I literally redownloaded yelp just to leave a review on this Starbucks after not using the app for years. Every single time I go to this location specifically there is ALWAYS a problem, I always order 2 or more coffees here and they always get one or all drinks wrong, ALWAYS. And on the rare occasions they do get the drinks right it tastes horrible. I keep going even after they mess up my drinks because I just want to give them the benefit of the doubt. Maybe they were having a bad day... maybe they just forgot my add ons, maybe they didn't hear me say the correct size... it's always something, not only that but they are a**holes too. This time I told them my drink was wrong and they remade it, guess what? The drink they remade was also wrong... I couldn't f*cking believe. Starbucks stars service is horrible & has occasional glitches. I debated whether to take the time to call in. The Starbucks customer service gal argued with me. I was to have completed 2 stars offers yesterday--decided to upgrade order to a pumpkin spice latte to complete both. I have screenshots on my phone (both 30 minutes after & also 28 hrs later) today) Plus load & later payment receipts...clearly showing order...payment...and no additional stars. In fact, one said " time ran out to make progress" today. I hit Starbucks almost everyday but there are other good shops in the area. Going to shift some of my busn. Want to alert others. read more

Nice Starbucks location near the college to get my Latai or Expresso on lol. We stopped here to grab a drink and a little bite to eat. I ordered a regular coffee and a Lime Green Iced Tea. I usually dont drink alot of the sweet coffees too much anymore. But i enjoy them occassionally. Great working staff here. Place has a chilled young vibe to it. Id love to be back. read more

I expect this to be the last of my updates for this Starbucks. We're cool now, this place and I. You will find in my previous remarks some complaints about the water quality. This was definitely arguable at the time I was ordering Christmas Blondes, but since then, I have found their pours to have improved considerably. My girlfriend orders the iced mochas from here, and they are also quite good. We have been coming here more often as of late, for our other Starbuckses have closed due to the present state of global affairs. Thankfully, the restrictions do not apply to Starbucks drive-thrus, and so this drive-thru (and its pleasant service) are very much alive and well. We will continue to make our appearances. Where to start... the location is horrible, they always mess my order up, they are extremely slow and there are SO MANY BEE HIVES AT BOTH WINDOWS. The employees just sit there and act like there literally aren't 10 bees at the window and the counter lady can't hear so I'm standing ten feet away shouting my order till I just decide to give up because I look like an idiot yelling my order. I have lived next to this Starbucks for three years now and this has been my primary drive-thru Starbucks. Recently, one of the male drive through attendant is so pushy and not nice at all. I tend to like a straw and when I ask for one I revived attitude. Today, I asked for more milk in my iced coffee because it didn't look like there was nearly how much they normally put in at EVERY OTHER Starbucks I go to. I got a lot of attitude for asking to make my drink the correct way when that's what Starbucks stands by is always making their customers happy. I was trying to pay for my drink and the drive thru worker was struggling a little bit im assuming cuz I was a little bit tired and just lazily pointing my phone in her direction. In the snobbiest and rudest tone ever she goes "can you like actually point your phone at me?" and obviously my expression was very taken aback by her sudden and abrupt rudeness to me over a small mistake on my part and this worker continued to roll her eyes at me before handing me the items and walking away without saying a word. I didn't even want to say thank you at that point, I usually don't even write reviews but I have never been so appalled by the sheer lack of customer service from an employee over the smallest reason ever. Absolutely no idea how I became the duchess of this location after only two visits!! It seems improbable since the drive-thru line always appears cray-cray busy when I pass by on my way to work. The employees I've encountered here are friendly. Not much shade from them (nice) or actual shade from cover to sit underneath (not so nice). The outside area can get very sunny and there are few places to sit. Also, there are no bathrooms available to use at this location. So overall not a great spot to stop at to have a meeting or to work on projects, but a nice convenient (though often busy) drive-thru location near downtown Tempe. read more

She had a really genuine & cool personality, it surprised me because Starbucks usually makes their employees put on that fake robot-like customer service personality like all other food service places, but she seemed like a real and kind person. Go here every day, and sadly enough probably two times per day sometimes. They don't have any creamer outside since it's set up like a Dutch Bros With only a patio area. I don't even want to say how much I spend at this location per month. They treat me like i'm a random person every time I ask for some milk in a espresso. Nice location with a good outdoor seating area to enjoy your drinks. It's on the corner of a busy intersection so it is a little loud but not too bad. The service here gets worse and worse. I literally drive to other Starbucks although this one is around the corner from me because they are so rude. Went with my little brother and ordered madeleines and a drink through the app. When we got there they gave me chocolate Madeleines, I said no I'm sorry they have to be plain he can't eat the chocolate, the young guy got so mad and told me just pull the chocolate off while trying to put them back in my car. The only reason I go to this location is because it's the closest/fastest drive thru by my house. But the staff is rude. In the past 5 yrs Ive seen them go thru several baristas and it seems like their attitudes just keep getting worse and worse. Ive had one or two tell me that the fact that i put soy in my mochas is "totally gross", ive had my food given to other walk up customers and been argued w? when i pointed it out, and just this morning my barista at the drive thru gave me my coffee, and card and then slammed the window shut and walked away w/ out giving me my receipt. hmmm.....some interesting reviews for this location..... well, I have to put my two cents in because I actually would like to give this location some props! For some reason, today everyone decided to get coffee at *exactly* the same time, 11a.m. (weird time for a coffee break, in my opinion...then again, I was there too, wasn't I? humf....) The drive thru lane was looonnngggg.....even the walk up window looked crowded, tho to my surpirse, I didn't have to wait more then 5 minutes to actually order AND receive my drink! All this AND the guy at the window (who was quite friendly, btw) told me that today they had a 21 personnel meeting at that location and they were also right in the middle of changing shifts. Bad timing for a coffee rush, but very well handled!! On a side note, I've never had any problems with the drinks or food at this location. If anything, one time they gave us one too many oatmeals, which we were not charged for and got to keep. I will take that kind of mistake anytime! Consistently disappointed with this Starbucks. My coffee has been made wrong on more than one occasion. Additionally, my spinach feta wrap has been cold in the middle now 3 times. Who likes to bite into a cold egg in the middle of a supposedly warm spinach wrap? YUCK! The drive thru is always chaotic with at least a line of 7-10 cars wrapped around the parking lot. Additionally, if you walk up to the window for the outdoor seating they are not any faster. Your order is still in line with the drive thru cars. These guys are awesome - relentlessly polite, friendly, upbeat. My pup and I drive through each morning, and they know my drink order, and my dog's name, by heart. This is a really busy location at certain times of day, so the car line can sometimes be long, but I always see them working as fast as they can, and they've given me a free coffee on several occasions when the wait was too long. NOTE: There's a new Starbucks policy that you have to steam milk individually for each drink now (where relevant), you can't steam a pot in advance and pour it as needed. This makes for a fresher drink, but slows down the line. Not the fault of they guys on the front line... Awesome Starbucks team here - love 'em. read more

I visit this Starbucks frequently as it's near my work and never have had any issues the many years I've been coming here. Now that the place welcomes bees, I honestly hate it. How can they be ok with bees flying all over the windows and customers. The first time I noticed the bees the employees actually had what appeared to be a cup of syrup sitting outside the window. Bees all over it. The next time they had a pot of flowers. I'm not sure what is going on, but I hope they rectify this issue soon. It's gross, scary, and just plain strange. read more

Well, compared to everyone else, I got a great person at the window, she was not only kind and sweet, but she made terrific conversation, never met anyone as nice. However, the hot chocolate was terrible, i mean, bitter, burnt, gross, and completely un-drinkable. How can you mess up hot chocolate? You have to TRY to get that wrong. More over, i asked for without whipped cream and got some anyways, I hate that. There was a particular reason i asked for without, I wouldn't go out of my without reason. Also, this is mainly a get your coffee and go type place, only outdoor seating next to a large intersection. Not recommended for a relaxing place. And my experience doesn't mean all the Batistas are as nice as this one individual. Seriously, don't bother with this place though, the one on Mill is far better. read more

This location is very limited with drinks and bakery items. They run out of cold brew at 7:00 AM. They tell me another location within four blocks or so "might" have it. I asked for an iced coffee instead with sugar-free vanilla and coconut milk. Now, they tell me they don't have anymore sugar-free vanilla and coconut milk in stock. LOL! Well what in heck do you have anyways? The parking is small and you may get boxed in because of the drive thru line. The drive thru line is fairly fast when though the line blocks other cars wanting to get in line and they will honk and yell at the people in the drive thru line because they want to get in or park. I love this mini Starbucks! It's right near my pad and it has a drive through that moves fast -- thankfully. And the people who work at this location are characters. Sometimes the baristas will sing to you before they take your order or they'll tell you a joke. This is seriously the wackiest group of people I've ever encountered at a Stabucks, but I love it. And the store manager happens to be the talented singer and keyboardist from hot up-and-coming AZ pop-rock act The Loveblisters. I highly recommend the White Chocolate Frappachino if you need a jump start in the mornings. The Orange Creme Frap is nice in the afternoons when you need something refreshing in this triple-digit summer heat. And if you're hungry, the lemon loaf is out of this world. read more

This is a small but decent Starbucks right across the street from my apartment with very friendly staff members. I have ordered both in person and via the mobile app, and my drinks have come out perfectly. Besides the fact that navigating through the somewhat small parking lot may be challenging (no thanks to the weird design of the drive-through), I feel that service was rather quick at this particular establishment. If you need some time to respond to some email, catch up on the news, or just think things over, this Starbucks is the place for you--you'll be waiting for a long time. To be fair, the employees here have always been super nice and never mess up my order, but the sheer number of people who flock to such a small store in the morning makes it unbearable. There aren't NEARLY enough people working there to keep up with the orders. I sometimes make the mistake of coming here in the morning thinking that a fun coffee drink would perk up my day. Half the time, I leave pissed off (and empty handed) because the lines at the window and drive-thru are ridiculous. I'm not even that crazy about Starbucks--sometimes I just want a sweet, calorie-laden coffee. Employees aside, this location is the worst. Don't try to go between 9am-10am on Fridays. Don't try to call in your order because nobody will answer. In fact, just don't go at all. I know, I know, I should be going to Cartel down the street instead.
