. About 65 degrees or something. The music is always waaaayyy too loud. People are trying to work, and have conversations, and cannot concentrate. And they only have 1 person restrooms. & the restroom ALWAYS smells so disgusting. I don't understand why they don't put an air freshener in there or something, because no matter when I go in there, it always smells nasty. & it's the same smell all the time. I should have read Cristina's review before we stopped in here today. However, on our way to Home Goods we almost fell asleep on the drive down 540 and had no choice but to stop in for our afternoon caffeine fix. We sluggishly made our way to the front of the line and were greeted in a monotone fashion in a "care less sort of attitude" by the cashier. She quickly took our orders and called them over to the barista. Drinks came out quickly, but my coffee drink was not really hot and tasted mostly of milk, not the coffee I was craving. Parking is a beast, and getting out of this place is a complete nightmare, so don't even bother. If you need coffee, you better find it somewhere else. The day shift workers are always wonderful, and I come in here often. However, after tonight, I think I'll be taking my business elsewhere: especially since there isn't a shortage of coffee shops near Brier Creek. I came in around 5:45 this evening, and was greeted as usual. There were about four or five girls behind the counter doing nothing, while the other took my order. The young lady who took my order forgot to ask if I wanted whip, leaving the one barista not standing around to ask. However, I wasn't looking when she was calling me to ask, so rather than politely getting my attention, she rudely shouted "HEY!" across the store to get my attention. Then she shoved my drink across the counter and finished with "there you go!" As if that weren't enough, as I approached the counter, the girls were giggling at her behavior, while she attempted to justify her rudeness. All before I even left the store! I manage a restaurant, and if any of my employees spoke to a customer the way this young lady did to me, I would have sent them home that instant. This particular Starbucks is nearly indistinguishable from the million other Starbucks out there. As a few others have said, the location is dreadful; when you're leaving you'll have to navigate the sea of minivan moms yapping on their cell phones and paying only cursory attention to their driving. If you're not heading towards Glenwood, then you'll have to snake through the WalMart parking lot to get out, which is as utterly futile as looking for your beige minivan in the DisneyWorld parking lot. Service is variable; there seems to be substantial staff turnover, so the service ranges from A-OK to donkey-butt. read more

They need help at this Starbucks. they do not have enough staff with the amount of individuals who come here throughout the week. I have been here a total of 3 times and each time I have had to wait for almost 45 minutes, approach and ask about my order, only to find out they forgot, or choose to do all smaller orders first Which in turn allows for an additional 7 people to receive orders after placing their order after me. My drinks we not the greatest or would have to be redone due to the order entered incorrectly. I waited over 30 minutes for a tall latte on a Sunday morning on the way to church. No bueno. There were about six people ahead of my friend and I when we came in and it took about ten minutes to get through the line...Okay....I can deal....Usually Starbucks makes up for the obnoxious waits with creating the drinks quickly...Nope. There was one guy making the drinks (to be fair he looked as if he was busting his butt), one girl standing by the food area just waiting for someone to order food I guess, and one girl taking orders. I have never been dissatisfied with my drinks, but the wait is terrible. They have one person in charge of food and that person just stands around when there is no food being ordered. They have also rearranged the space, so now when you are waiting on your drink you have to basically stand in the doorway. It doesn't seem very efficient. read more

The concept of the mobile ordering is supposed to be a reduction in wait time. Right? Someone tell me if I'm incorrect? I ordered about 10 minutes in advance of arriving, and it was 15 minutes before i got my drink from the surly barista. The place was crowded and no one waiting was jolly or friendly-so maybe the customers got to her, or she got to them. I don't know, but something was contagious. However, this is the first one I've noticed that is starting to serve wine, prosecco and beer in the afternoons. What a surprising delight. They call it Starbucks Evenings. You will overpay for a cup of joe at this Starbucks. Visited yesterday at 2:00 PM and the place was a disaster. Wait time was 20 minutes from getting in line to getting my coffee. Bathrooms were not maintained (no toilet paper). Bins were overflowing with trash and the area where you finish your coffee was not supplied (my usual go-to Splenda) was empty. I left without asking for it because it would have been a fruitless exercise. The staff were completely overwhelmed. I was here at about noon today and the girl who took my order (for a Mango Dragonfruit Refresher) informed me the wait would be 20 minutes. I've never had to wait for my drink at a Starbucks before so this was a surprise. She didn't ask my name so I went and sat with my friend at a table in the shop. 30 minutes passed by and drinks are piling up, and they had put my drink down. Never heard it called out or anything. It had to have been sitting there for a good while because it was condensing and dripping on the counter. Why write a review of a Starbucks? They're all the same, right? They're on every corner. The grande at one Starbucks tastes exactly the same at another. Wrong. It was chilly out when we decided a coffee would hit the spot. I ran in to order our usual two grande coffees with Splenda and cream. The barista began making our coffees. The girl at the register began complaining about how she was trying to get someone to cover her shift. She was dressed in some really sloppy- question the hygiene- clothing, talking with another employee. I gave her my card, while she continued to complain in her crusty, ill-fitting clothing. Our coffees were pretty good. I got home and noticed that we'd not been charged for two grande coffees. Instead, we'd been charged for grande mochas, a difference of more than $5. The cashier was so busy ranting about her schedule and how much she had to do, that she failed to ring up the right items. I called Starbucks and they said they'd comp two coffees and settle the bill if I'd stop by. I stopped by two days later. Different employees were working that were both pleasant and eager to help. Not the best Starbucks experience, but glad that it was handled with my patronage in mind. read more

OK so pretty disappointed here. Stopped in here after my caffeine from Wake Forest Coffee Co (the best coffee place ever, not that I am biased) wore off. The parking lot is a total nightmare. It is very tight / cramped and good luck finding an open spot. Getting out is even worse as traffic is backed up waiting to turn right out of the shopping center so they can then make a U-turn to get back to where they want to go. But I digress. Walked in and ordered my coffee (Vanilla Latte) and ended up with what tasted like pure steamed milk. This starbucks is hardly the worst one. In fact I've been a customer there for 5 years, and am only one of many faithful long-time regulars. Obviously, the other reviewer is either a SBUX tourist or an Agent of Caribou. You can't like both SBUX and Caribou for a simple reason, Caribou Coffee thinks it's alright to put nuts in their drinks, that says a lot about their clientele. Of course you could probably get that at SBUX, but there's not really that many cute guys working there, now. But, don't worry, there's plenty of chicks who are more than happy to spit in your drink, they're not afraid to go the extra mile for a customer, when they're at Starbucks, if they're escorting, it's a completely different story, believe me. Be sure to come in any weekday morning if you can get in the door, the long lines often make it a bit difficult, which by the way, are more like 30 minutes long, after that it's only 10 or 15 minutes until your drink is placed on the bar and announced. If one of the more experienced crews is working that shift, your drink will be made exactly how you ordered it, especially if you're good at believing lies you tell yourself, otherwise it may only be half-wrong.
