Today I ordered a pumpkin spiced latte with my son who is a regular San Leandro high school student. Today we ordered a PUMPKIN SPICED LATTE ICED ADD CARAMEL AND PUMPKIN CREAM COLD FOAM. Today we drank our drinks thinking that would would expect a bitter coffee taste from the three shots we added. We tasted chai. A chai latte. I was furious the whole room was packed to the brin knowing that it was rush hour. We should not be rushing to make drinks. The customer is always right. Went to pick up a mobile order at this Starbucks, only to walk out and find my window smashed out and small backpack missing. I take the blame for leaving it on my floor on passenger side but I was in and out within 30 seconds this went down. I was told by an employee this has happened before. Great to know now. This was my go to for Starbucks but not anymore. It's not the employees fault, but it wouldn't hurt to have a sign saying " don't leave anything in car while picking up mobile order." This was at 6:22 am that this happened and not one car around when I got out of my car to pick my coffee up. Then I'm told to file a report online because the police didn't know when they would have a police officer come take a report. Like they are that busy at 6:22 am. read more

My daughter is a San Leandro High School student. My daughter had visited this location with a friend, they then proceed to go into the store and ask nicely if they could use the bathroom, an old senior worker who shouldn't even be working anymore there the audacity to tell my sweet daughter and her friend that there is a policy to buy something to use the bathroom, my daughter has gotten the money from her friend and she buys the item for her friend and the old senior citizen worker says the WRONG bathroom code and has the audacity to stomp and march with her big self and stops my daughter and her friend from just wanting to use the bathroom. I personally don't think it is that serious because it quite frankly is just a bathroom we all have human needs and can't control our selves. Please do better on hiring. read more

The staff is warm and welcoming even on crazy days when it's so busy . Out of 9 years I've been coming I've only had 3-4 bad experiences. The drinks can get messed up but they do honor my time there and offer to re make it for free . They're incredible gifted at their job . read more

This review is for date of service 5/10/2020 (Sunday) This particular Starbucks has been closed since the Covid stuff started and they FINALLY opened up for Mobile orders and walk up orders. I like how there are 2 separate lines for Mobile orders and walk up orders. It really helps expedite things and also keeps things organized in my opinion. I actually prefer things this way then the "old way" pre-covid LOL The other reviews "pre-covid" are pretty accurate, teen central ect... but because of the social distancing order in place and the fact that there is no school at the moment there is no teenagers hanging out and parking is rather easy to find. read more

Coffee was not well made at all. Shots were DOA and bitter like the barista that made it. The cashier was super nice and toasted my croissant perfectly which merited a whole star for that experience. Sadly with all 6 of the baristas on shift during this not so busy 11am visit, the store was filthy. Trash was everywhere: straw wrappers and such were all around the bar area, baristas not washing their hands between texting at the bar, handing drinks to customers while cupping the caps. I have to update this review. It's time. I need to let others know that this location has quickly become my favorite in San Leandro lately. This is during the 19 and the re-opening of the high school. That's saying a lot. I've been able to mobile order in the AM before dropping off my kid. By the time I pull up to the store, I walk right in and there is my order. Every. Single. Time. They are doing a wonderful job at keeping the location moving regardless of the short-staff and all the people that visit in the morning. Great job! read more

I always have a pleasant experience at this location. Even if the ball is dropped on their end, they're quick to rectify it. This store does get busy at times, so read the room. Remember, if you're running late or lack patience - it's not their fault. It's a coffee shop and sometimes they are slammed with orders, especially mobile orders. I'm typically anti-Starbucks, being a self proclaimed coffee snob and all. But the recent launch of the Impossible Breakfast Sandwich had me as spry as my high school self speed walking for a frappuccino on lunch break. I didn't order coffee of course, and opted instead for an iced oat milk matcha latte. I should have ordered a venti for how quickly I slurped it up. Smooth, creamy, slightly sweet, with that lovely umami of matcha powder; I enjoyed my drink, albeit a bit too enthusiastically. The helpful cashier had to check sandwich inventory at 11am, I guess they had been selling out. With luck there were a few left. Within minutes I had my warm bread present in tow. The anticipation continued to build as the meaty scents wafted around my car.... I wanted to drive home and enjoy it. While I it didn't taste or feel exactly like I'd expect from a standard breakfast sausage, it was damn close. The seasoning was much like the seasoning for meat based breakfast sausages (maple/brown sugar, a hint of cloves, pepper, and spice). I didn't like the bread, which I'd call a mini breakfast ciabatta. But thought the sandwich was good enough to eat again. Great attention to covid cleanliness at this particular establishment, with marked waiting areas, hand sanitizer, and maximum capacity signs to enforce proper social distancing. read more

Dreadful experience at this location. Would suggest that you stay far away. I waited quite a long time despite me counting 6 employees in the store. People who ordered after me somehow got their drink first. When I finally did get my drink, it was wrong. So they had to make me a new one. For some reason, today the staff wouldn't let me in to pick up my mobile order. I arrived around 5:03 and could see my drink sitting on the counter. I also chose indoor pickup as I've done for a few weeks. The baristas today made me get back into my car and go through the drive-through. Please save yourself some time and spend you money at other locations. I came here two days in a row, ordered a double espresso with vanilla foam in a tall cup. They put so much cream, the roof of my mouth was slick. Second day, I ordered 1/3 decaf shaken espresso, it tastes like cinnamon water with oat milk. Thieves!!! Health Hazard!! Causing harm to customers!! To save money to the store, employees here are willing to cause people to be sick. Ordered a number of drinks from here and some of our colleagues ended up having frequent diarhhea and other adverse negative side effects. It ruined our day! Turns out this place be taking people's money for what was ordered and turned around and used other more cost effective/cheaper ingredients instead thus not honoring what people actually ordered to save the store thus committed decieving transactional tactics thus committed theft of customers money and causing harm to people's health. Taking people's money and not delivering what was ordered = stealing customers' money! People should be cautionary when ordering from this place or any other Starbucks! We ordered our drinks to be made with almond milk and oat milk, but they still used cheaper regular diary milk as ingredient to make our drinks. Investigation required! Employees stealing from customers! Most of the people who work here are cool, but some have no shame in stealing from customers. Please be wary and be ready to take videos and pictures whenever you see employees holding up the cheap gallon of diary milk should you ordered drinks with oat milk or almond milk as some people are lactose intolerant. To save money, this place is willing to cause people to be sick. It sucks that people cannot order drinks from this place without ease of mind! Usually come in during my work hours to grab coffee for my coworkers and myself, and usually things are fine. I've not had a bad experience w/this Starbucks location until today. They are open during covid-19 now, with takeout and delivery, and you can also step in and order at the register. I normally take a walk across the street and will order in person. They do have an area for pick up, with a plastic shield between the barista and the customers. Drinks: -Really enjoyed my mango dragonfruit w/lemonade, first time ordering this drink. - The pumpkin spice latte (1 pump of pumpkin) was also really good, and it wasn't too sweet. Usually the drink comes with 2-3 pumps of pumpkin, but with just 1 pump it's not too sweet! Normally I have a pretty average experience, and I even had a great experience yesterday at the register with an employee with a "Rap" badge on his apron (or is it Kap? I couldn't really decipher the words) who went out of his way to help me get the stars on my app. For full disclosure I normally don't get Starbucks at all or drink coffee, so I just have the Starbucks app on my phone but have not used it much at all and am not super familiar with it's layout and how to collect stars. I asked the register after paying, if I could get the stars and instead of turning me away and saying that it was too late/I'd already paid/closed out the bill etc, he flagged down a lead to help him so he could void my bill and do it all over again so I could get the stars. He was SO kind, so patient and he even apologized saying it was his bad, rather than mine. Come today, Thursday, and I walk on over to Starbucks for my coworkers and I encountered the RUDEST bxtch of my life. Ana was at the register today and she literally acted like she hated her life and her job. She was so impatient, had customers repeating orders multiple times because she couldn't hear them, and her demeanor was so off putting and unfriendly. I asked about the stars again and asked if she could scan my stars but all she said was "you should've told me beforehand" "can't be done now"... but you can... it literally happened yesterday.. And for someone who doesn't frequent starbucks much, how am I supposed to know? HOW am I supposed to know to tell you?? When I was literally holding my phone in front of you the entire time with my Starbucks app open. And sure, the stars aren't that big of a deal, but the attitude that was attached to her statements was just ridiculous. I really wish I asked to speak with the manager LaBree, her customer facing employees should be better than that. For drinks, I made a huge order because I was ordering for my coworkers as well (~15 drinks). She was SO impatient when she was putting in the order, thank god I'd written the orders on a piece of paper so I wouldn't have to speak to her lol. Teen central. Teens working there teens every were you look. There is a high school next door. i would never come her at 3 pm during the week. too many kids! i know that makes me sound like i am saying "get off my lawn!" lol but it is really true about this location. even in the summer there are a ton of teens there. despite the crazy amount of youngsters this is still a great place to grab coffee or in my case chai tea. my drink was made well and made fast. just not a lot of places to sit. a ton of parking is always available. read more

Love how close this is to businesses and the neighborhoods, but the drinks are inconsistent, to be honest. Some days I have a reeeeally good skinny cinnamon dolce latte, others it's too much milk added. Maybe they were in a rush? I have ordered either cold brew or iced coffee through the app and then when I get there to pick up my mobile order, they tell me that they are out and offer another drink to take it's place, which is great customer service but would love if they updated their location's stock status on the app. Also, BEWARE of afternoons between 2:30-6/7 pm on weeknights when school is in session! So many high school kids getting Frappuccinos and hanging out around the plaza. Makes for a parking mess and extra long wait time for your order--mobile or in-person. read more
