What I don't get is that the barista let an older, loud man, who is obviously a regular jump the line and get his beverage before those of us who have been waiting for 15 minutes. This is the second time I've dealt with the rudeness of this store. I placed a curbside order through the Starbucks app and my order was suppose to be ready at 6:57. When I pulled up they acknowledged me through eye contact and I was parked in the curbside space and click "I'm here" in the app. 5 mins go by. Another eye contact is made. 7 mins go by. Another eye contact is made. After about 12 mins I could tell they had no intentions on bringing me my order. I contacted customer support and received a credit. But I decided to call the store to see what the issues was. The barista told me "oh yeah we don't bring out orders when it starts to get dark but your order has me ready for half a hour". How was I suppose to know this? I've received orders past this time before. If they would've just leaned out the door and let me know they don't do curbside after a certain time (app still allowed this) I would've gladly came in. I walk in to order my food and the lady acted almost pissed that someone was buying f coffee. The lady making the coffee was even more pissed that I asked if they had already added cream and sugar. When I asked for extra sugar to take home she added some in a cup (without a lid) then was pissed when I told her she could stop pouring after like 5 seconds. I wanted just a few packets not 2lbs. This is your typical bustling Starbucks in a retail area. The workers fill drinks and serve the pastries with blank-faced efficiency. Businesswomen and men using the space for a morning meeting make calls and scribble notes in their pads. I'm here to get a cardboard carafe of coffee for my office to celebrate the holidays along with some snowman and reindeer cookies. It's definitely a longer wait than a typical order, but they have to make sure there's enough Christmas Blonde roast to fill the carrier. In addition, they pack to-go cups and cream for the road. Ok guys. Listen up! There are some things that need to be fixed at this location. First. Does this location have heat in the winter? It's freezing! Second. Fix these freaking speakers! I've been here for months and this humming sound is not only annoying but a TERRIBLE look for any Starbucks brand. The company invest money into playlist that invite people into their stores. Third. The drinks are VERY inconsistent. I would say names because this is my preferred location but respectfully... Management is the problem here. I just asked to switch me to the classic Oatmeal instead of risking eating expired packaged fruit. I put alot of faith in starbucks, they did apologise but I am just a little disappointed I guess because of my own expectations from the brand. I had ordered at 7848 Alexander Promenade many times because my office is down the street. She just snapped at me and said small or small. I replied I normally get small or medium. This Starbucks takes their time on making their drinks. You can taste all of the flavors you ask for and they are blended amazingly. I just recently moved from California and I was shocked just from the look of the drinks out here. The Starbucks in California I feel don't take their time and the workers aren't as experienced as the workers in Raleigh. 10+ year veteran barista here, so I usually give baristas the benefit of the doubt, but this place has got to spend more time on training. I visited at about 330, when they were not very busy. Watching the barista try to manage multitasking between drinks was like witnessing someone try to shove a banana through a keyhole. It was a mess. It took over 10 minutes to get 2 drinks, and the person who ordered a frappe almost 5 minutes after I ordered got their drink first. I totally understand that coffee shops get busy, and when they do it's going to take awhile. Thank you to this Starbucks for enforcing state law in regards to wearing face masks. I witnessed an employee very politely inform a customer that she needed a face covering - the customer immediately complied and got a mask out of her car. Everyone was polite and there was no drama. Service was just not the typical friendly Starbucks service. Unfortunately I had to stand at the cashier with out anyone greeting me or mentioning that it'll be a few minutes. Since I had cancel meeting I'd figure I had time to spare to come to find out after standing there for 5 minutes to place my order to waiting an additional 10 minutes to receive my beverage. After my favorite baristas left my drinks never come out right. If I don't ask for a London fog, then please don't make me a London fog. I don't like the syrup this why I DONT order it. I've been to this starbucks several times and feel that I need to review it. The drinks at all starbucks are practically the same so you will know what to expect. So my review is strictly based on the service and store. The store itself is in an old shopping center. Parking is plentiful and easy to get in and out of. That's the only positive thing I can say about this location. There isn't much seating as it is a smaller store (seems typical of Starbucks in Raleigh however). My major complaint about this location is the service. The employees have been rude and its always chaotic when they take my order. More than once have there been 2 or 3 employees shouting at me to take my order. I don't know who to look at or who to give the order to. Its conistanly unpleasent here for the lack of seating and service. 1 star for the horrbile experiences! read more

PTL !!! I'm not a coffee person. ((traumatic experience). But I love tea! (Only green and passion tea). Starbucks is where I used to go for both. Unfortunately once they changed to teavana I no longer get the green tea. It's too weak. (BRING BACK TAZO) the passion tea is still decent. I get so many shots of sweetener that I can't tell the difference. The staff here is nice. It's located In a little shopping plaza. You can get bagels next door or Thai across the way. All in all I won't visit everyday due to the price. However , u should definitely treat yourself once a month. read more

I live on the opposite site of town and I go out of my way to visit this store when I can.I love that the store is always very clean, the staff is welcoming and my drink is always made correct (and it is complicated). I only visit about 2-4 times per month yet Stacy, Charlie and Frankie always remember me ( and my crazy drink). I wish I loves closer and this was my "home store". Not all Starbucks are created equal. Let me start by saying I am captive to the "Siren" of Starbucks and go to locations just about everywhere. I do live close to this location and each time I visit, I'm always shocked by something new, an act of kindness, a smile, a helpful hand, and the list continues. Customers here feel welcomed so much they bring flowers from their garden to display and for others to enjoy. It stems from a sense of community and responsibility that this location seems so make so effortless. I can't say this for many locations and thought it needed to be shared. read more

There were 3 employees working, 2 males and 1 female (long blonde hair). Myself and 2 friends came in. I was the second to order. My order was wrong, except I wasn't really sure since I was trying a new drink. My friend ordered something else but it looked exactly like mine. I held mine up and started to ask if it was supposed to look more creamy, like the picture. But before I could say anything, the lady snatched it out of my hand, dumped it, and made a new one without saying a word. When she was finished, she proceeded to slam it down on the counter and walk away. Again, without a word. The new drink was basically just milk, a little pink color, but no guava flavor. It tasted like iced milk. I was really disappointed. More so in her behavior. I'm a police officer and I deal with bad attitudes all day every day. I wasn't rude to her and I don't think she should have been rude with me. Her behavior and bad attitude were unprofessional and unprovoked. I will not be returning to this store. Ever. read more

This is my neighborhood starbucks and it's where i get my caffeine fix! Drinks are the same as all other Starbucks. It's located in an old shopping center, but it's right off Glenwood and it's never too crowded other than the morning/afternoon rush. Whenever they are slammed, their barista-extraordinaire Charlie (and I believe he is now in the management position as well) will be there to get you in and out in a flash! He's fast, and what's best is that he remembers what you order after just one visit! It's great when you're on the go! (I did feel bad when I changed up my order from my usual and confused him). On the side note, has anyone seen this cool older Cuban gentleman who sits outside in the mid morning drinking his espresso reading a book?? His presence makes this joint a café and not just a franchise coffee shop. :) read more
