I like to look for new spins on lattes to see what barista's are whipping up to make things unique. I came in thinking I was going to get a basic latte, but the Borgia Mocha caught my eye! I asked the cashier if it was a good choice and she recommended it. I was a little unsure how the two would blend and how much orange they would use in it, but it came out amazing! Honestly probably one of the top 10 unique mocha's I have tried and it was delicious! I loved the burst of refreshing orange that complimented the chocolate. The flavors danced on my tastebuds like two separate flavors that blended together as one. Each holding their own note that added value to the drink making it unique. I was instantly impressed and wish I found this on more menus! A classic mocha with a refreshing twist of orange was a pleasant surprise! I'm so glad I stopped in for a pick me up! I also loved all the art on the large walls and there looked to be plenty of tables and seating for people to eat and work at.

They had interesting drink options and some baked goods. Prices were average for the Bay Area. I love that the cafe supports community outreach. From the web, it partners with this church and community programs. It seems to operate around community support and social impact initiatives. It was heavy on mustard, and needed a little more mayo. This place is perfect for working people who want a quick coffee and/or sandwich.

Now, I have a personal rule about "open-air" pastry cases--if food is sitting out all day, it's an open invitation for gnats or flies to dance all over it! Usually, I prefer when they pull a fresh one from the back wrap counter. When I noticed the barista pull mine straight from the display, I asked her about it. She was sweet and assured me everything was fresh and they didn't have a gnat problem right now, so I decided to take a chance since she was warming it up. Sadly, the danish wasn't very delicious either, and I only ate a few bites. Even though the food and drink were a miss for me today, I still love coming into this Peet's. Strong flavor of chocolate throughout. The Hokkaido bun was filled with whipped cream which was unexpected. Underneath the cream is some sort of white bean paste The cream filling is like a really good hostess filling. It's self serve. A lot of similar places have you grab the pastries with tongs, but here they put them in plastic which is a relief in terms of germ spreading potential. Line went quickly. Tons of options. Tons of savories too and lots of drinks. They were constantly replacing and bringing out fresh pastries. They did so 3-4 times in the 10 mins we were there so you know when you go the pastries won't be stale or old.

This is the worst STARBUCKS that I have ever been too and I go to Starbucks 4 times on average a week. They make the worst drinks and it doesn't matter which employee makes them which means this Starbucks is teaching their employees to make the drinks wrong. During the week between 3and around 7, it gets hella ghetto. All the gangsters and trouble makers hang around and inside the STARBUCKS and the employees don't do anything. It gets real loud, they gamble out front, smoke, dress inappropriately, and talk real loud and these are kids around 16 years of age. This Starbucks needs a lot of work. I recommend not to go here specially during the week because it is not a relaxing place to enjoy coffee!!! read more

The black tall lady, name Labree at the Starbcuks across he street from san leandor high school, is sio rude and extremly racist towards african americans. My freinds and I were in there and we are teenagers of color and she kicked us out becuase we were "using profanity" when it wasn't us. It was tha causccion people sitting not to far away. She assumned it was the African American Kids, becuase shes RACIST. I would high recommend she gets fired becuase shes been a distubrance for over 6 months and its startubg to become umbariable. So I walked up to one of the girls and politely asked for an exchange since I couldn't finish my ice cream (mind you, I only had three bites before stopping, so the ice cream was barely eaten). She shook her head and said, "We can't do that. If you want another ice cream, you have to pay again." I'm sorry, but if the ice cream was inedible because it was unbearably sweet, I should be expected to pay full price for another ice cream? It just doesn't make any sense. I understand that the ice cream was about $6 per scoop, however, if a customer can barely eat the ice cream because of a quality issue, I don't think it's unreasonable to offer a replacement scoop. Also, the issue wasn't really the $6, it was the attitude and the lack of willingness to accommodate a simple customer service request. Instead, I ended up throwing the ice cream away, which was disappointing and honestly left a bad impression. They didn't apologize for the experience and weren't even nice about it. They were rolling their eyes, and when we asked for their names so we could talk to their supervisor about our experience, one of the girls responded, "Tell her that the brown and white girl were working on this day." They were clearly young, probably in high school, judging by their attitude, but that does not excuse their rudeness. Unfortunately, our expectations were not met at this location, nor were the quality or customer service.
