This Starbucks is a hit or miss, lately it seems more of a miss. I've had a stint at Starbucks back in the day, and know how stressful it can be when it gets busy. The last 3 times I've gone, these things have happened to make me come to a 3-star conclusion: 1. Forgot my drink. Iced coffee. And when I politely asked, the manager (?) got a little defensive and said it was right here, next in line. He then asked me what size and if it was sweetened. Wait. If my cup was right there, why are you reiterating my order? Just fess up! You forgot. And no apologies. This is not the first time. 2. A barista (whom I don't see anymore) told me they don't have a Thai when I ordered. Come again? After trying to explain what is in a Thai, he continued to tell me they don't make that. 3. My friend saw a little creature dude in the food case, and by little I mean big, and by creature, I mean roach. Its a Starbucks with a drive-thru. Love this location and the way they use labels rather than your name for the drinks. Convenient walk from the places I frequent. Crowded but I do like the counter tops with bar stools around the perimeter of the back side. Plus they have a drive thru. read more

This location is in a great area, as it is close to the interstate and Mililani. I also love that it has a drive thru and the staff are always friendly. I usually come here on the way to work in the morning or after dropping kiddo off at school. They usually don't run out of menu items. Coffee: Consistently good; although I usually get caramel macchiato in hot, iced and frap. I have tried the refreshers and those are a good pick for a more light beverage when it's hot out. Location tips: There is a UPS, sushi restaurant (Ninja Sushi), Panda Express, RamenYa and salon right next to the Starbucks in case you need to run a mail errand or pick up some lunch. read more

I placed my order at the drive-thru (which I hate cause the line always extends out to one of the main roads) and the drink I received was not what I wanted. I informed the lady and she corrected my drink, she had a smug attitude but I let it fly (If she got it right there'd be no issue). Also, they failed to apply my 25% off coupon to my bfast sandwich (whatever's already...), and to top it off they barely filled my Venti size drink, there must've been an inch and a half of space for whipped cream...I believe that's a bit much for whipped cream....ANNOYING!!! Not sure if I've just been lucky, but the line for the drive-thru has never been longer than a car or two. The service is friendly and quick, and my orders are always accurate. The thing about Starbucks' sandwiches is that they don't look like much, but they're so delicious! This time I had the bacon, Gouda, and egg sandwich which was good, but I didn't so much care for the frittata, which had the kind of gritty texture that powdered eggs has. I literally live at Starbucks across the island as it's a perfect place to meet people or to conduct a casual meeting. This Starbucks is unique because of the drive thru which is very convenient because you can pick up your drink of choice and not have to hassle with parking because the lot is small. It's located near the freeway and Costco so it's nice that you can hop on the freeway or go to Costco to do some shopping. The wifi is free and you can sit inside or out. It is a smaller Starbucks compared to Ward and some of the other locations on the island. read more

I don't care how long the drive-thru line can be. I can still find parking, walk-in and find my perfectly made iced coffee from my mobile order, ready to go. The Baristas are always friendly! I love their Customer Service! More importantly, they have been really CONSISTENT with making my iced coffee the way I've always wanted it with the way that I had it set up through the mobile app. That is why I chose to go to this location instead of the other Starbucks in Mililani. Although I live literally 2 minutes away, I would rather go to the Waikele location. It's usually several misses with this location before they actually get it right... then it's a repeat of misses again. They never add proper toppings. When the s'mores frap was on menu.. I never got the marshmallow whip on the bottom of the cup or the dust of graham. PSL.. they don't ever add the whip cream and spices (the best part!) ... I seriously just come here because it's drive thru. And yes, I would drive from Aiea to Waipio just to embrace the comfort of staying in my car to get me some Starbucks! To be honest this is one of the worst experiences I've had here. It's usually not a great one most of the time, but this I had to write about. Aside from usually getting my order and it tasting wrong with I dont know if it's the wrong pumps of something, the wrong measurements or clearly not caring. It's always a hit or miss if it tastes like what I usually order at other Starbucks. Its sad because I moved to Waikele about 2 years ago and this experience really has never changed. I will try to avoid this Starbucks as much as possible but it does have a drive through which is a big convenience for me due to the fact that in app I can't choose the option stirred for my mobile order and I'm always in quite a rush and staying in my car makes it easier for me to work at the same time. Sadly I'll have to suck up what ever version of my drink they give me. Though I've run into 2 separate incidents where my Bacon Gouda Sandwich was absolutely cold and soggy in the inside. This was a big inconvenience since it was my breakfast and I was heading into work. I've talked to the manager maybe 4 times since I've moved here and he has replaced what was an issue, but one time he did say to me "our sandwiches are always cooked through, you wouldn't have gotten it like that because ... (and then something about cooking)" it qas said in a way that made me feel like I was lying. I would have went there and showed it to him, but i felt my work was more important than Proving myself and I really didnt want any bad tension between a Starbucks I do have to visit. Though today was a big issue for me and trust me I wouldn't have wrote any of this if I didnt feel invisible. So today like always I was about to go into the drive through but noticed that it was long and surprisingly there really wasn't a lot of cars in the parking lot. We decided to park and order since walk in wasn't busy. I went inside to order as my friend stayed in the car and to my surprise, not much of a line. I walked up and a girl was ordering at the far register. Found out she was a worker who just got off as she was conversing with one of the roughly 9 employees working. I stood behind a boy wearing black and holding what I thought was a green shirt looking at the food display. No one was at the first register. I would say I was standing behind him for about 2 min when a lady finally came up to the register and took his order. He made his first order and when the lady replied back to him saying something about a good choice being light and something else, I realized he was an employee and was ording a LOT of things. The girl who was at the other register apparently only ordered one drink and had moved aside and thinking I could go to that register, the worker just left the cashier. So now I have to wait for this guy to finish. It took a pretty long while considering how much he ordered and was conversing. With no one behind me I was waiting for him to complete his order which took well over 5min. I would like to point out that no one was behind me and I noticed the manager was right between the 2 registers working on a binder with papers and also taking what sounded like a complaint phone call, due to the fact he was saying sorry. The lady asked the boy in front of me how he wanted something done and he said he would do it himself. The boy finished his order and then went behind the counter to go heat up and complete some of his order. Then go on his phone. I would have taken a picture, but that would be pretty invasive. So making it about 10 people behind there. I finally got up to order and they lady who could tell I was upset asked my drink and tried to make conversation to I assume lighten the mood. I responded with no I'll response as it's not really her fault. She is the only one who actually really noticed me, greeted me and seemed alert/polite. Finishing my order I went to wait on the side. There were a lot of drinks sitting at the pick up area and the girl worker that just got off blocked the whole area by talking to a guy and something about promotion work and if he needed help. A customer came in to pick up one of his drinks and literally had to look around and over her to see his drink and grab it then leave with only coming back because there's no straws on separate table they keep the napkins and additives. She had ordered one drink and left. I waited quite a while for my drink. I understand... they have mobile orders and drive through orders. Though it did take a while. Finally got my drink and left. Only one person came in behind me. I'm pretty upset because no one acknowledged me, the second cashier walked away, the manager didnt seem to be looking over the staff, staff members were distracting working members and were in the way. This could also be because there were so many other times when ive come here and it just doesnt seem to be as productive and consistent as other starbucks. read more

We're not in Honolulu anymore! This Starbucks is the Waipio area, a little bit down and off to the side after you get on the H-2 Interstate and take the freeway exit. What is interesting about this Starbucks is that there is a drive-thru! Although I have not gone through this drive-thru, it is spectacular, as it is a rare sight to see one at a Starbucks in Hawaii. When I walked in last night, I noticed the familiar shelves lined with merchandise, menu boards, pastries, and cold case items that every Starbucks has. I ordered my trusty black ice coffee (because dieting, that's why) and waited patiently. Less than five minutes later, with drink in hand, I was scanning for a seat. Luckily, there was just one seat open at one of the counters. I settled in, and started my studies. One thing that I liked was that the employees were generally in good moods. In addition, when I asked them for the code for the restroom during my visit, they quickly let me know what it was. There is only one, single-occupancy restroom. Seating is limited to a couple of tables, some counter space with several stools, and a couple more tables with seats outside. Parking can be tough to find if you prefer to park nearby if it is during peak times. I lucked out and was able to park in the only stall open closest to the front door. This location is great if you want to just drive by and pick up your drink without having to leave your car. This location can also be fantastic if it's not too crowded inside. read more

Went to this location to try the Fruity Pebble which I looked up on line. Ordered it through the Starbuck app., got excited to get it. I already noticed it wasn't the same color as the Target Starbucks, ask the Red hair gal at the counter. She said she made it exactly as I requested on line. She was really nice and asked me to try it and if I didn't like it she would try again. Well, it wasn't the same and she offered to make another one. I told her it was OK although it wasn't the same, it was OK and because of her out standing service of trying to make it right, I believe SHE deserved a 5+ Star. Nothing in life is perfect but when someone tries to accommodate you, that is PERFECT service right there. I will always go there as I work close but when I have that craving for the Fruity Pebble drink, I'll end up at Target Starbucks. I have to give this Starbucks 5-stars simply because there is a drive-thru and I adore that I don't have to take my three kiddies out of the car to get a latte. In a parallel Universe (also known as Perfection) I bet everything is drive-thru! Starbucks, Costco, high school, the gynecologist, EVERYTHING! Life is always to-go and you can debit everything in a snap via a microchip in your hand. But alas in this imperfect Universe, beware that on a busy morning the drive-thru can get very backed up. And in some cases it might be better to just park and stand in line. Hanging out inside is actually decent and when I get my oil change done at Tony Auto, my BF & I always walk over. The baristas are always very nice and service is excellent. One time we sat next to a man who was reading a book. I thought about the last time I actually had the time to sit down at a coffee shop and enjoy a book. It was a good ten years ago and I was completely envious of that man. This Starbucks sucks! Been here twice, the first time I came here was Wednesday and I have to leave WITHOUT MY DRINKS because I'm already late for work. I've waited 20 minutes and still my drink hasn't been made! Now I'm coming here after work, ordered a Venti Black Ice Tea Lemonade and waited for another 20 minutes knowing there were 5 people working today and just one other person waiting got her drink. WHAT'S UP WITH YOU PEOPLE??? And now after waiting for 20 minutes the lady gave me my tea unsweetened which you only get if you ask for unsweetened. For real!? So I had to come back and tell the barista that it isn't what I've ordered. Even when I got my black iced tea lemonade it tasted diluted! This is a nice quiet location. The place was half full when we arrived so we settled in at a table before ordering. Almost immediately someone came by to wipe the clean table next to us and asked is everything was alright and if we needed anything. Obviously because we didn't order drinks. HOW Rude! It should be noted that there are a lot if people that sit and do work without purchasing and although they allow this it takes up space for paying customers. Perhaps a sign I the table would be advised to limit this behavior. We ordered our drinks and noticed the same girl looking at us to say, made you buy something. I hardly ever go to starbucks, but when I do it's always at a location with a drive-thru. Usually the service at any drive-thru isn't really yelp worthy (not terrible, but not great either), however yesterday around 3:45 I decided to stop by this location and received great service! I wish I got the barista's name so I could shout him out on here. Anyways, when I pulled up to the window to pay I started to roll my window down only to realize a spider was on my window, so I quickly rolled it back up! The barista looked over and noticed. He looked puzzled at first, but he saw me pointing to the spider. He chuckled a little and knocked the spider off, saving my life! Instead of rolling his eyes or grumbling about me being a coward, he was kind enough to help me. Ok I come here literally 4-5 times a week. I started to pre-order my food with the app because the drive through takes about 30 mins. Going in isn't so bad but finding parking can be a nightmare! So, I order before I leave my house. I literally order 4 items (not always together) mango black tea lemonade, cafe mocha, a chocolate chip cookie, or a plain bagel warmed with butter. I'm pretty sure these people know me by now. Tell me why I ordered my cafe mocha and plain bagel with butter to get friggen cream cheese!! That's the most upsetting thing to happen. My theory is that you've drove away and are long gone before you take that first sip. This is my favorite Starbucks. Straight up. I will skip the Starbucks I'm Mililani Mauka to go to the Waipio Gentry Starbucks. They are faster and friendlier than any Starbucks I have ever been to. Also they have a clean restroom and plenty of seating and electrical outlets for those if us who want to work and sit in their shop. I don't think enough shops do that for customers it's always a constant struggle to find an outlet at other Starbucks but here they are all around the perimeter of the seating area under the bar seats. I just love it! My favorite drinks to get are; the Valencia Orange Refresher, chocolate Chai Tea Latte, Pepermint Mocha and Americanos. I live that they have a drink for my every need and mood.
