I just left this location. I realize they were busy, hence why placed a mobile order. First I stood exactly where the sign said to give your name for a mobile order. Took at least 5 minutes to be acknowledged. Waited and waited watching a customer who arrived AFTER me get their order. Here's the most upsetting part: when I informed a barista that my name still had not been called, she's finds my drink already made sitting with the drive through orders. She hands it to me and says not a word. No "I apologize" nothing! She sees my annoyance and just looks at me. No acknowledgment of the error or my inconvenience. Might I add there's another barista who often wort the drive-thru who is so abrupt I can barely complete my order before he's moving me along. Overall, they're rude a treat customers like an annoyance. They need to do better. read more

as a fellow starbucks barista, i KNOW that there's a certain quality of service that i should be able to expect at any corporate starbucks location...but my experience at this store today was not great. the decor was nice, everything was reasonably clean, and i did LOVE that basically every seat in the cafe had access to an outlet for electronics. the staff, however, left me highly unimpressed. while waiting in line to order, i witnessed not one, but TWO verbal disagreements between staff that escalated to an inappropriate, unprofessional level. additionally, one of the baristas was loudly complaining about her shift the entire time that she was making drinks at the bar. i would have been embarrassed to be working on this floor. before i left, i ordered a second drink, a tall pumpkin nitro...this one drink took OVER TWENTY MINUTES to be made, no exaggeration. apparently, they ran out of cold brew kegs, and needed to make a new one - i literally watched them stir the chilled water, fill the keg, connect it to the tap, etc. not ONE partner ever approached me to apologize or explain my wait. when my drink was finally served to me, it was a regular cold brew with ice, not a nitro brew, and i had to wait again to have it remade. all said and done, it took nearly twenty-five minutes for me to receive (essentially) a small handcrafted iced coffee. not a good experience...will likely choose to visit another location in the future ‍ read more

Super slow any time of day, inside or drive thru. Poor communication -- they'll have orders sitting on the counter with no one announcing them. The complete lack of efficiency makes this the absolute worst Starbucks to have near your job! Too bad the other one closed, the people were much faster and friendlier. The store inside lacks any sort of charm or coziness so it's not a good spot to chill. The condiment station is often dirty and unstocked. It just... sucks. read more

Arrived and saw a long line in the drive thru, so I opted to go inside. Huge mistake. I waited inside for twenty minutes for a small latte. Upon leaving I discovered I was given a tepid coffee, which was nothing close to what I ordered. The barista did apologize for the long wait. However, I think this problem could be rectified by having at least one more person working, or the manager working at the time helping customers, rather than chatting. read more

I am torn between awarding this Starbucks two or three stars, and it really splits down the middle for me. The Good: -- Competent service with none of the usual hassle encountered at the stereotypical Starbucks. You won't get hipster hairy eyeballs or irreverent commentary when all you want is your coffee to go. -- Tasty drinks. They come out nicely per the recipes, no surprises for good or bad. -- Crowd management during non-peak hours keeps things flowing. The Meh: -- Awful location. 12 Mile and Telegraph is a nightmarish hole to navigate, and the endless Michigan lefts, turns, and meandering needed to get into the store makes it far from convenient. Starbucks can't exactly blame the intersection but it's not easy to get into. -- Parking lot. You will be forced to do a three car shuffle to find a spot, presuming you don't get the entitled whinger parking his Cadillac SUV crooked across two spots or the soccer mommy who hogs the prime spot for 25 minutes while she chats on her cell phone. The narrow alleyway serving as a parking lot is hazardous to navigate, constantly clogged, and impossibly narrow. Fender benders and scratches come with the territory. Plus, there are pot holes and clearances that a micromachine wouldn't fit through. -- Neighbours. The Bagel Factory, the Gas Station, the Star Deli are all within sneezing distance. They are all very popular. This means getting in and out in a flash are horribly difficult no matter how fast the service. The Bad: -- Where is the drive-thru? -- Morning rush-hour or lunch-time crush are bad, bad times to visit. read more

"A tale of two Starbucks." They closed the one on Inkster and Northwestern-a bit closer to where I live. With THIS one, if you come in during the week-you get Good service. Saturday AM?? Not so much. The pastry took forever (I admit I didn't tell them not to microwave it-so they did.) When I talked to the Barrista about it, she merely said "they do the pastry-I do the coffee." In addition-the little trash receptacles at the condiment station were overflowing with nastiness and the no-accounts didn't bother to empty them. They are not well-motivated. The nice part of this location is it's one of the roomy "Super Starbucks." The ones they closed were the small cramped types. read more

This is a good Starbucks, if only for its quick service (okay, it's been awhile) and of course, proximity to the Bagel Factory next door. If you need gas, too, it's like a one-stop morning shop! Awesome. read more

I am very disappointed and dissatisfied with this location. When it was first built they managed it very well and it was always clean inside and outside on the patio area. Shortly after that things start to go down and I noticed that it was losing all its curbside appeal. Now it just looks like a lonely desolate wore out building that says Starbucks on it. It's really sad because it started off so well and even now they leave handwritten notes on the speaker in the Drive-Thru the sign in front saying help wanted is halfway up and halfway down and I even noticed right before they closed they stopped planting flowers and the tables and chairs outside were always filthy. I drove through just to see if they were open about a week ago and as soon as I pulled to the speaker a woman literally shouted out"WE CLOSE AT 3". I WAS SERIOUSLY SHOCKED. The fact that she yelled out of the drive-thru window was ridiculous. I pulled up slowly nicely said to her that I did not know they closed at 3:00. She had a bad attitude so I left. read more

This Starbucks store is my worst experience I have ever tried. I love Starbucks and I always use the phone orders and I usually order my drink before I came to the store 5 to 10 minutes and when I arrive, my drink is ready. However in this store I have used it for 4 time and when I arrive the I have to asks them for my drink and they always tell my it is not ready. which mean I have to wait 5 minutes. The reason that make me love Starbucks excite there coffee of course the, the respect and the understanding which this store doesn't have !! read more

This is one of the worst Starbuck's in the area. Service is poor, they are slow and can't seem to get special orders correct. Usually the trash receti8cals are overflowing and there is some trash on the floor and in the restrooms. Some of the baristas have long hair that is not tied back or under their caps and it hangs done along their faces and over the drinks they are preparing. This is one Starbuck's that we try to avoid as much as possible. Parking about this location can be difficult as it is in a strip mall with several other busy restaurants. read more

Starbucks is a very good place to go and have the whole experience of being at a café either with someone or alone. And this particular location is both convenient because it's near 12 Mile & Telegraph, but also a very big hassle because of the extremely tight and limited amount of parking space. What An Oxymoron? Now, every time I have come here I don't recall having a bad experience with the baristas. However, the restrooms could always be a tiny bit more clean. My number one gripe is the lack of space (this is supposed to be the place where you go to sit and enjoy the product and the atmosphere/environment). No matter if you're with friends or alone, they should be able to accommodate both without problems. read more

For being a small place the service is excellent and speedy. The only complaint i have is that they never fill cups to the top, if I'm paying for 4.56 for a cup of coffee i don't want more foam than coffee. read more

A decent, cozy (small) Starbucks in a Southfield strip mall. The cafe was nice, but could use better upkeep. There were used sugar packets, stir sticks, etc. scattered about the floor and also several stacks of boxes piled up in the back of the store. The staff were nice & the coffee was good. The Internet was fast, when it worked, but it kept dropping & freezing up on both of my devices. read more

This Starbucks is smaller then normal and extremely busy. I buy a drink and no where to sit. I observed 1 person sitting without a drink on his computer, pretty sure he wasnt waiting on anyone, he shouldnt be allowed to sit at a table with no drink. I wish Starbucks would get rid of electronic outlets so people wouldnt stay and hog a table. read more

This used to be a great Starbucks. But they recently had some staff changes and everything has slowed way down. Today I walked in to a huge line, and I've now already waited 15 minutes - for cold brew! This is the third straight time I've waited more than 15 minutes for my order. I've been to this location and others many times and have always had a nice experience...until yesterday. My usual drink order asks for 5 pumps instead of the standard 6. It wasn't until I got home that I tasted the drink and it was way too sweet. So much so that I had to brew coffee at home and add milk and coffee to the drink to dilute the sweetness. I didn't want to go back to the store because I had just come home with my infant daughter and didn't want to bundle her up again. I called the store instead and politely told the person that answered that my usual drink was too sweet. Instead of just apologizing and offering to make it right, she tells me that she was the one who made it and she knows she made it with 5 pumps. Well, that might be true, but my drink didn't taste like it tastes the other 99/100 times I order it. Fast forward to this morning: I order the exact same drink with the exact same instructions. As I'm driving away, I taste the drink and it definitely does not have enough syrup. So I reluctantly turn back around so they can fix it. They are ridiculously overpriced drinks after all. I should be happy with it every time. I got to the window and the same woman was standing there waiting. She says "So I made your drink yesterday with 5 pumps and it's too sweet. Today I make your drink with 5 pumps and it's not sweet enough. We're trying to understand what's going on." I was beyond shocked that she again was challenging me rather than accepting that a mistake was made. When I asked for more syrup she again makes the condescending remark, "so we're back up to 6 pumps then." She comes back with the drink and I try it...it still is hardly sweet. I ask her to add more and she says "just so we're clear, you're now adding more syrup than the drink even calls for." I asked if she was the manager. She said she was. I told her I won't be returning to that location and she said in her rude tone "I'm sorry to hear that." I said that I didn't appreciate her condescending tone and smile and she said "you don't like my smile now?" I said "I don't like your fake smile." My husband tried the drink when I got home and he even agreed it was not as sweet as my usual. Which means there was no way she put the right amount in in the first place. The only two times I have been unhappy with my drink was when she made them for me. I can handle the drink not being to my liking, but I cannot handle being made out to be a difficult person and being made to feel badly when all I did was ask politely for it to be made right. Jennifer, as the manager, you could have made everything right by putting a (genuine) smile on your face and remaking the drink. You should be ashamed of yourself for the way you treated a customer. I know I couldn't be the only one she has treated like this, because I'm actually one of the nice ones. Get rid of Jennifer and I'll go back to enjoying this location. read more

Why is it that every time I come into this starbucks there's always a line outside the door with 20 people? Mutants wait in line while the efficiency in that small little coffee station take forever. I have walked out 3 times already cause it takes way to long. There is another starbucks in the area and they don't have a line of 20 people outside the door. Obviously this starbucks attracts the wrong crowd of people the hold up everybody from getting their drink. Bad enough that parking lot its located in is always packed for no reason. Yes its no surprise that the employees realize that there is a long line but management should focus on solving the problem (better training, coffee only lines, hire new staff). Waiting for 10 minutes or more to get a drink is very stupid! There's other coffee places in the area that have somewhat more mindful of getting a coffee/drink into your hands as soon as possible. Again waiting in line for 20 minutes to get a drink is very, very stupid! read more
