This is their Raspberry Chocolate Cake. Light flavors, not too sweet, I would recommend.
Kilikine S.

I'm thrilled to see that even under new ownership, this bakery kept the original baker and their classic recipes. I ordered a raspberry mousse cake for my mother's 70th birthday, and it was a hit--beautifully designed with light, perfectly balanced flavors. The layers of raspberry mousse, chocolate mousse, chocolate cake, and raspberry jelly were delicious. My mom and her guests couldn't have been happier. While I highly recommend their cakes, the customer service experience has room for growth. The gentleman I spoke with was friendly, but he struggled to answer specific questions about the ingredients and options. Additionally, the website definitely needs a revamp; it currently lacks the photos and descriptions necessary to make an informed choice online. Having been a loyal customer back when it was 'Flower Flower,' I was pleased to find the shop just as clean and organized as ever. It's a local gem that just needs a bit more polish on the digital and service side!

Dirty floor, chairs, tables all surfaces needed to be wiped.

First off, I never leave bad reviews ever this is my first but it was awful and this place should close. We came here today to get a bite in between dr appointments, but what a disgusting experience. Save your money and time , do not eat here! It was my 4th time into the place, usually I only have a coffee and maybe a pastry. Today I ordered their "breakfast special" - egg "frittata" green salad, toast and "jam" and 3 pieces of bacon. Plus 2 coffees and my partner order the breakfast sandwich; it was all gross. If I hadn't prepaid I would have left, as once I sat down I realized how gross the place looks now. About 5 minutes after ordering (no one else came in) she comes to say they are out of bacon and asked if I wanted more eggs or salad instead... I said eggs but there were not any extra on the plate when served. The counter person apparently was also the cook, though we saw another person there, and he did have a chef apron on (a lot cleaner than hers which I did not see at first). We expected the drinks but they never arrived. When she finally emerged from the kitchen, she had our food plates in hand and placed them on the counter for 10 minutes while she then started to prepare the coffees, a cap and a latte. By the time she brought us everything the food was lukewarm at best and the coffee too hot, )I asked for warm not too hot). The toasted bread was ok, but the "jam" was literally a danish filling goop, not made from any fruit and tasted between a jello and a kool aide type flavor, just gross. The dining area was all filthy and we were there with one other customer finishing a danish and coffee. She could have cleaned, but never left behind the counter beyond dropping off our food. This place is over priced, dirty, untrained staff and disgusting, I'm pretty sure the eggs were from a container not fresh and only two small grated pieces of carrot, not a frittata.... Anyone can make better eggs. Last time I was there 6 months ago, it was at least acceptable coffee but this was awful. Two coffees, a breakfast special and a breakfast sandwich with a 15% tip was $53.50, and again, had I not already paid, I would have left. Do not ever eat here. Dirty, rude, and gross. Sad really as at first glance it looks like a decent French pastry shop.

Almond croissant on left, and oatmeal raspberry bar
Kelly M.

Actual rating is 3.5 rounded up to a 4. We bought two items, an almond croissant and a oatmeal raspberry bar. The croissant bread itself tasted good, but I bought this for the almond paste. There was a small bit of it in comparison to the size of the croissant, AND it lacked flavor. My husband gave the oatmeal raspberry bar a 6 out of 10. The crumb topping was great, there was not enough raspberry jam, and the majority of the bar, the bottom crust had an almost chalky consistency. So, my hunt for a bakery with an excellent almond croissant or similar pastry continues!

I'm really hoping I just had a bad batch. I got the whole basque cheesecake for my friend's birthday... It looked and smelled sooooo good! But when I was cutting it, I noticed that it was more dense than usual (iykyk). :-( We (party of 6) ALL tried it and everyone had their own opinion... BUT what stuck out the most was the texture. We ALL can agree that it had a weird chalky taste. The flavor was good. +1 Customer service +1 Still so disappointed bc I thought I found the "basque cheesecake" that can wow my friends :-(

Came here for a simple lunch and to work on my computer. I enjoyed the unique shop with the pastries, dried flowers, and rustic look. I decided to sit outside since it was a lovely day, which I am grateful for the tables and chairs outside. Service was lovely and quick when it came to my food. I ordered a chicken sandwich and eclair during my visit, both were delicious Will definitely be back to try more on the menu.

Yes, for breakfast.

Flower Flour closed shortly before Paris Avenue opened. I came in because I was too early for my lash appt. and was so glad I did. I ordered a cup of coffee and a slice of their chocolate cake. It was decadent rich. The service was wonderful. A quaint French-style coffee shop making me feel like I was Emily in Paris. I could hardly contain myself, but I wanted to try their almond croissant next time.

A lovely spot for breakfast. I really enjoy morning coffee and the almond croissant there. The staff is very friendly, and the service is great!

Apple French Apple Frangipane Tart

The establishment is a small, stand-alone building, with a small parking lot. Yet, I was able to find a parking spot. (I visited on a Sunday morning about 9:30am.) I came in looking to purchase a cake for a friend's birthday. The owner, who had a very professional air about him, helped answer some questions and I ultimately purchased the Apple Tart, which was beautiful! It was wrapped promptly and I was out the door quickly. The staff was very courteous. All of my friends who saw and ate the tart were wowed. They all asked me repeatedly to share where I had purchased it, which I gladly did. I'll definitely be back to try some of their other offerings!

Guava cake
Theresa P.

OMG, the guava cake is one of the best cakes I've ever had!! Super light, not too sweet, the perfect amount of guava, not to mention gorgeous!! Ordering online was super easy. Staff was super friendly upon pickup. I was surprised to see it took over the old Flower Flour. Inside is super cute too! Would definitely recommend them and can't wait to go back & try their other baked goodies!

Mango Single Slice Cake/Tart To Go

I went in there picking up an order and got distracted by all the delicious looking treats in the glass case. To be honest this area can be a bit sketchy when it comes to service (POC know what I mean). Kevin, the guy at the register was super friendly and informative. He could recommend some different things depending on my preference. He suggested the mango cake and said I could mention him by name, if I didn't like it. Well I'm mentioning him anyways just because he was a really nice guy and deserves to be recognized for his service. His service directly lead to the sale and that goes to show your attitude and approach is everything. I'll definitely be back for more mango cake and if you have the change to try it, you should as well.

Black and white

A definite hidden gem in Willow Glen. I had a meeting here and when I walked inside, it was like a cafe in Paris. A beautiful display of cakes and pastries and chandeliers overhead. It was the perfect place for coffee. I tried the black and white which was beautifully presented. It was white vanilla, and chocolate mousse. I will definitely come back just for that. They also have sandwiches and salads and a pretty extensive menu.

French Market Salad with double protein, scoop of tuna was ok, but the chicken was skimpy....
Melissa K.

Still love this place... we've come for lunch 4x this week! Harry and Kelsie are great, super friendly staff who man the front counter and take care of everyone who comes in.

Rose L.

Think I found my new South Bay cake stop. Ordered the Opera AND IT WAS A HIT! My family is very cake particular and they all loved it to my relief! Decadent, not too sweet, gorgeous, dense, great texture. They were also able to write 'Happy birthday Mom' and it was gorgeous! Happy mom.. .happy life-- something like that! They got a customer for life right here!

The food is worth the wait. Don't sleep on the black pepper sausage danish: the croissant dough is crisp and flaky, and doesn't get soggy when baked around the sausage. It's comparable in execution to the Croissant Hot Dog served at Dominique Ansel Las Vegas (in Caesar's Palace), but at a way more accessible price point. Which isn't to say this place is cheap; like many artisanal bakeries in California, it comes with a premium price tag, but at least it's not Dominique Ansel pricy. Croissante's croissant dough baked goods (viennoiserie) is pun-intended "proof" that you get what you pay for. The dining space is limited and lively. Conversing is a little tough, but if you just need a place to sit while eating, it's just right. Extra special shout out this time to Dill who had informed me the fried chicken dishes today would be an hour and a half wait. After deciding there wasn't anything I wanted more than the Fried Chicken and Spiced Croffle (croissant dough baked in a waffle iron) and was happy to wait, they were nice enough to check in with the kitchen and see if it could be made sooner than that. I didn't expect to be accommodated, so I was happy they were able to do that. You get two chicken thighs and croffles per order. It's enough for two light eaters to share.

We walked into a space that is clearly geared toward takeout rather than sitting down, with a sleek, minimalist interior that matches the refined approach of the desserts themselves. Rather than offering a huge bakery case filled with dozens of options, the attention here is on carefully crafted cakes, particularly their signature mille crêpe cakes, and the setup makes it easy to pick up and go without feeling rushed. The mille crêpe cakes are the reason to visit. Each slice is made up of delicate layers that feel light and refined rather than dense or overly rich. What stood out most was the balance of sweetness. The cakes are sweet enough to feel indulgent but restrained enough that the individual flavors still come through clearly. We tried the Hokkaido Milk cake, which was especially memorable with a clean dairy flavor and smooth texture that highlighted the quality of the cream. The tiramisu version added a deeper coffee-forward profile, with the espresso notes coming through without overwhelming the delicate layers. The matcha crêpe cake delivered a genuine matcha flavor that was not buried under sugar, maintaining the earthy, slightly bitter notes that matcha lovers look for. Beyond the flavors themselves, the texture is what makes these cakes special. The layers are thin, consistent, and soft, creating a delicate bite that feels different from a traditional cake. There is a noticeable amount of care in the execution, and the desserts feel thoughtfully made rather than mass-produced. Even the presentation is elegant, with clean slices and polished packaging that makes them a great choice for birthdays, anniversaries, or other celebrations where presentation matters as much as taste. Service was straightforward and efficient, and the ordering process felt easy whether we were picking up individual slices or whole cakes. The staff handled the takeout flow smoothly, and the packaging kept the cakes secure during transit. The desserts are definitely on the premium side when it comes to pricing, but the craftsmanship and attention to detail help explain the cost, especially when you consider the labor involved in creating the thin, consistent layers. Anton feels like a place that specializes in celebrating special occasions. The mille crêpe cakes are the highlight, with delicate layers, balanced sweetness, and flavors that feel carefully developed. If you are looking for a dessert that feels a little more refined than a standard bakery cake, this is the kind of place that is worth seeking out, whether for a celebration or just a moment of indulgence.

We walked into a cozy, compact space with shelves filled with freshly baked breads, pastries, and prepared foods, all arranged in a way that makes you want to browse slowly even though the shop is small. The atmosphere has that simple, welcoming feel reminiscent of the small bakeries you find throughout Japan, focusing more on quality and variety than on a large café setup. Seating is limited, so it is better suited for grabbing something to go rather than spending a long time inside. The biggest draw here is the combination of Japanese baked goods and savory items. The bakery selection offers a great mix of sweet and savory options, with classics like melon pan standing out for its crisp sugary topping and soft interior that stays light without being dry. The curry bread and croquette bread are also popular choices, both feeling comforting and freshly made rather than overly sweet or greasy. The bakery items are reasonably priced, which makes it easy to pick up multiple things without feeling like you are spending too much, and the variety means there is always something new to try. The onigiri selection is what really makes Clover stand out compared to a typical bakery. They offer a variety of rice balls with fillings like spicy tuna, tuna mayo, and unagi, making it a great option for a quick breakfast or light meal. The rice is well balanced and the fillings give each onigiri a different personality. The spicy tuna has a nice kick that comes through without overpowering the rice, while the unagi adds a sweeter, more savory flavor that works especially well with the slightly salty rice. The onigiri are a practical, satisfying choice for anyone looking for something more substantial than a pastry. Beyond the baked goods and onigiri, Clover also has drinks, sandwiches, and desserts including cakes and other pastries. The strawberry cake is a nice lighter dessert option, and the overall menu gives plenty of reasons to visit whether you are looking for breakfast, a snack, or something to bring home. The offerings feel thoughtfully selected, with enough variety to cover different cravings without making the menu feel scattered. Service is friendly and efficient, and the small size of the shop adds to the charm. Since it has become a popular local spot, some items can sell out during busy hours, so arriving earlier gives you the best selection. Parking can also be a little challenging during peak times, but the quick grab-and-go style makes the visit easy to manage. Clover Bakery & Cafe is a great stop for anyone who enjoys Japanese bakeries. The combination of fresh breads, affordable prices, and unique savory options like onigiri makes it feel different from a standard bakery. It is the type of place where it is worth picking up a few items and trying a mix of everything, leaving you with the sense that you have found a little neighborhood gem that delivers on both quality and variety.
