This is the worst Starbucks I've ever been to! Do not go here. Waited 20 minutes for a drink when I was the first person in line. This location is probably my all time favorite. The staff is always kind, helpful, and human. I order a drink that is not only way too complicated, but usually is never executed consistently at most locations. However the Gateway location has ALWAYS made my drink perfectly. They also have remembered me each and every visit and have gone as far as memorizing my drink order. I truly look forward to and prioritize visiting this Starbucks every morning on my route to work because it is always such a pleasurable and satisfying experience. read more

I use the app to order ahead so I don't have to wait in a long line. Generally, the drink is ready right away and the staff is friendly. This week, however, the door was locked and we were directed to the drive-through. There were at least 10 cars in line, so I left without picking up my drink. There's no way on the app to cancel an order, so I'm out of luck. I wish a notice would have come up when I placed the order that I would have to go through the drive through lane. read more

I went through the drive-thru a couple days ago. This isn't a typical Starbucks location I visit. But if was close, on my way to a meeting at work. I grabbed two grande white chocolate and raspberry mochas, one for me and one for my manager. The total was almost $10, which seemed a tad high for what I was getting. But they were delicious. My manager is a Dutch Bros fan, and even she loved that drink. When she asked me what it was, I told her it was happiness in a cup. Service was quick. I have no idea what the barista's name was, but she was quite pleasant. No real conversation, she got to the point, and got the job done. Which is just fine with me. I actually despise the overly cheerful type that work at Dutch Bros that make me want to throw up with their disgusting level of fake cheer. I've been a decades long Starbucks customer, I found myself Dutch Brose more often these days. But my son has been asking for a pumpkin spice latte so I gave it another try. Well I won't have to worry about my son wanting to go to Starbucks anymore because it pumpkin spice latte or whatever it was sucked. when they handed it to me it immediately felt really light like a whole bunch of foam and not much drink. but even that proved not to be very good either. you did it to yourself Starbucks I understand nobody wants to work anymore you're left with what you get and they want to unionize sorry be a while but I'll try again Sometime in the future. read more

Soooooo from the looks of the rest of the reviews I am the odd lady out giving them so many stars, but they totally earned it! I came in and literally all of the baristas said hi to me, it was a little overwhelming, but nice! It was not busy at all and one of the girls came to the register right away. I placed my coffee and pastry order and the girl addressed me by my name. She was super friendly. My drinks was ready within a couple of minutes AND it was made properly. My Chocolate croissant was hot and ready to go as soon as my coffee was. Now that I think about it, while this is my first review of this place, I come here every time that I am in town and I have never had a problem. read more

Came in excited to experience the worst Starbucks in the PNW. We were highly disappointed. The place was spacious, with that pleasant post-lysol gleam rising from empty tabletops. It smelled vaguely of croissants. We were greeted by two chattering baristas who complimented our outfits (the fifth star is a reward for the ensuing ego-boost). This is an average Starbucks in an average, non-descript stripmall right on Gateway off the highway. I've been to better and I've been to worse; hence the average rating. Reading the other reviews of this site, my experience was totally not as dismal as the others. It just wasn't stellar, either.... When my daughter and I visited this small coffee shop, it was late afternoon and there was nobody inside. I think there was one car in the drive-through, as I heard the rear employee taking an order through or talking to someone through the drive-up window. Nobody greeted us when we entered and the shop interior was bland and somewhat colorless. Mark was at the counter and, initially, there was nobody behind us, as we were alone in the place. He was pleasant, and we placed our orders. Mine was perhaps a bit complex, as I wrote out on a vente cup what I wanted (ice, ice coffee, sugar-free vanilla syrup and non-fat milk, in the proportions I wanted). Apparently, as I was explaining this to Mark, a huge line of folks were lining up behind us. I told Mark to take the other people first but he said no. I didn't think my order was as complicated as it turned out to be, but it took a long time for Mark to get it, and then he had problems processing my gold Starbucks card (my kid didn't even give him her partner number, as it was clear this additional step would just prolong our time there, and we had already been there at the cash longer than needed, and the folks in the long line behind us were getting antsy. It became uncomfortable. It was clear Mark needed more help behind the counter to deal with all the customers in this store. Our drinks came out good, the way we wanted them. Waited in drive thru for 10 min for two cars to order their coffee. Seth ordered a refill on regular coffee. "We don't do refills on coffee in drive thru anymore. I can give you $0.10 cents off your cup though." Dammit! There's no way to back up with cars behind me. There's no way to go around the two cars in front because of a curb. So, we sat & waited just to drive through a drive thru. We finally got through to park & Seth walked in to order his refill that he wanted. He mentioned what happened at the window to the counter barista. She said all the Starbucks are that way now but he should've let Seth order just this once so we weren't waiting in line for nothing. While Seth was still at the counter, the barista walked back to the barista at the window, & loud enough for Seth to hear, told him to let customers order a refill if they're not aware of the new change. He didn't look or sound very bright. He seems like the kind of person that needs direction from someone on anything & everything all the time otherwise he'd just stand there. Location and drive-thru option are why people continue to go to this store or else I'm just always unlucky. The service is always awkward at very least. My favorite time was when I asked to pay for someone else's order and got questioned about "why" I was doing it by the cashier. The answer is because I watch Oprah and I want to. That wasn't enough though, I got this oddly dirty look and asked multiple times if I was sure. I will go out of my way to avoid this location at this point. This is Oregon, we love drive-thrus, more Starbucks are popping up with them, maybe that's why they're so bitter all the time. When I asked a barista today how much caffeine is in the very berry refresher she told me none it's just juice and water which I know for a fact is wrong and when I mentioned the green coffee extract in it she said I was wrong. I love Starbucks, but honestly this location consistently lets me down. I use the mobile order when I am about 15 minutes away and typically still have to wait. When I do go through the drive thru, there is always a line wrapped around the store and I wait even longer. Sometimes I get a fantastic coffee... But let me tell you it is rare. The convenience to my work is what keeps me coming back, but I wished the baristas took more pride in their work. The quality is not up to par. Espresso shots often taste dead or not calibrated correctly and when I order a flavor in my coffee, I either barely taste it or it is completely overwhelming. I would still rather go here than Dutch Bros., but it is not a 5 star stop whatsoever! read more
