I have been here numerous times for brunch and will probably be back multiple times again. Excellent vegetarian dishes. Service is always great, no matter if it's big group or just a couple. Def has good drinks too.
The restaurant looks cute and has great wait staff. The food was mediocre. I've had a better tasting breakfast at Waffle House. I'm not a biscuit person but it was ok...soft. The moon dusted potatoes were missing seasoning. The eggs and pancake tasted like they came out of a carton. Steak was ok and missing flavor.
I love having brunch at the Flying Biscuit. The atmosphere is super cool and I absolutely adore the sunflower mural. They have comfortable seating inside and out and the place is welcoming. The staff members are super nice and genuinely seem to like working there. Their biscuits are heavenly and they bring each person at the table their own biscuit before the meal is served. I love love love their moon dusted potatoes. They also have a great coffee and cocktail menu. I've enjoyed everything I've ordered there. I gave 4 stars because their bathroom is terrifying. You have to touch the handle to enter the bathroom and exit the bathroom. There are no paper towels so there is no way to leave the bathroom with clean hands. I understand the restaurant saving the expense and the environment by not buying paper towels, but can we please get a swinging door instead of a door with a handle that has to be fully interacted with? A swinging door would allow people to exit the bathroom with clean hands as they could open the door with their foot.
After googling I came across this restaurant, I then went to my handy yelp to get a little more reviews. I decided on this place as I was in the area for work. There is plenty of parking. We entered, was greeted and quickly seated. The warming decorations of the reataurant and holiday spirit gave good vibes. The waitress quickly came to the table and assisted with questions as we ordered our me food and then our beverage. I chose the High Flyer. After ordering our table received complimentary biscuits w/apple butter. Food came within reason. All was good except the chicken sage sausages (they were extremely dried out and tough to eat). I did not eat them. The friendly service and otherwise meal was great and if in the area I will come back to visit.
Flying biscuit Cafe has a really fun atmosphere, friendly staff, vibrant decor and good vibes. Today we had the Nashville hot chicken appetizer (four tenders in a generous amount of Nashville hot sauce). For entres I had the southern eggs benedict with moon dusted potatoes and my wife had the Meggsican wrap with the potatoes. Everything was delicious, it would be hard to pick a favorite. The real star of all of it though is the complimentary biscuit they serve. I don't know what they do to this biscuit but you should do yourself a favor and get over to the Flying biscuit and get yourself one, I mean treat yourself!!!!

My family, and I love to come to the flying biscuit, especially this location due to its proximity to both of our houses. We came most recently on Sunday and must've just beat the crowd because typically we have to wait. But we were actually able to get seated pretty quickly. It was very busy. That being said, our server was awesome and attended to us quickly, and got our food and drinks as quickly as she could. I had gone on a run that morning, so I was really hungry, so I got the special that had French toast, eggs, meat, and a side. And I eat every bit of it. Really, I've never had anything that I didn't enjoy here, but I really enjoyed this meal. we all were very happy with our meals and satiated by the end. The flying biscuit is a great spot for breakfast or brunch with friends.

Great place for a quick bite! FBC is conveniently located minutes from the airport and offers lots of free parking. Upon entering, we were warmly welcomed and shown to our table. Our server promptly came over and was ready to take orders. Everything on the menu sounded great so it took a few minutes to decide. After careful consideration, I decided on the Egg-Stravaganza with a Chai Latte. Complimentary biscuits are served while you wait. After a minimal wait time, food was served as ordered. Aside from the chicken sausage being a bit dry, everything was prepared quite nicely. Service was friendly and attentive. FBC is a safe pick when flying into RDU.

Warm soft biscuits with a sugary top accompanied by a very good apple butter. The chicken tenders were crispy, unfortunately the portion I sampled could have benefited from a bit more seasoning. The dreamy grits include white cheddar, per our server, and perhaps heavy cream or some other milk substance. Good. Omelette overcooked but still edible. Food: 3.3 Staff: 3.5 Atmosphere: 3.6
So, I was traveling with my family and we decided to try this place. It was down the street from the hotel we stayed at. It seems to be a very busy spot so went early around 10 am. We were seated immediately and our server brought out waters. We were looking over the menu and waiting for the server he came I wasn't ready, he left and it took forever for him to return. My husband actually left the restaurant went to Walgreens down the street and returned before the server came back to the table. So at this point, I have some questions about menu because this was first time at this restaurant. My family put their order in before me as I was still looking at the menu. But I did not want the server to leave the table again because he does not return. I placed my order, he left went into the kitchen and came right back with some delicious looking biscuits. He had 2 plates with 2 biscuits on each plate. But apparently each person gets one biscuits and it was only 3 people at my table. He took his bare hand and grabbed one of the biscuits off a plate and put it in another plate and walked off with it. I've worked in food service over 20 years that was unsanitary and unprofessional. Everyone seemed very pleasant and the hostess was very kind but servers need to know the basics with food handling. I've taken and given Food Handlers training. Other staff brought out the main meal. Again everyone was nice but it wasn't the best experience for me.
This bright and colorful restaurant offers a wide menu that includes something for everyone. We were greeted promptly, seated and someone brought us our beverages. Then it took a while to figure out what we wanted. My husband settled on the Smoked Salmon Scramble which included potatoes (or grits or fruit) and Flying Biscuits with Apple Cranberry jelly. He said it was okay but the eggs could have had more dill flavoring. I ordered the Stuffed French Toast Breakfast which was lovely. It was sweet, but not overpowering and the strawberries had a little tartness that I enjoyed. The eggs were OK. Looking at mine and my husband's I think they could've been fluffier. All in all it was a wonderful breakfast and I think you will enjoy it.
We went after the lunch crowd. Our server was quick and friendly and the restaurant was clean. I ordered the waffle and Hot Chicken and my Husband had the Steak and eggs. My waffle and chicken was good. The grits tasted off to me. The steak was a little tough but the eggs were good. I was disappointed over all because usually when I come the food has always been really good this time it wasn't.
We stopped by and had a delicous breakfast, hang out with the kid is always the best! He got the chicken tenders woth fries, we got good old classic eggs and protien with a pancake. Donut bites are on the dry side, just a heads up. It can get busy but service is always great! Coffee is fresh and everyone had a smile. Food is amazing and no wait for a table. Besides the biscuits and cranberry apple butter (which are fluffy and amazing), our food was pretty mediocre. I've been to another Flying Biscuit location and the food there was great, so maybe this location was just having an off day. Also, we were sat at a table that had trash from the previous diners tucked behind the sugar bowl (gross). My husband had the Pancake Tacos and said they were okay. I had the Wake Up Burger and was disappointed. The flavor of the burger patty was weird, and my Moon-Dusted potatoes were stale or undercooked. The service was good, and the restaurant is cutely decorated. I'd give this place another try if a friend wanted to go, but I'm not rushing back, and I definitely won't be ordering a burger here again. read more
We stopped by on a Wednesday morning at around 9 AM. Not crowded at all. This location does not have any weekday breakfast specials. We both had regular coffee. I had the chicken and waffles. Chicken was super crisp and the waffle was good. Hubby had the southern comfort scramble. Those potatoes were delicious !! Before the meal was served we both received a biscuit with apple butter. Biscuit was good. Not the best I have ever had. Overall, the service was great. Restrooms were clean. The food was good. We would probably not go back. First time here. The place inside is colorful and was super busy. It has a pretty cool vibe, with a bar and more table around the back of the restaurant. The service was decent and all seemed to be friendly. The food itself was excellent. They make a killer biscuit which is a decent size. Overall our party enjoyed their meals. Loveeeee this place!!! I pretty much always get the same thing every time I go, but it's THAT good! The vibe is chill, kinda busy but not overwhelmingly busy. The waitresses most of the time have a pretty good attitude. If you're planning to go here on the weekend, be there right when they open or you WILL have to wait quite a bit! During the week, the wait isn't too bad. If you're 21+ I recommend sitting at the outside bar! & get a mimosa!!!! read more

I stopped in here for the first time to grab some breakfast while waiting for my car to be serviced. Or area leaves a lot to be desired when it comes to vegan options, so I was pleased to have a few vegan things on their menu. I'm a fan! I was in the Raleigh airport area and looking for brunch. Ended up at this new location of Flying Biscuit Cafe. According to their website, the Flying Biscuit Cafe has been opened for 30+ years in Atlanta, GA. It has now grown to 29+ locations in Georgia, North Carolina, Florida, and Texas. Food is Southern inspired. Most famous for biscuits and grits! I really love their biscuits. The child in me screams "It's So Fluffy"! Their grits were uber uber creamy. For entree, I tried their Southern Style Benedict. I really like Pimento Cheese. I also tried their BlueBerry Lemonade Mocktail. Yum!! My friend tried their Classic Benedict with Grits and their Buttermilk Pancake on the side. This was his first time trying Southern Breakfast; he gave it a 3.5. Service was attentive. Stopped here for lunch after leaving the airport. Was greeted warmly upon entering and seated quickly. The restaurant was very bright and welcoming. I ordered the chicken tenders which came with grilled mac and cheese and collard greens. The grilled mac and cheese was interesting. It was tasty but had a texture I didn't care for. The chicken tenders were a nice size and were okay and the collard greens were very well seasoned. The biscuit was an average biscuit. I also had the mimosa flight which I enjoyed very much. I particularly liked the set up which showed the different flavors. The service I received was very good. It was a nice lunch experience. read more

Terrific breakfast and sandwich place! My meal: ~Blueberry Lemonade: refreshing and zesty! A wake-up for my senses ~Biscuits with apple butter: fluffy sweet biscuit with a texturrific dusting of sugar on the outside ~Oh My Grits bowl: well salted and buttered grits, white cheddar, spinach, Impossible sausage topped with over easy eggs. Dashes of Cholula hot sauce to add that sour heat and fresh ground salt and pepper to taste. I will be back for more. This location is smaller than the Village District location. They were busy when we entered, cleaning off tables, etc. That was fine but it was weird that no one acknowledged us for several minutes. When they did we were seated fairly quickly. I ordered my usual, the Hollywood omelette and creamy dreamy grits. I also happened to notice on the menu that they had gluten free toast. I asked the waitress if I could have that instead of biscuit. She said yes and did not say anything about an upcharge and the menu didn't either. When the bill arrived I was charged extra for the toast. Had I known I wouldn't have ordered it because it was typical boring gluten free bread. Still a good meal and experience but would encourage staff to clarify if there is an upcharge for something. read more

Stopped in today for lunch. Overall, an average experience and meal. Our server was terrific and very friendly. The decor is so cheerful and welcoming. The food is average, nothing that wowed us. My eggs were a bit dry and the fried potatoes were very bland. The grits, though - very delicious! Would visit again, but would try a different meal. Located in a busy strip, parked a bit away due to not many close by spots. read more
