UPDATED REVIEW: I definitely prefer visiting local tea/coffee shops but I come here because it is close to my house plus they stay open somewhat late. DRINKS -- I don't drink coffee so I normally order tea. I like the green tea matcha drink (hot). CON - The chairs are not that comfortable but see the pro below. PRO - I love that there are 2 sofa's downstairs next to the fireplace. I love seating in that area to read. The first floor also has a small cushion (sofa) chair at the back. The menu is extensive. Normally I try to support small locally-owned coffee shops but I needed a place to work and this is a very big Starbucks is going upstairs downstairs and it has plenty of tables and comfortable chairs to either sit and work on a notebook or a laptop or go through your phone and read a book. The staff were helpful and worked hard and what they were supposed to do. I was able to get old fashioned iced coffee which I like without all the regular syrup and stuff in it but you got to remember to ask for that. so I would recommend this place as a typical Starbucks that it actually has a lot larger area if that's what you're needing to do to if you wanted to have a meeting with friends it would be pretty accessible. read more

My love. My one and only. My true soul mate. Starbucks? You rock my world. Put the wind in my sails and the coffee in my cup! This has to be one of my favorite locations. Not because it is the newest and shiniest. In fact, it is one of the duller crayons in the box. But, this location has character. Sure, getting in and out of the parking lot is like playing Russian roulette with your life. But, at least you will die with coffee in hand! I love the fact that this location is split level. Seating is available on all 3 levels. The loft upstairs has ample table seating with a cool view of the first level. The main level is where the magic happens. Minimal seating, but a good size retail shop. The lower level has more table seating and some cozy chairs next to the fireplace. Minimal seating outside in the front, but that's ok Starbucks. We won't hold it against you. This location is clean, the staff is friendly and efficient and they always get my order right. The downsides? The parking lot is an absolute mess. They are working with a small footprint here, so nothing can be done. It also has no drive thru.....boo! But again, small footprint. If you haven't been here, come and enjoy! read more

This is one of the better Starbucks stores that there is in Cleveland. The service is quick, the bakery items are fresh, and there is three floors for you to enjoy. I've never had to return any of my drinks for being made incorrectly, they are very precise when making them. The time you need to wait in line is just like any other Starbucks. Not too slow. The mobile order function at this store in particular is a great addition. Whenever I mobile order a drink or treat, it is usually ready in 2-5 minutes. I love how efficient the wait time is. The Starbucks itself has a great environment. With three floors and multiple fireplaces, it is a great place to do work or relax. My only complaint about this Starbucks is that it is usually busy! I walk around sometimes looking for somewhere to sit. But other than that, the Starbucks is very nice, including the bathrooms which are usually kept nice and clean. Overall, this Starbucks is a great place to come in the morning or afternoon to relax or pickup a drink. Highly recommended! read more

The baristas a number one in my book they always get my drink right no matter how much I change it they always get my drink right and if you get a certain barista she will do a beautiful pictures that make you smile on your cup they're always friendly they always try to get to know you honestly this is the best Starbucks I go to I've tried them almost all in Ohio but this one is the best in my book and will always be specially when I talk about the barista's I love them to death they do make my day when I'm having a crappy day they bring me right up I love this place. This is one of the better Starbucks I have been to thus far in my Starbucks addiction. Kick ass barista's that can move a line quickly and efficiently. Two floors of seating offering patrons a view of the hustle and bustle or seclusion downstairs while enjoying free Wi-Fi. Temperature can be a problem on both floors of seating, do you want cold or hot? Up to you and what your body can handle. This is the Starbucks for people with laptops. Very average Starbucks experience. Pleasant efficient service. The downside to this location is the ergonomics. Seating is only up and down from the ordering level which makes it tough for anyone with agility issues. The parking lot is a disaster. If you can even find a spot to park you are risking damage to your vehicle in the tight fit behind the building or few spots on the side. Price aside because they can't control this since it is a chain, this is my favorite Starbucks hands down. I have never been to a Starbucks where the employees are all so nice, not afraid to hold a conversation, everyone says hello to everyone, and the drinks are always made perfectly. The parking at this place isn't the best and there is no drive through but besides that it is great. The staff is friendly, the store has a very unique layout, and the building is built to look like every other place in Rocky River. It fits in with the look of Rocky River. They do small things like writing cute messages on bananas, having an "customer of the week" and always have great comics hanging on the bulletin boards. My favorite Starbucks in the Cleveland area. This one is very large inside and has comfy chairs. I used to really enjoy going to the Starbucks in Independence, but they have since remodeled and taken all of the comfort out of that place and replaced it with metal and fake wood. Gross. Anyway, back to this one in Rocky River. It can get a little cold in there on the lower level because of the air conditioning vents. But I have never had an issue on the main floor, where there are two plush velour chairs that I always try to sit on. (Not at the same time.) I should also mention that, because of its proximity to Erie Island, I barely ever go to this Starbucks. Erie Island isn't any less expensive, unfortunately, but the atmosphere and food/drinks are amazing and I always favor the more local of the two options when I can. However, I had a Living Social thingie I wanted to redeem, hence the Starbucks visit. And sometimes, it's nice for a change of pace from Erie Island. read more

I actually really think GetGo has great coffee so I'm not a Coffee Snob, more of a Gas Station Guru....but anyways I come to this location when I'm on my way to work. My favorite Starbucks. The staff is friendly, the store is nicely laid out, and they have a nice selection of products. First, the folks that work there: very friendly, without being fakey fake friendly. Very important! They also are the only location that I've seen that write fun things on the bananas for sale. Cute, very cute. The store has multiple levels, so there are plenty of hidey holes to sip and read. There is no drive thru, but there is plenty of parking behind the store. And these folks are fast. I have never had my order languish behind the counter when they forgot it. (See the Beachwood Mall or Mayfield/SOM location if you want that.) As someone posted above, Starbucks is Starbucks. Or is it? I am not a coffee snob by any means, but since I don't work in an office, coffeshops are where I do most of my work. From that standpoint, this Sbucks is AWESOME! It is huge inside, with a split-level. The lower level filled with great tables and chairs, as well as comfy large chairs to sit in with your favorite book. The upstairs has more of the same as well as a larger conference room. I am not sure, but I suppose you could reserve it for community meetings. What I love most about this particular Sbucks is not just how big and cozy it is inside, but how incredibly friendly the baristas are! Just today when I went in the cashier asked me what else I was doing today. I shared that i was getting my hair done right down the street . A fun conversation then ensued with the barista making my drink. She asked what I was getting done with it and she even offered fun suggestions! How fun it is to have real conversations with real people! I totally recommend this Sbucks for a work meeting, study place, community planning meeting or just a comfy chair to read your favorite guilty-pleasure novel. read more

I do enjoy that my trip to this Starbucks was super quick and pleasant. Not a great parking lot, lots of ice, and a bit over crowded.

We all pretend we don't like Starbucks, though we do. I love to support local coffee shops whenever possible but still frequent a Starbucks here and there. I have to agree with Bridget F-- the staff here is way more pleasant than many coffee trolls I have encountered in my day. I've also seen them be pretty patient with some pretty difficult people with difficult requests (why does no one just order a coffee anymore?!). The interior is clean, the wi-fi isn't awful, and it's a decent place to take a break and do some work. There are obviously worse places you could be! There's no drive-thru here, so be prepared to grab your coffee inside! read more

They have all made an effort to get to know me, and use my name when I walk in. Now I know why Norm loved Cheers so much...it feels so comfortable and just like home. This Starbucks is deceptively large inside. It's laid out like a bi-level home, where you walk into a lobby where the espresso machines are, but your seating options diverge to an upstairs or downstairs lounge area. I had only ever gotten to-go coffee here because when I popped in, I thought all the seats on the entry level were filled and that's all there was. Today I looked around a bit more and realized I had totally missed how large the upstairs was, and that there was a downstairs I had never noticed. I found the downstairs level a bit too basementy, and too full of people on their computers. Upstairs I found a roomy, light filled loft type space with colorful velor chairs and many marble topped cafe tables next to outlets, lots of outlets. Upstairs also offers a group/community room. I read two signs on the french doors leading to the conference style room. One indicated the room is not available to groups during the morning rush (5-10am due to parking issues), the other asked people to not bring outside food and drink. Duh! I can't help but feel that last sign was directed toward one group in particular who must have members sneaking in snacks. The barista was super smiley and very helpful, borderline flirty which is a difficult line to walk, but always appreciated. Who doesn't like feeling flirted with! Also, it's nice to note that Starbucks now has free wifi. I think most of you know this, but for years it was on a pay for wifi system that kept me away. read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. There was a horizontally-challenged girl (HCG) cashier and a hipster-wannabe barista (HWB) who were completely rude and unprofessional. I asked for an ICED drink, and the HCG didn't hear me. Okay, I supposed, no biggie--easy fix, make another drink in a jiffy, right?" Nooo..instead, the HWB looks over to the HCG and says, "Did she say 'iced?"/"No,"the HCG says. of course siding with her 1 coworker crony. (Thought bubble: Why question it? Just make another drink! Don't give me attitude!) Then the girl behind me jokingly mocked when she got her drink. "'Oh, I said 'iced.'" And they all started laughing. I was completely humiliated. I can't control the big (literally) B customer behind me, but the behavior of the service girls behind the counter was completely UNPROFESSIONAL. I knew the moment I walked in and they didn't greet or smile I'd get terrible service. Even when I left, I smiled as best I could and said, "Thank you." These girls should not work in the public. I prefer this Starbucks over the one on Lorain. Very kind and fast service, drive thru is always wrapped around your building but very speedy service. I'm obsessed with the new triple Carmel frap. Disappointing. The coffee didn't taste like it costs $7.. I don't think I'll be going to Starbucks again anytime soon. I mean, it's ok if you want to sit around with a cup with the logo on it and smugly talk like you're enlightened by being there.. I didn't feel enlightened or even superior after visiting there and overpaying for a coffee and listening to the clients chat about how small their carbon footprints were. This is my favourite sbux location to spend time in-I'll drive a bit out of my way to get to this one. The employees are friendly and fast. This Starbucks has a basement and an upstairs which means there is always a good spot to study. In the winter there is a basement fireplace.This place gets busy on weekends but there is pretty much always somewhere to sit. read more

Just use their app and order ahead! Their app can get u free drinks and even more!!! Also, the parking at this location is terrible!! I discovered this particular Starbucks this morning and decided to venture in. While my Grande, Iced, sugar free, soy, no foam latte was very satisfying I couldn't help but notice the prominent bulge in the barista's pants. His bulge was so massive that it nearly burst out of his shorts, begging for air. I couldn't help but bring this to his attention to where he replied, "You like my big harry nut sack?" I did not entertain his question but rather suggested he wore an apron of sorts to where he replied, "Do you like the taste of my big nut sack? Because that's what's in your latte, bitch!" The barista then proceeded to remove his bulging nut sack from his khaki shorts and plop it on the counter for display while screaming R. Kelly lyrics. The lady next to me spit up her coffee, realizing that this man's absurdly gigantic, harry, nut sack had been dipped in her caffeinated refreshment. I, not without careful deliberation, continued to sip my Grande, iced, sugar free, soy, no foam latte. I most likely will be visiting this Starbucks again. I may have learned something new about myself today... I like the taste of a big harry nut sack. read more
