I really like Starbucks. But i find that some of them are hit or miss lately. This location does have some friendly staff, but on todays visit the cashier couldn't have been having a good day. Her customer service skills were kinda lacking. She heard me tell my daughter she was rude, so when i got to the window she lightened up a little. When they're being negative i am that customer thats gonna ask are they ok? Normally that will bring to their attention that they're being weird. My daughter ordered a juice but they didn't have all the ingredients, so she made an alternative choice. I could tell she didn't like it because i watched her struggle to drink it. My kids can drink Starbucks in 7 sips. Lol. But not today. She said mom it just doesn't taste right but i spent $6 so I'm gonna drink it. I hope our next experience is better. I'm used to Starbucks staff members to be warm and welcoming and some what uppity which i love. Gets me going. Today I went to retrieve my birthday drink, and after leaving I went to drink my drink only to find a red stain on the lip near the opening. At first sight it looks like red lipstick, which I don't even wear lipstick. But it didn't rub off so I'm not too sure what it could be. Today the barista recommended if I wanted to try the vanilla sweet cream cold foam with sugar cookie mixed into it & honestly that was a game changer for me! Okay, let me tell you something about this store. I had a bad experience here twice and reported to Starbucks customer service. First, was making my drink tasteless. When I realized wasn't made right, I was far away already. Then the second event was when I put a mobile order pick up the drive-thru, they let me wait for 15 mins for my drink, (They need to pay attention to mobile order pick up at the drive thru.) and I did not make in on time to my appointment. This is my first visit since they've opened and I love it so much! I side-eyed and chuckled when it first opened, because now I have 4 locations within juuuust about 4 miles of my house if you count this location, the one off of independence, the one next to the Vitamin Shoppe in Pembroke, Kroger and the Target nearby. But let's be real.... who doesn't appreciate a drive through??? Especially one within close proximity to where you do basically all of your grocery shopping, and the bank that you use? Seriously. Talk about convenience. The staff here has been great so far! Very personable, very friendly. I ordered a Venti peppermint Mocha without whip (yes, I ordered a hot peppermint drink in august, don't judge me lol) and it tasted PERFECT. The service was quick and there was no line and a decent sized parking lot if you wanted to go inside instead of the drive through. I also noticed that there is outside seating for the people who would prefer that so I'm looking forward to going in next time I want to sip and study. One of the best drive thru Starbucks in the Hampton roads area. They have such a huge perimeter for drive thru space. It's convenient and I don't have to wait in long car lines like I usually do. They are fast and efficient. They opened this location within the last two years. The location is great and it's in the vicinity of Kroger, Planet Fitness, DQ, Navy federal and Impact Martial Arts. With the location being of Independence Blvd, it's a good busy area but I was surprised that around the time I go, they never get unusually packed at the drive thru. I was the only car this time to enter the drive thru, with just one vehicle ahead of me. This is my stomping grounds every time I take my kids to their martial arts class! I love that they made my horchata frappucino perfectly and the caramel cinnamon almond milk macchiato was muy excelente!!! I have been here only a number of two times but it's starting to become my usual spot! read more

First off I have been a loyal Starbucks customer since before I could even drive. I can't begin to tell you how much coffee I drink from you guys BUT today was the day I finally decided to create a Yelp account after being served by possibly the rudest Starbucks employee I've ever encountered. This place is so clean, quiet, and relaxing with background music.. Ariel always greets you with a smile and stops whatever she is doing to attend to you! Even with about ten cars in the drive thru, my order was taken as soon as I walked into the store. My cashier, Nanci, was extremely friendly and attentive. My order of an iced latte and egg bites came out in about three minutes. Highly recommend this Starbucks. read more

Probably one of my favorite Starbucks locations ever. Hands down. Easily. Why?? Here's why: 1) Convenient location WITH friendly drive-thru service! There's one closer to me but I have to get out of my car to retrieve my drinks and sometimes, I just don't want to do that, so... the drive down the road in the opposite direction is totally worth it. 2) They're always-always-always so chipper and polite on that speaker-box that I can literally hear them smiling when they greet me. I've only been inside one time and it was during that time they introduced the "Pink Drink." Homegirl Barista was super helpful and told me all that went in that drink and suggested she make it so I can give it a try... She guaranteed I would like it but if I didn't she'd make me whatever my usual was. Lucky for her, I liked the Pink Drink enough to keep it. 3) With the exception of one single solitary time when they first opened, my drink HAS. NEVER. BEEN. WRONG and most importantly: IT ALWAYS TASTES PERFECT. And I'm talking the "mmm, groan & moan in pleasure" kind of perfect! I always drive away doing a dance in my Jeep as I happily and eagerly pierce my straw into the cup of heaven. (Y'all seen that Winnie the Pooh meme, right, of him sitting at the table doing a lil dance in his seat because food was coming?? Totally me.) 4) They used to have this one super hot barista and he made it 100% worth driving to. If I could order a venti size of him, I would - no doubt. Never got his name but that's ok because I do imagine saying "May I please have a Venti Toffee Nut Hazelnut Iced Coffee with cream, 3 pumps of classic, and extra shot of Mr Hotness" would be difficult to ring in on the register I'm sure. It's a nice little Starbucks that follows the same format as others. Hardware and coffee mugs while you wait in line, queue past the coolers of sandwiches and pastries, and then place your order for caffeine. Nice folks and it was a clean restaurant. This is my go to Starbucks. I usually swing through once a week to once every other week when I'm filling up at Kroger. Service is always quick. I think the most I've had to wait total from pulling up to leaving was like 5 minutes and that was with 4 cars in front of me. They are speedy here and I definitely appreciate it because I'm usually rushing to get to work so when I need my fix I need it quick. Orders have never been wrong. And each time I go I ordered just an egg and cheese breakfast sandwich with no meat and they always have to check if the can do that and they do. So I'm never disappointed. Today I went to starbucks through the drive thru and there's this one employee which is a girl that she doesn't even effort to reach out the window to give you your drink... My drinks literally almost fell because she only stuck her hands out with my drink tray far away from the window I almost had to come out my car window to get the drinks .. some other employees go out of there way to hand you your drink but her not so much she expects you to climb out your window or something. This is another one of my "go-to" Starbucks locations. One because it has a drive-thru and two, its near Planet Fitness. I always order a tall dark roast as my pre-workout supplement before heading to the gym. I'd say I spend about 20-30 minutes hanging around in the lobby browsing through my phone and waiting for the coffee to settle and the caffeine to kick in. It's chill for the most part, pretty spacious too. Starbucks wifi is always fast so everyones usually busy on their laptops. Never had a problem as far as customer service goes.
