Such a HUGE Disappointment with this renovated site. So very tiny and uninviting. No longer a welcoming space and this is an all new crew that has no customer service experience. NO one welcomes you and they're slower than molasses. The staff is ALL new. Sad. My bacon Gouda sandwich today was cold and the bacon was undercooked. I was unable to eat it. Waste of my money. Plus, I had to wait 5 minutes more than their estimated mobile pickup time. This is what I sent to the manager...25 minutes to get a coffee. I was the ONLY customer. Hi Liz, I wanted to share a recent experience I had at one of your Starbucks locations because it was so far from what I've come to expect from the brand. I went into the store yesterday.. There was nobody else inside -- just me -- and three employees working. I was greeted with a "Welcome to Starbucks," and then I proceeded to sit and wait for about 15 minutes while the staff cleaned dishes, moved syrups around, and took multiple drive-thru orders. During that entire time, no one took my order or acknowledged that I was still waiting. Only after another customer walked in did someone finally come over to take my order. Even then, the process was surprisingly disorganized and slow. First, they brought me the cream, before I even had my coffee. For some reason, the cream is no longer set out for customers, so I had to ask for it on the side. Then, after more waiting, my coffee came out, and only after that did my pastry arrive. From the time I walked in to the time I had my full order in hand, about 25 minutes had passed -- just for a simple cup of coffee and a pastry, with no line in the store. What's frustrating is that I can walk into almost any other coffee shop and be in and out in a few minutes. At Starbucks, it now feels like in-person customers are an afterthought while mobile and drive-thru orders take precedence, even when there's a customer standing right at the counter. The staff barely looked at me after the initial greeting and seemed much more focused on everything but the person in front of them. I don't know if this is the result of a broader policy change, operational emphasis on mobile/drive-thru, or just poor management at this particular store, but it's not the Starbucks experience I remember. I would strongly encourage you to rethink the in-store customer priority and service standards so people who take the time to walk in aren't left feeling ignored. Delicious It's October and that means pumpkin flavored stuff. For my coffee I had their Pumpkin Spiced Frappuccino. Delicious. This cold drink was very easy to drink and the pumpkin was noticeable. I also got one of their Old Fashioned Glazed Donuts. It was also sweet and good. It is not quite the same as what you would find at DD or KK. It is likely also not made on the premises, I think all the bakery items for Starbucks are brought in, but still tasted fresh. Service was ok, with my order taker making sure they had any of the donuts left before I paid. It only took a couple of minutes for my coffee, made by someone who moved like a blur. read more

The drive thru line moves fairly quickly, but sometimes the line gets backed up on Bee Ridge and that causes me to not stop in sometimes. I do not like this place... parking is dangerous, coffee is not good, decaf is way worse, they use crazy amounts of sugar in the majority of their drinks and even their food items have added sugars. So many better options to choose from for coffee: first watch, perq, even Mc Donald's lattes taste way better than Starbucks'. read more

Okay, yes I am somewhat robotic about getting my Starbucks drinks. Something about the end of a difficult day sends me to Starbucks. It's one of the ways I destress. This is the location I go to most often. For the most part they are friendly and attentive. They always get my order correct. In the past, whenever the waiting time in the car line was even slightly longer than normal the staff was apologetic and gave you a free drink vouchers (without even a complaint being lodged). I respect any company or franchise that pays that kind of attention to customer service. It is not only refreshing, but inspires a sense of loyalty to this location in particular and Starbucks in general. Unfortunately, more recently the waiting times are getting a bit longer and the apologies have disappeared. I don't know if this location has a new manager or maybe word got passed down from corporate to stop giving away so many free drinks. I also notice a lot more employee turnover and more frequently get the sense that I am often dealing with a new-by. I know what you're thinking; these are really minor issues but for me they change the experience. I usually don't know the server and they don't know me. That makes this place like most places. For now, I will keep getting my Starbucks 3 or 4 times each week and probably from this location. Like I said, I am robotic about this for some reason. But I am not as happy a robot as I used to be. read more

Took me 25 minutes for a small cloud frappe in the drive thru. The parking lot is very tight and small as well. It's too small for such a packed place. Waste of money and time. Came in around 6:30 on a Tuesday and had a horrible experience. Cashier was nice but the four other employees it took to make our drinks were not the same. Came in with two friends, each of us getting a drink. All three drinks were made incorrect and tasted awful. One Iced latte was made hot, another was given to us with no flavouring or even milk. Just a cup of ice and coffee. Third drink was scorched and the extra espresso we paid for was not in it. Staff seemed to be trying to close up which we were understanding of at first but they do not close until nine. All three of the drinks were nearly undrinkable and overall this was the worst Starbucks any of us have ever visited. If I could give half a star I would. read more

Myself, my boyfriend and my best friend are here on vacation and wanted a coffee. This starbucks looked nice on the outside though parking was horrible. Each of out orders they messed up - my iced vanilla coffee had no milk or vanilla in it, my boyfriend ordered an extra espresso shot in his hot latte that tasted only like burnt milk with no coffee, and my best friend ordered an iced pistachio latte and got a hot one, also with burnt milk. Cashier was friendly and I know she rang it in right because you can see what buttons they hit on the registers. They ALWAYS get my drink right, and the service is friendly and usually speedy. Gets only 3 stars because it's Starbucks, and with one at nearly every major intersection in the country, you have to be truly remarkable to get better than 3. This location is nicely designed, but a little loud. The parking is awkward, and you can generally only go south or west when departing. So, if you're headed toward I-75, and it's rush hour, expect to wait a while to be able to get into the turn lane. read more

They tried to slop it together when I told her it was the wrong drink & added the flavored syrup after it was already made....? I tasted it & it was horrible. Absolutely THE BEST STARBUCKS IN SARASOTA! The staff is beyond amazing. The inside cafe is always clean and provides such a comfortable atmosphere. The outside porch has many tables with umbrellas for protection from any type of weather with nice chairs and tables. The drive thru is quick and easy for those on the run. You just gotta go here. This is a nice starbucks, especially since there is a drive thru. My only complaints is the lack of comfortable sectioned off seAting. There is a large table with about 8 chairs. This takes up way too much room and forces individuals to sit with strangers. Also when you go through the drive thru and pull out onto Bee Ridge there is a huge dip that if you don't hit it at the right speed it feels like you hit a gigantic pot hole. Oh and there should be ONE designated route for the drive thru. Last gripe: not enough parking! Forced to go through the drive thru because of lack of parking. People have been hostile towards me because they believe they should go ahead of me in line. I understand we all need our morning coffee but come on! Where is the common courtesy? I guess me being from the country I just expect people to be kind and courteous drivers, not so in Sarasota! Lol. As a daily visitor, sometimes twice a day, I must say the coffee is just as grand as any other Starbucks. The staff is nice and service is prompt. When I have went inside With my young child he behaved and the place was 'family friendly.' I gove 4 stars because the service is prompt and the product is excellent.
