Yes, this is a chain and yes they all serve the same menu. What makes this location stand out is the wonderful staff. I am a regular but these folks wait on hundreds of customers in the course of a week. And yet they remember my drink. The other day I parked toward the front so anyone behind the counter would have seen me getting out of my car. By the time I got inside and to the counter I was informed that my drink was already in the process of being made. They go above and beyond the call of duty on a consistent basis. District managers......are you listening?? Hold onto these employees. They, not you, are the heart and soul of this business. read more

Starbucks is Starbucks, and the great thing about it is that no matter where in the world you know, it is always the same. Well, usually. This particular Starbucks, though, stands out a bit to me. I go through the drive-thru pretty regularly (at least once a week), and I always have my trusty puppy with me (Logan goes to work with me every day). The baristas at this Starbucks always greet my puppy and offer him a cup of whipped cream of his very own. This is great because the puppy has developed an unholy love of java and tries to drink MY coffee. The whipped cream is a nice diversionary tactic. My only complaint is that the London Fog here is never as strong as drinks I have had at other locations. Just that one drink. Everything looks the same, but it always tastes a bit weak. This is probably the slowest Starbucks I've been to in a while. We placed a mobile order 10 minutes before we got to the store, and were given an estimate of 3-6 minutes until our order was ready. When we got there it took another 5 minutes for our order to even start to get made. Overall just really inefficient service, plus the parking lot is a mad scene. read more

First and foremost: I love Starbucks. It would be very difficult for them to tick me off to a point where I'd come on Yelp and bash any location. 75% of the staff at this particular location is great... they are friendly, apologetic of the issues you'll see below, and, most importantly, they make my drink right. There are a couple of people who work here that probably aren't suited best for the customer service field, but I'm willing to bet that it's those ones that make the best lattes. The issue I have with this location is the same as everyone else, the line takes unbelievably long in the morning rush. Lattes are obviously more time consuming than your standard coffee, but I've sat in a line for 20 minutes just to get my latte, when the line wasn't that long to start. Should you opt to go inside, you might have a shorter line, but they'll still be trying to rush through drive-thru orders and will probably still lag in getting to yours. The parking lot is also less than efficient so good luck trying to get out of your spot when you can finally leave, your best bet is to park in the Big Y lot. I've also experienced the problem others have where, just this morning, I almost left the drive-thru with someone else's coffee. Thankfully, I could tell that it definitely wasn't mine, so was able to fix that situation quickly. The kinks that seem to be repeatedly mentioned in reviews here could easily be remedied by adding a couple of extra staff-members during the morning rush. This location is consistent I have to say. I usually get decaf because I'm caffeine sensitive but love the taste of coffee. Again they gave me caffeinated coffee and even announce "decaf" when they gave it to me. They figure no one can tell by the taste but I get major jitters when I have caffeine so that's how I know! Sometimes I would catch them and have them redo it but this time I just forgot to notice. Too much trouble for them to brew another batch. Also the slowest location. This is the slowest Starbucks I've ever been to!!!!!! I've been there when there are literally 2 cars in front of me and still waited forever!! Do not count on passing by here when you're in a hurry...you will regret it. This Starbucks is by far the slowest Starbucks I've ever been too. I've been coming here for 5 years now and it's a shame how they're consistently slow. I've been here at various different times. First thing in the morning when nobody is ordering, lunchtime when everyone is getting their afternoon coffee, and evening when it's fully slowed down. I'm always waiting for about a good 10-15 minutes for an Americano when I'm the only one there. Lunchtime is even worse. Other Starbucks can be slow sometimes due to many factors but this Starbucks is just SLOW every single time. It's definitely the management that's needs the training. I've seen the baristas consistently change and the speed of the service is always the same. I'm most likely going to avoid this starbucks now because I don't want to support the business anymore read more

It's pretty hard for a Starbucks to steer me the wrong way. This location lives up to the standards I'd expect from a Starbucks. The only thing I'd note is the drive-thru is fairly awkward depending on how you enter the plaza, so be sure to watch the ONE WAY signs! read more

This Starbucks has a drive through-Perfect for the cold Boston winters! This location has plenty of seating and tables to study, read or just enjoy your coffee. If you are in a rush, my best advice would be to park and order inside. Sometimes the convienence of waiting in your car actually can be beat by just ordering inside. read more

The woman taking my order in the drive through was not helpful at all. I asked for a grande iced Americano in a venti cup with cream. She didn't repeat back the order and brought it out completely wrong with sugar in it (I didn't mention sugar once) and forgot the cream. When we asked for it she gave us cream in a separate cup it was such a mess in the car. How do I order this all the time from Medway, Medfield and Westwood and it's never wrong? Generally an okay Starbucks but do not order ahead online. Your order will be hidden behind the counter and by the time you can get any attention at the pick up counter, your cold beverage will be diluted from melted ice and your hot beverage will be room temperature. Plus you'll wait longer at the pickup counter than if you had ordered it there in person. Better off using the maze-like drive through. read more

Let me start out by telling all that I've been a Starbucks customer for many years and likely spend more than $2500 annually on their drinks and food. I've been to 100s of Starbucks locations worldwide and their Walpole, MA location hands down wins the award for the worst product and customer service of any. Although I was a former regular of this location, I often choose to drive out of my way for the consistent fine product the other stores deliver. Walpole has had staffing issues for nearly 2 years and customer service is now non-existent and baristas often make specialty drinks far different than most others. If you call them out on this they either simply ignore you or show an attitude when remaking your $6.00 drink. Unless you speak to the store manager, any complaint provided to the on duty employee in charge is about as useless as talking to the wall. Like others have noted, don't ever go to this location when in a rush as employees are often too busy conversing with one another or just simply not having any idea what they're supposed to be doing. What should be operated like a well greased wheel often appears more like a derailed train. My recommendation, go to another location. Driving 15 min in any direction will certainly get you a better drink and out far faster than the 1/2 hour you're likely to waste, only to have a poor tasting drink. read more

I stop at this Starbucks on my way to and from Boston every weekend, and I'm glad it's this Starbucks. No matter what time it is, the baristas have been nothing but helpful and friendly. My drinks have always tasted great. I notice the drive thru can get particularly hectic, but they do a great job. Around 10:30 a.m. this Saturday morning 8/19, the line was long as usual, but the DTO made sure she got my order correct after repeating it a few times (probably my own fault, mumbling and soft spoken). When the car in front of me got to the window, he had a larger order and after he had all his items, he handed a sandwich back and was told to pull over very politely and considerately, but apparently he refused and started holding up the line. Eventually he pulled up after getting aggravated, leaving barely enough room for me to pull up to window. When I did, the DTR told me my coffee was on the house, which I did not expect at all but was so appreciative of how considerate the barista at the window was. It made my morning that much better! Every barista I've interacted with here has been nothing less than fantastic. read more

My wife and I enjoy going to this Starbucks to drink coffee and read or write. This time, though, arriving at 6:20 p.m. after braving the cold and snow, we saw a sign on the door saying they were closing early at 8. OK, that would give us an hour and a half. But after I ordered, the barista told me they were closing even earlier--in 10 minutes. If he had taken the time to tell me before I had paid and he had given me my coffee, I wouldn't have minded so much. But to mention it as an aside after taking my money is unacceptable. And then to tell us precisely at 6:30 that the "café" was closed made us feel as though we were abusing their hospitality--as if we should gulp down our hot drinks and get out. I went to this Starbucks around 7pm on a Sunday night, not a busy time. There was only one person ahead of me in the drive thru line and I waited FOREVER. The car ahead seemed to put in a large order, so I understand it is not easy to make everything super fast. I used to work at Starbucks so I get it. However after waiting FAR too long in line with only ONE OTHER CAR the Barista should at least acknowledge and apologize for the wait. Not only was the Barista totally un-friendly, but she acted like we had not just sat in our car for 30 minutes. BAD customer service. The beverage it self was well made, so I will give them that. But, the experience there will make me weary to go again. read more

Just the like the reviews mentioned above, the 5 star rating is all due to the FABULOUS staff! I am a "regular" so most of the time when I pull up to the menu they ask if I want my "usual"! I can't tell you how, in this day and age, amazingly refreshing it is to have service like this.
