I stopped by this Starbucks today to get my wife her iced chai latte and my sister her iced caramel macchiato since it's near my work. I found parking easily here when I came because I arrived in the morning and this location has a drive thru too. The lady who took my order was very nice especially when I couldn't pronounce macchiato and also the barista made the drinks quick. I asked for light ice on both drinks and she put light ice like I asked. They have outdoor and indoor seating at this location. The inside dining area is very spacious here. read more

Simi Valley, being such a long town spread out on both sides of the 118 freeway, covers a fair amount of territory. Over the past few years, the number of Starbucks has grown. They've done a good job of mostly taking over previously erected buildings and remodeling them to fit their needs. A few have also been built from scratch. This one used to be a Burger King, so a drive-thru was going to be a given. It may possibly have the best hang-out space vibe of any in the city. That's partially because of the large interior layout. It's also because the interior design creates a convivial feeling of sit-and-stay for a while. And, let's not forget the staff crew. They tend to also be more welcoming and hip (if we still use "hip" to mean laid back but also friendly. The baristas do their thing and do it well. We may use the drive-thru a bit more than sitting down, but either way, it's usually a pleasant experience to come to this location. Yesterday I had some errands to run in town and after discovering that Joann's has already shuttered their Simi store, I was feeling disappointed and in need of some cheer. Normally I have a good experience at Starbucks, but this visit left me disappointed because of how an issue with my order was handled. I ordered a strawberry açaí lemonade refresher, which is something I order regularly. When I got to the window, I noticed the label only said strawberry açaí, so I politely let the barista, Chloe, know there may have been a misunderstanding and that I had ordered the strawberry lemonade refresher. Instead of simply acknowledging the mix-up, Chloe responded, 'You said strawberry açaí.' While she did offer to remake the drink, the response came across as argumentative and dismissive rather than helpful. Mistakes happen, and I wasn't upset about the drink being made incorrectly -- I just wanted it corrected. A simple 'Sorry about that, let me fix it for you' would have made the interaction feel much more respectful and customer-friendly. Another new location for me in Simi Valley. Driven by this location so many times and even parked in the Target parking lot for my breaks but only stepped into this store recently. It's a nice large Starbucks with lots of tables both inside and outside. Since it was warm out today, I got an iced pumpkin chai and sat down for my lunch break. The bathroom is clean and the dining area is clean. The only thing odd to me was that all the outlets are up above the windows. So you see all these people having to step up onto barstool seats to access the plugs. That definitely doesn't seem safe. My drink was good and I was glad to be able to stay cool for a bit. read more

Went at about 11am today and got some attitude from the girl making the drink, the two girls were gossiping for a few minutes, then they finally saw me, I ordered and as I walked to pick up my drink, she mumbled under her breath, I responded and she just ignored me, no warmth and no smiles at all. She seemed just annoyed by me and my drink order. I'm so sick of bad customer service. I'm okay if you're slammed and slow on making the drink. But I'm not okay with attitude. I was also in yesterday and the 2 girls that usually serve me are always so sweet, kind and happy and represents Starbucks well. So for the two that worked yesterday, you are AMAZING! Walk in and go straight for the register and for the first 40 seconds Diego doesn't say hi, hello, how are you, what can I get for you until he notices I won't tell him what I want if he isn't going to start with the basics. Maybe he is use to pushing buttons when ppl just blurt out what they want but I'm old fashion I suppose. Simple greetings go a long way. This Starbucks layout has a lot of old table with lots of ware and tare. First time at this location and there is no reason I'll come back since I'm just passing by. My hot mocha has way too much whip cream which I didn't ask for Diego. The drink it's self taste great once I get past the cream. Walk into the restroom and it's decent; no trash. today i came in for a pick up at the same time a community bus pulled in with disabled persons . The all doned starbucks aprons and i noted someone starting to direct them. What a wonderful program to help socialize and employ disabled persons in our local community . This means a lot to me as i had to retire due to disabilities. Keep up this good philanthropic work. Been coming here for years and each time things get worse. The latest offense is they have adopted a policy of filling cups to only 2/3. I purchased a venti mocha (20oz) and they only filled the cup to 13oz. They did the same for the tall I ordered for my daughter. I went to Starbucks today and bought a cookie. I needed three $10 gift cards for the teachers. I paid for the cookie using my app. For the gift cards, I had a $100 bill, and the cashier, Cici, told me she didn't have change. I asked, "Are you sure? Is it that you don't accept large bills, or you just don't have change?" She said, "I don't have change." I asked, "How is it possible that at 3 p.m. you don't have $70 in change?" -- and she didn't answer. I also had to wait the longest for my cookie. People who ordered after me had their items warmed up and handed over faster than mine. I'm very upset and extremely dissatisfied with today's visit. One star. read more

Really enjoy this Starbucks as it has a drive thru and ample seating both inside and outside. I've never had an issue with the food or drinks here, they always make them perfectly for me! Went for coffee with two friends. The one that got there earlier waited 26 minutes for her drink! Meanwhile we watched 20 cars drive thru. Also, as usual they were out of the feta spinach wrap. The other two drinks took about ten minutes which was great. I understand that the drive thru takes preference but you need to get better about your indoor wait time. read more

Ugh. This Starbucks just ruined my low opinion of all the Starbucks I have ever visited. Not only is the drive-through line well managed, but the property is huge so the line has ample space to snake around the building without blocking parking or driving. Incredible layout. I did my usual, ordering a nitro inside. There were quite a few people but the line moved fast. Actually, I went to use the restroom after I paid (yes, open out here!) and my drink was already on the bar. Kinda disappointed with this location. This is the second time I have gone here for a Mango Dragon Fruit Refresher and once again no Dragon Fruit. It's not until I ask as I get my drink that I am told that they are out. The girl was nice enough to ask if strawberries would be fine, which it was but at this point, I am going to have deive further to get this drink since the pattern always seems to be that they are out. The guy that took my order was very nice but it took over 5 minutes to make a simple iced tea. This location was not busy but the other workers had no sense of urgency to make my order. When visiting simi valley, this one is the closest to the pad. Alright, alright amid covid19, my very 1st time at the drive thru of course..wearing my "Dodgers" mask...this kid lol at the window ...spoke and asked me if I wanted a mask.."giants" I was like.."oh hell no!" I'm like ok, cool found my rivalry, told him, it's ok you can have it haha! At 1st I was totally pissed, but then realized..he made my day! It's always good to carry on that love n hate for teams, despite this unprecedented times right? So hey..I felt so alive lol. We went back up to cancel the order and the woman behind the counter that took our order, had no idea who we were. They completely forgot to put our order in. This is a pretty nice Starbucks; one of the newer locations in Simi Valley. This used to be a Burger King and they did a nice job of expanding it and making it not look like a fast food place. The inside is large and spacious. There are plenty of tables to sit at as well as comfy chairs. There is a small patio for outside seating. I mostly use this Starbucks for the drive-thru. It moves quickly and they are pretty efficient. I did have them make my drink wrong one time, but I went inside (which kind of defeated the purpose of using drive-thru) and they fixed it right away. The one time I sat inside visiting with a friend was a Sunday and it was very busy. There was a lot of trash and empty cups laying around and it would have been nice if someone cleaned up a little. There is plenty of parking in the surrounding lots. Overall, this is a great Starbucks location. Friendly and helpful employees. Efficient drive-thru. read more

I didn't know at the time of my visit I was charged for something I didn't receive or I would have spoken up then. I was a walk-in customer and the total read $3.55 but apparently the barista added a Large Water Cup onto my order without informing me it was $1 and had me believe I was paying $3.55 for my drink and the irony of it was I was never given a large water!! mistakes happen but the continued lack of communication and lack of follow through of Company Standards at this location is why I am choosing to never go here again. read more
