Some of the staff in this establishment Is very unprofessional! The place is always dirty and they are not empathetic of people's time. At your busiest time, how do you not have change in your register for 5 dollars? Literally took her 5 minutes to ring a black coffee. I told her I'm going to have to leave because I'm not going to have time and she looked at me with all of her patients and said "okay" and continued doing what she was doing with the same patients. I have worked in fast food restaurants and retail stores before and personally to me it does not matter what you're doing. Do it right or just don't do it. Y'all need energetic people in the mornings that make your customers feel welcomed. It's Starbucks you can't really go wrong! What makes or breaks a Starbucks to me is the staff. My first encounter was with this gruff speaking guy who is a straight talking hustler! He knows his job and does it well. My second time there was a week later and it was a Sunday the store is only about 1200 square feet but it was packed. They took 20 minutes to make some lattes but I was patient because I have a lot of friends and family that have previously been managers at various Starbucks in NJ so I know the ins and outs! The third time I ordered my drink the passion ice tea and all went well. Two different woman than who I normally see and a lot less people but it's a good Starbucks. I don't really enjoy SBUX much. Call me weak, but whenever I see someone carrying a tray full of their drinks, I desire it. While shopping for baby stuffs at Babies R Us, an employee walked in with a tray of 4 different frozen drinks topped with 2 of my mortal enemies: whipped cream and caramel. My wife also had a coupon for a free Vivanno, so we made a stop. The Banana Chocolate wasn't too bad, and it was far better than the banana blended with air (Orange Mango Banana). I got a white mocha frap ($4 for a grande) and happily sipped away on our frozen beverages on a hot summer day. You've won this round SBUX! Location - Will they or won't they? SBUX and AT&T seem to be flip flopping--it is an election year after all--on allowing free Wi-Fi access for iPhones and iPod Touches. No free Wi-Fi here. The interior is rather small with only a few seats and there's also a few tables outside. read more

I ordered a pineapple kona pop and did not receive the correct drink. No big deal, I'm not 'that' guy that makes a scene when something goes wrong. People make mistakes. What annoyed me is when I went up to ask for the pineapple kona pop and explained how the previous barista made a mistake, I received peach tranquility AGAIN. No big deal, I'll just go up and tell the barista she made the same mistake. Nope. It's not her mistake. It's MY MISTAKE. I should've known they were out of stock. So I have been coming to this Starbucks for 4 years now. Every time I come in to order a drink, it takes 10 minutes. I get it, they get busy. They never have enough people. Usually two people are make the drinks and running the cash register at the same time. Staffing is an issue and they are very unprofessional. They are always yelling and gossiping about their issues while a long line is waiting to order. Two days ago I asked on of the employees a question and he seemed frustrated and annoyed. I obviously don't know everything about coffee, so I didn't want to order the wrong drink. Anywho, I ordered and I waited ten minutes. Then I realized that everyone else had already received their orders. I asked the employees about my drink and they looked at one another and told me that they forgot about my drink. Decided to come here and try something different for lunch with the office. Everything that I wanted off the menu was either not available or seasonal. I ended up getting a chicken and artichoke panini that was pretty good and found out they have a "skinny" menu. I was able to get the perfect size frappachino for 100 calories #winning. Some one there was complaining when I arrived. Blah worse $5.25 spent. And the barista did not wash the blender and blended the drink without the lid on. The mistakes continue, and I am no longer amused. (See my previous review.) I can't even give them the benefit of the doubt with my Starbucks specific speech impediment, as I ordered through the app. That's right, I ordered ahead through the app. Here's how it went- I ordered an iced tea and a London Fog latte. The iced tea had no simple syrup, even though the app mentioned that it would be sweet. The latte also included no syrup, even though a London Fog is Earl Grey tea, vanilla syrup, and steamed milk. Why on earth would I pay $2 extra just for steamed milk in my unsweetened tea? And yes, of course I had to wait for my drinks to be made. I'm sorry. I'll stop ranting now. No one here feels like working. You can see it in their body language and attitude, plain and simple. I ordered an oatmeal and got no response whatsoever, so I repeated it. She didn't even nod or acknowledge she'd heard me. Since I almost NEVER get anything from Starbucks, I again repeated and she finally went, "Anything else?" to which I said, "Uh yeah, a grande hot tea." "What kind?" she snapped. Well, I snapped right back, "What do you have?" I let her rattle all of them off until I just went with the green tea (I'd known I was getting that from the start). came here twice, the 1st time the lady was rude as if she was bothered by us buying coffee. If I wasn't getting coffee for my girl I would have walked out, I went to this starbucks today, there were 3 females behind the counter anda line of 6 people, 1 female making all the drinks and sandwiches. NO ONE acknowledged the line of 6 people waiting. I stood in line for 8 minutes this time I walked out and went to the nearby starbucks in target the starbucks in target is just one person and and you get faster service than this starbuck if you are ever in this area go to the starbucks in target. read more

The greatest thing about this Starbucks is that its a rare drive thru location where you don't need to park to get your latte. You probably won't find parking anyways because the spots are tight and few. For those lucky few who do find a parking spot, you're rewarded with a spacious interior and plenty of spaces to sit. Since it's technically still in College Park, you'll find lots of students parking their asses for hours at a time to crunch for midterms or finals. Not as busy as the campus location but you still may want to avoid this spot during crunch time. I've found the service here to be fairly good and fast enough. read more

This is one of the nicer Starbucks I've been in. It has a nice coffee bar in addition to all the tables and a couple of easy chairs. It's not very big but the baristas are friendly and competent. It's probably not the ideal Starbucks to spend a ton of time but if yo just want to stop in for a quick latte or a coffee to go, this is a nice place. read more

What's with all the reviews about crappy attitudes? Don't you know an employee's attitude usually mirrors your own? There is only one cashier who is not necessarily "exuberant", and I wouldn't be either first thing in the morning dealing with a bunch of people who haven't had their coffee yet. When I encounter employees like this, I attribute it to unseen factors (kid is sick? Babysitter cancelled? Midterm tomorrow? Relative died? Worried about how they are gonna pay rent? Etc.) and I am EXTRA nice to them. Try it, it's more proactive than bitching. With all the unique, specialized, personalized coffee drinks Starbucks offers, they're bound to mess up. Come on, give them a break. They are only human. It can be slow at times, esp when here are a bunch of customers ordering coffee drinks (duh). Expect to wait a whopping 5 minutes during peak times. Other than that, I get what I ordered and I get what I like here. There is plenty of parking. They are nice to me and the kid. And I leave with my caffeine fix intact. read more

I am so angry that I'm typing this as I sit in the Starbucks. This is the worst customer service experience I've had anywhere in a long time. There are three employees here tonight and they are all too busy yelling at each other and joking with each other to help any of us. I got no hello, no smile, and no one called out my order when it was ready. I don't know how long it sat there. It was a green tea latte and they put too much mix in or something because the whole bottom inch of the cup is just powder. Mostly, though, it's just really loud in here. I ordered a Venti Dark Roast and a Venti Mocha....Uber eats brought me a cup of cloudy water (i hope) and an super sweet cup of mocha or mostly syrup, which Uber eats quickly refunded. At least it arrived this time. There have been times I've waited hours for coffee that never showed up. Even though I work less than a mile away (3 minute drive from the Calverton Starbucks), I order from Hillandale instead now. read more

The coffee and food is the same as any Starbucks, but I think they have a particularly friendly team here. I have been spending several hours a day at this location trying to do 8 weeks of classes in less then 3, and I have only observed a team that goes out of their way to be friendly with every customer. Starbucks charges a premium price for its product which is fair if they provide premium service which is what I have observed the past week or so. read more

This starbucks always feels cramped even when you and the staff are the only one in there. There are few seats and the service can be rude. The outside seating takes up most of the sidewalk on the side, so you may have to climb over people sitting so you don't get killed by any of the cars that are trying to park here. They sharing a parking lot with a near by Chipotle... which only compounds the issues. read more
