Feels a little strange to review a Starbucks chain, but I've got to give major props to the Willow Glen team. Every time I've visited, the service has been exceptional- the staff are so friendly, patient, and welcoming. I've noticed the store is always clean and drinks consistently hit the mark. Might be TMI, but on more than one occasion, I've had to make emergency stops on my way to work, and this location has always kindly let me use their restroom without hassle (unlike many others that require a purchase). I've offered to buy something afterwards, but they've always graciously declined. That kindness doesn't go unnoticed and goes a long way- shoutout to the team here! read more

Very decent Starbucks. Std. ambiance. Very busy, as it's the closest thing to a public toilet in downtown. We very a little hungry and thirsty so got some stuff and sat for awhile. The manager here Joe is really stupid. Sorry Joe but you deserve a bad review for how terribly you handled what just happened. I ordered a flat white and when I picked up my drink, the entire burning hot drink spilled everywhere including on my hand and on my skin because the barista did not put the lid on properly!! Luckily it didn't burn my skin or this location would have had to fill out an incident report. I asked for a refund expecting that I would still get my coffee and the pastry I paid for, given that they almost just burned my skin. The manger gladly gave me store credit but then took away the coffee and banana bread. TERRRIBLE customer service and management skills. Joe did not apologize on behalf of his employee, rather just shifted blame to the fact that sometimes the "lids pop off." This manager is stupid and should be demoted. He handled this situation terribly. He should have refunded me but still given me the drink and banana bread and apologized on behalf of this stupid employee. Instead he made me feel bad about it, gave me store credit and didn't seem to care that they almost just burned my skin from their carelessness. Horrible customer service. First off, I ordered on my app, came to pick up my item, and it was under "mobile pickup" without a name. Sure, one can say it's the app's fault, but the manner in which things were handled were just uncalled for. The app didn't have a history of my order and so it was difficult to have them refund me for the one of the two holiday cup items that they didn't have. The lady making drinks, I believe her name was Shannon, gave me an "I don't give af" type look and proceeded to tell me that I couldn't return if I don't have a receipt. Wth was I supposed to return if I never received my product? Long story short, I'm still in dispute about this purchase with my bank about the product that I never received bc I was charged for it. Oh, and the drink I ordered that I asked light whip on? The holiday drink that should give you all the warmth of the season?? Ha, yeah right... I should've known that too would be subpar. Literally had 1/4 of the cup filled with some lukewarm, watered down excuse of a drink. Buyer beware. Unfortunately, the only way I can possibly get any help would be through the website. It's currently being reviewed via the "contact us" on the Starbucks website and complaint submitted. I suggest you take the time to also fill this out should anything remotely happen to you. We work way to darn hard for our money to be taken advantage of. And yes, I mean taken advantage of because when you charge someone a product that your store did not have, it's called stealing money from the customer. Willow Glenn/Lincoln Avenue has several coffee options including Starbucks, Pete's, and Philz. I don't understand why anyone would chose to come here when there are two better options on the same street. Philz beats Starbucks in every way - the quality of the coffee is better, the store has a better atmosphere, and the service is better (probably because Philz actually pays their employees a living wage). This location is always busy, which often means long wait times for burnt tasting coffee. Where you chose to spend your money says a lot about your priorities. My money won't be spent here because the quality of the coffee is poor and their values do not match mine. You'll see me walking right past this location to grab a far superior cup of coffee down the street at Philz. read more

This location gets very busy but it's in a very nice area and the staff members know how to prepare a drink very well. I feel like their prices are a little bit higher than the downtown location that I'm used to going to, but the quality is worth it. It has a decently large interior and has some seating that was pretty full but that wasn't too cramped. There wasn't any wait when I went up to order although I did notice that the baristas were pretty busy. I think people mostly order through mobile at this location. The baristas were friendly and got my drink order pretty quickly. I did use the bathroom on this occasion and there was no bathroom code. Note that there isn't a parking lot adjacent to it. You're going to have to find street parking along the main street or one of the public lots and walk over. read more

It's a hit and miss with this location. It seems like at least once a week they're not able to open on time. Usually, when there's customers at the door at ~6:30am-- one employee (she was not there today) will acknowledge them and let customers know they're opening at a later time and post a sign up. That was not the case this morning. Next time if you're not able to open on time, please post a sign to inform your customers. Also, train your employees to acknowledge the customers at the door if there is no sign posted. Don't just stare at them expecting them to go away... read more

It's cold due to it being Winter so the chairs aren't setup for outdoor seating when I came here at night. PARKING: situation isn't the best, but it is Willow Glen downtown type area so expect to look for street parking on a busy street. It's located on the very corner. There's a liquor type store with a parking lot behind it, but I'm not sure if they limit it to liquor store customers only. read more

YUM! I met my cousin here this morning for a "Catch up Coffee" and I must say this will be a favorite Starbucks from now on. There were several people sitting outside in the early morning breeze... sipping their custom coffees and petting their cute dogs. It felt very friendly walking up. As we entered the girl over behind the counter smiled and said "Hello, Ladies!" Well HELLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, I replied! I decided to go with my regular Grande Soy Mocha with Whip - yah, I know... a bit ironic to get whip with Soy... but the flavor I just LOVE! Emilee got their seasonal Pumpin Spice Latte - only a Steamer version... which makes me laugh every time she orders a steamer... It's just flavored steamded milk. haha Perfect for kids! We both had to get the Ham, Egg, and cheese sandwich! It was hot & fresh. YUMMY! See photo! I will remember this place when I need to do a meet up for a coffee for sure. It is a very busy Starbucks so if you have the Starbucks app on your phone order ahead as there often is a line. The bathrooms are spotless and no code is necessary for the unisex bathrooms.
