A good spot for a quick grab and go. My sister and I like to buy the coffee beans for our Coffee Club at work. The folks at Starbucks are always happy to grind the bag of beans for us. The best thing I like to get is the Trenta Passion Tea Lemonade! It's sooooo refreshing! And if I'm in a pinch, their protein boxes are perfect for a quick, impromptu lunch. Disclaimer: I am addicted to Starbucks! But maybe not for the reason you may think (i.e., the drinks). I frequently scope out Starbucks locations to study at and, along the way, have developed a set of criteria for ranking their 'study-spot-worthiness.' There are 4 main things I look for in a good study-spot-worthy Starbucks... 1) Available seating and access to outlets: At this location, there are plenty of tables and more than half of the seats have access to outlets. 2) Lighting: There is a moderate amount of lighting, from windows (with half-open blinds) and lights above seating that aren't adjacent to windows. 3) Loudness: The volume and genre of music played here seems to vary each time I visit (which makes me think it's barista dependent) and can be too loud on some days, making studying without headphones difficult. 4) Their take on the free teas/coffees refill policy*: The baristas here are very friendly and have never given me attitude about refilling my drink or switching between teas/coffees! *Tip: Yes, it is a legit Starbucks-wide policy! (and a pretty sweet one too!) Many people don't know about it, even though it's listed as a perk of having a Starbucks card, but if you're interested in learning more, you can look it up online or ask a barista at your next visit. TL;DR: I consider this Starbucks location a great study-worthy spot. The pros (more than half the seats have outlet access, there is good lighting, the baristas are fine with the free teas/coffees refill policy*) definitely outweigh the con (variability of the music--which can be too loud on some days and make this a difficult place to study at). read more

One of my favorite study spots. There's enough space inside and outside for group studying or on your own. The employees here have always been so helpful. The iced caramel macchiato is my favorite pick me up for a long day of studying. I use the Starbucks app and am able to accumulate points pretty quickly for free drinks or different products. They sometimes provide samples, which makes it a great way to learn about vast drink menu they have. Overall, pretty chill (clean) environment. read more

I visit this Starbuck's regularly, via the drive-thru since the Pandemic started. Today, Sunday July 31, 2022 I ordered online, my usual: chai tea latte with non-fat milk. With some cinnamon powder sprinkled in. I get home and take a sip and all I get is caramel syrup...I don't get chai tea. Not sure what happened with my online order. :/ read more

The white female Manager at this location on Medical drive with a numeral tattoo across her throat in old English letters wasn't wearing a mask while handling my coffee and then proceeded to make sexual comments to me when I came up to the bar about how "I look like a clam that she'd like to smash". Being an African female, never have I ever been so grossed out and offended. This Starbucks has been my regular go to but now I won't be going back. This little caffeine stop is conveniently located next to Walgreens and right off of both Medical and Wurzbach. It always has a steady flow of customers, but the staff here are very efficient, and keep the line moving. The drive thru is a little tricky to get into, but it moves quickly too. I usually order the cold brew or a venti green tea. The service is fast and friendly and the coffee is consistent. Great place for a coffee stop! read more

The staff at this location were awesome this morning! They could tell I was in a rush and had ordered at a different location by mistake. My baby cousin goes to the Children's Hospital down the road from here so whenever myself or anyone in the family need a nice cup of Joe, I come to this Starbucks (fairly new). The staff is friendly and the drinks are made to perfection! I even caught one of the Baristas experimenting flavours for a drink. The facility is small, but very clean and quiet. The music isn't blasting super loud like some of the other locations. read more

Okay, well first off, we all know we're addicted to Starbucks. And all have our own drink preferences. Let's set all that aside. I determine if I like a Starbucks location by not only how well they make the drinks I like, but also how well the team works. I think that every team member at this location puts in maximum effort, I get a genuine greeting any time I walk inside the store, and whoever is working drive thru always makes sure to ask you how your day was. Those little things make the biggest difference in my day and that is why I choose to come to this Starbucks vs. the one that's across the street from where I live. This is probably the loudest starbucks I have ever been to. Definitely not the place to go if you plan to study without headphones. I politely asked the baristas to turn the music down if possible twice and it is still loud. Other than the volume, I would recommend this spot for the availability of seatings, drinks and food. I've never been here and never had a spot to sit in. Also be careful with the baristas - once I had brought in my own tall cup and was charged for a venti. read more

Absolutely despite Starbucks at medical center. I ordered a coffee with cream and sugar, they gave me a coffee with cream but it was almost black which meant they probably only put a little of bit of 1/2 n1/2. So the next time I ordered extra cream, they wanted to charge me an extra dollar for the cream when all I wanted is not to drink a black coffee. I like coffee with cream. Ridiculous. read more

My friend and I were walking/hiking on Sunday, May 17. We ordered our coffee from my mobile app when we were about 300 yards away from this particular store. This is not my normal spot as I live on the northeast side of San Antonio. When we arrived on foot, we saw paper signs telling customers they only would open the door for MOP on Monday-Friday from 9 AM - 11 AM. So, any other time, you have to use the drive-thru for MOP. Well, we didn't have a car and had no way of knowing their specific routine at this particular store. A man answered the door finally, after there was a few minutes of discussion among the employees. He said, "I'll only do this one time." When he returned with our order, I apologized saying we didn't know and gave him a thank you. He did not respond. I know the COVID procedures thing is difficult, but my two Starbucks that I go to in Schertz are open for MOP at the front door and drive thru all day. I had no way of knowing the specific routines at Wurzbach and Medical. I don't appreciate the rude responses/non-response I received from who I assume was the manager. You can't have creative schedules and expect mobile order customers to know your procedures from paper signs posted on your doors. read more

i used to enjoy coming here. there is a guy who wears a hat and glasses. he was always friendly. ok sooo. the chairs are hard my back started extra hurting.its really cold if you use the bench (?) seating on the wall. i found seating better at the newer one on medical and Fredericksburg so i was not going to stay in this day so i was ordering from same nice guy. i told him i was using my reward. it would not let me do it on the app so i came in. i wanted the bagel bites. he didnt know what it was i showed him.. he rang me up. i had my app out,my gold card on top.. reward barcode on bottom.he scanned the gold card.. but the barcode wasnt face up so in my mind i saying why did he do that?i see i have a charge so i said i supposed to be free. he said oh i have to cancel. he calls some one over to help because i guess he doesnt know how to do it. she then tells me if your going to use your reward you tell us it rings up differently. i said well told him i was using my reward. also before he walked away i had asked him how did he manage to scan my card when the barcode is not showing?i never got a real answer maybe now he is just frustrated . thats when he left. him and the lady are communicating about my order through the headset now . i can hear them. i probably will not be going back to this one any more. and i give out little mini stylus to people that are nice to me. he was one of um. so now im done. read more
