Hands down my fave Starbucks in east county. As a local, there are so many Starbucks in this area, but this location takes the cake. The staff is friendly and efficient they truly don't mess around with your order and always get it right. They make great suggestions if you're stuck on what you're in the mood for but if you're trying to get in and out even with it being such a busy location located across from the high school, they still get your order out fast! My coffee is consistently good and made properly unlike The other locations in the area. If you're gonna go to Starbucks in the Santee Lakeside area this is the one to go to. read more

Even with the craziness that comes with this location being near 2 schools, in the middle of a busy shopping center, and so many homes to people on their way to work... they keep up with the fast pace, are friendly without it seeming forced, remember their customers, and nearly always get the drinks correct. I spoke with Ally, shift leader, who was more than willing to make sure my drink was either refunded or made for me regardless. I normally do go to this Starbucks after my workouts and the service has always been super friendly and quick. There's tons of parking and chairs. read more

Friendly and very busy Starbucks all hours of the day. I've been here with my school group on a few separate occasions and they have customers coming in and out all day long. But the staff is efficient, so there's never a long annoying line. They made my Chai Latte, extra hot perfectly here. I loved that the baristas were really friendly to what I assume are regular customers. They knew their names and greeted them with smiles. They were also nice to rare visitors like myself as well. This a pretty nice and quite busy Starbucks. I say that because the girls who work here very nice during my visit, but the line was not messing around. Luckily the Baristas' were quite efficient in their trade. In addition to my typical Americano, I ordered a cheesy bagel toasted and served with a side of Kerrygold butter. This location is good and the baristas are great and for the most part fast. I recommend avoiding in the morning before 8am though unless you have time to wait because it is across from the Highschool and it gets packed with students before the school starts. Horrible, they asked my name to call for order, I said it is su*** and I spelled it for them. When they called for order, the woman said 'tall coffee with light cream and one sugar order'. Well, there is nothing wrong with the name it is very sweet name, you just got it as 'sue me' which is not what the name sounds like, but since you don't know the pronunciation and didn't bother to clarify, you thought it is 'sue me' you rather chose not to call by name and just shout coffee in that crowd. This action could be categorized as racism. It is sweet name and my friends and family love to call me by this name. I work at a LOT of Starbucks around town, but I have my "go-to's" and THIS is probably the top of that list. The mananger, Amy really runs a tight ship, keeps things moving and maintains a great funloving atmosphere in the store. I will say though that when she's not in the store or actually on the floor, it's not quite the same experience and could use some serious TLC, but the crew is still pretty decent and respectful. We regulars typically get treated well at any starbucks, so that's kind of a given... But kudos to Amy for really knowing how to keep things light and happy even when they're slammed. I'm really disappointed. My friend and I both had ordered the new ultra caramel frap in a venti. We asked for extra caramel, like it doesn't already come with enough. the the ultra caramel frap is already suppose to come with more than the usual caramel frap. but of course we asked for extra. anyways, once our orders came out it was a sad drink in a half. the drink wasn't even filled to the top and there was less caramel than normal AND WE ASKED FOR EXTRA! also the whipped cream so sad. there was barely any and the top or bottom of the drink. it also sucks bc we had to pay extra for the caramel and we didn't even get the standard amount that it should already come with. I've been here multiple times and on many separate occasions they fail to read the label. EXAMPLE: I order a hot chai and they made an Iced. I constantly see them giving out the wasted product and shrug their shoulders. If you just took the time to read the labels you wouldn't be losing out and re making drinks. The sweet girl around 5AM is why I would come and would never have any problems. I'm not sure about this afternoon crew. I spend about $5-10 a DAY at this Starbucks location and would hate to have to go out of my way to ensure that my mobile orders are actually correct BUT it's looking that way. UPDATE 4/27 I had to take back a star and leave them at 1 if I could rate 0 I would. I started going out of my way to the Trolly Square Starbucks despite the fact that this one is right next to my home. I tried to give them multiple chances and nothing ever seems to change. It shouldn't take 10+ minutes to serve an iced green tea. Nothing special. Nothing fancy. 3 girls behind the counter and 1 person was before me. Store was pretty dead. They had zero sense of urgency. They had time to talk amongst themselves and that never seems to be a problem for them. I'm to the point where I'm going to have to contact corporate because I've never been in a Starbucks establishment where I received constant horrible service. It's upsetting. I stop here before my workouts during the week. My beverage of choice: Green Ice Tea. I order from the app 99% of the time. My order is always ready when I arrive; on time. The baristas are very friendly. The station behind the counter is kept clean, at least from my view. I really enjoy sitting in the leather seats waiting on my class to start. I have been getting a pink drink blend (sometimes with coconut sometime with almond milk BLENDED since before it was the pink drink was on secret menu. Now with a banana blended in its low calorie with that banana boost. Your team member Jenna says hi Kim, as soon as I walk in, then do you want your usual. Love it, all of the local customers love the personalization. Whatever you are paying her, she deserves another raise. I do hope cooperate will read this review. On Wednesday September 4, 2019 at approximately 3:20 p.m. i went to this Starbucks and ordered 3 Venti drinks (2 frappuccinos and 1 green iced tea). The two gentleman behind the counter were working hard, running around to try to keep up with all the Santana high School kids coming in (line was nearly at the door) mostly ordering water. To that end, after ordering my drinks (probably waiting longer than average wait time to get them) the server missed giving me straws. The two young men were so busy just by chance a women was walking behind the counter (seemingly not renderering help to them). I asked her for straws. She said, "he'll get them for you" and just walked away. Her tone and attitude is what really got me! My mouth dropped as did the mouth of the customer next to me waiting for her drink. He colleagues were VERY busy and she was doing nothing. Such attitude! Such laziness. No TEAM WORK, no customer service. Honestly, I was so shocked for me to be treated with such dismissal as was her colleagues were treated. Starbucks, please speak to this employee. What recourse do customers have when treated badly? I love the menu here- so many choices. I had the cheese danish today with a Carmel frappe and it was very yummy. They have excellent coffee and iced tea. I would recommend this place for anyone that loves Starbucks. This particular location the customer service is always great. They are very friendly and the service is always fast. If you want to get treated like trash come to this location. Went in at 8:20 thinking that location closes at 9pm like all other Starbucks locations. Turns out they close at 8:30. However we're still in before closing, we do hate to be those people but it was a cold night and our group wanted a warm drink. The barista tries make us all order the same thing, but we all have different likings. We were a group of 6. One of our friends gets her drink and walks out while we wait for our drinks. That friend walked back in just to ask for a sugar packet and a guy (didn't get his name) continued to say in a condescending voice "you need to leave" repeatedly. Keep in mind, we were still waiting for our drinks. As a person who works for Costco, we treat each and every single person first and last to come into our store with respect.
