Running an errand and stopped by Starbucks off Colima. It's a relatively new location so very clean. I placed a quick mobile order for a shaken espresso with cold foam and brought my personal cup. While the drink itself was good, the transition with mobile pickup using a personal cup was not very smooth. There seemed to a delay during the handoff process, and it made the experience feel less seamless than a standard mobile order. I appreciate Starbucks encouraging reusable cups, but the process could be improved to make it quicker and more organized for both customers and baristas. But, still love this option of using mobile for my personal cup. Always love my coffee!!! read more

This is in a rather nice mini-mall location and has a nice tall ceiling feeling opulent and rich. The staff are super efficient and were able to prepare my ice black tea with classic syrup in record time. I use the app to order ahead so I don't have a long wait. Usually get my drinks at the drive thru which is sooooo convenient. This is located at the Banana Bay strip mall which is usually super busy but there is plenty of parking so don't despair. read more

Everyone is familiar with Starbucks so there's nothing really extraordinary about it. What stands out at this Starbucks location are the employees. All of my kids wanted a drink for the long drive home before we parted ways. There were 13 of us in my party ordering a big order, but the staff were super nice, friendly and patient!! It's been a while since I've last come over to the Yes Plaza for anything. It was nice to see a large newer looking Starbucks. I was here a bit early to meet up with my friends for dinner, I stopped in here to get a drink while I waited. Per the usual with any Starbucks that I visit, I placed my order on the mobile app. By the time I walked over, my drink was ready as soon as I entered. My grande salted caramel cream cold brew was on par with other Starbucks that I'd visited. As it was in the past, the parking at this plaza looked to be scarce, but Starbucks had their own little lot. Even though it was spacious inside, it was still pretty crowded. This Starbucks is brand new and is the location that is slightly hidden behind all the holiday decors at Banana Bay restaurant that I secretly do not wish others are able to find. Yes, I want this Starbucks all to my self. It's clean, always have food fully stocked, super easy to find parking (for now), with short drive thru lines throughout the day and I want to keep it that way! When I am here getting my coffee, I do not feel like I am actually in Rowland Heights at all. I love all the baristas here (especially the morning shift). It is the same as any other Starbucks on what they serve .This Starbucks is pretty roomy with indoor tables and chairs to sit down and enjoy your coffee, pastries or breakfast. Today I ordered pumpkin spice latte and a cheese danish. Well, as I've always stated, I think Starbucks is a tad overpriced in their items. The cheese danish is too small in volume weight for the $3.65 +tax it costs. Its taste really good though. Just got (online order) my fave lavender oat milk matcha and tomato Mozzarella focaccia. Both drink and focaccia are delicious. I have ordered these two faves in other branches , but I'm very satisfied with this branch. The customized lavender matcha oat milk taste is perfect, just as I expected and the tomato mozzarella focaccia is so delicious and well balanced taste. This might be more of a critique of the app or the way they handle transactions. I went to the store earlier today, but decided to order on the app because I wanted to go to the restroom when I got there. Once I arrived though the lobby was closed because of an in-store event. I called the store to ask if I could just cancel the order because I wanted to actually sit inside and do some work. So without that, I didn't really want the drink anymore. But they said that they could not refund it and that I needed to go through the drive-through to pick it up. I did. It was fine. The vibe and the staff are very nice. But I feel like it's kind of dumb to not have that much flexibility with customers when they ask customers to be flexible with their ability to go in their store and use the lobby. I understand that they have an event. Again as a customer, I can be flexible and go OK no problem. I won't get a coffee today. But I had to get it anyways. And now I'm just drinking it at home where I could've made my own drink. So maybe a bit more flexibility would be nice. Again the store is nice, the staff is friendly, but that process is really inflexible and stupid. read more

Very nice, modern, and sleek new Starbucks in Rowland Heights. It's super clean and has a lot of seating. Came in at 11am on a normal business day and it was decently busy but didn't take long at all to get my drink. There was no line which was nice but there were several people in the store who appeared to be here to mostly study/use the internet. I got my typical matcha iced latte and my pet peeve is when they shake the drink so hard that it forms so much froth/bubbles that they end up pouring half of it into your cup and discarding the actual drink ! A new employee was being trained and was the one who made my drink and I appreciate the awareness and subtle teaching her trainer was giving her. The staff greeted everyone who came in with a good morning and they treat everyone with respect and towards each other. Definitely one of the nicer Starbucks I have been to. Nice looking Starbucks but most of the workers here are rude and very unfriendly. The first couple months they were open..the employees and service was amazing. But..not so much these days. I get Starbucks at least twice a day and go to many different Starbucks depending on what area I'm in and this one has got to have the worst staff. I frequent this one due to work throughout the week these days and rarely have a good experience with their customer service. For example.. the male employee (he works there quite often) handed me my drink through the drive thru window yesterday by sticking his arm out with my drink in hand without even turning his face towards me or bothering to say anything. But the employees are always nice, helpful and get the drinks out quickly you barely notice. The parking situation is horrendous. The area is super congested and drivers are terrible. It is confusing to maneuver around the shopping center. The drive thru was long and wraps around the back of building. This location is near the freeway ramps, restaurants and near the mall. Inside was clean and nice.
