There's a certain temperature and texture for steaming milk, and this was clearly burnt milk that had been frothed way too aggressively. Aesthetically, the café is lovely--it's cute and a great spot to work from home. My recommendation? Skip the espresso drinks. Maybe try the matcha or a pastry instead. We did not feel like we were waiting very long. I ordered a pour-over with the Finca El Paraiso Peach Colombian beans, which use a thermal shock washed process. That was something I had not heard of before. The tasting notes listed nectarine, tropical fruit, and caramel, and it was recommended since I was looking for something more out of the ordinary. I enjoyed the wilder flavor profile, but it was hard to fully appreciate because the coffee tasted overly diluted. The barista mentioned she used a 15g to 250g bean-to-water ratio, which is higher than how I normally enjoy my pour-overs. My cousin ordered a flat white with whole milk that was very creamy with strong espresso notes. We also ordered a matcha latte for my other cousin, which was apparently too creamy. Overall, the beans themselves were good, but the pour-over leaned watery for my personal preference. The bag of beans used for the pour-over was priced at $32, which is only a bit more than double the cost of the pour-over itself. In hindsight, I felt slightly ripped off and should have just bought the beans instead.

Their salted caramel croissant is beautifully laminated and filled with just the right amount of caramel. In fact, their croissants across the board are solid--flaky, tender, and buttery without being greasy. The sourdough bread is excellent, and the espresso drinks are reliably strong and well-crafted. It may look like Paris inside, but don't let that inspire your inner Francophile--the staff are lovely, but no one's following your French. Still, this is the kind of place that keeps regulars coming back. We're definitely among them.

She then says, there are menus there - so go get it and look at it and bother me when you have made a choice - well that's what I think she said. And back to the phone screen.
