Dirty store!! All the equipment used to make drinks behind the bar had old residue and dried contents from not cleaning them thoroughly before using them again. On 12/28/24 I placed a mobile order only to get out my car, pull on the door and it's closed. A sign saying that only the drive thru was open. There were cars out to the street. I just wanted to walk in and get my drink. Instead, I had to wait 20 minutes in line. But then while we're in the drive thru line, I look inside and there are multiple people sitting in the cafe talking and drinking. I just wanted my mobile order. I placed it at 11:20, I got it at 11:43. They need a better system for mobile orders when they are short handed. Very unhappy this morning. read more

Oh my gosh, I can't believe there's actually in Starbucks which is quiet, clean, and mellow during rush hour business. What a pleasure! The staff was so friendly and calm. The space was so clean and the music was an "ease into the morning" mix. So many customers just walked in and stepped up to the pick-up counter and found their pre-ordered, prepaid items and walked out. It was kind of cool to the efficiency but disappointing that they did not even say thank you to me staff. I guess it's just a new era of typical Starbucks customers. In the hour that I was there, I only experienced one stereotypical, self-absorbed, me-me-me Sbux customer...and she was even probably quieter because of the environment. I was never called up to pick up my order. my tea sat on the counter for what seemed like 5 minutes. they saw me sitting there looking at them whithout my drink and continued talking to each other. my friend also made an order and sat to wait on them to call him. they made the order and continued their conversation while his beverage just sat on the counter. read more

Baristas have bad attitudes here. Going in to pick up your order and they all have hateful looks on their faces. It's a shame because I'm a generous tipper, but being short poured means no tip. My advice is skip this location and go to a better one. Gurnee has 2 great locations with great baristas, never a short pour there and they are always nice and they want your drink to be the way you want it every time, and I tip them every time. read more

I get Starbucks daily and this is the absolute WORST Starbucks I have ever been to. We walked inside to 3 of the most unfriendly, unenthusiastic, and unwelcoming employees ever. We were the only ones inside in line ( a couple that had ordered before us waiting for their coffee and 5-6 cars in the drivethru) and nobody took our order for 5 minutes. After waiting for 15 minutes before getting our drinks 2 of 3 were wrong. I felt bad for the couple in front of us because they were waiting even longer and we got our drinks before them. They didn't put any flavor pumps in that I paid extra for, no ice in my iced drink, and used the wrong type of cold brew for the drink. Terrible service, and couldn't even make up for it by making my order right. P.S. - and instead of talking to any customers the worker making the coffee was complaining about his problems with his girlfriend for the whole place to hear. read more

First time to this location. I ordered a venti pumpkin latte, opted out to get receipt. The barista hands me a grande, i said i ordered a venti. Instead of offering to swap it out, he continues to prove the point that I was charged for a grande. Obviously, but thats not what I ordered. I verified the cost to match with the charge on the app, and yes they charged a grande. I walked out annoyed. Just swap it out dude!! I would of paid the difference. I have a hard time reviewing Starbucks locations because they're the McDonald's of coffee -- you come here because you know it will mostly be the same as the location you go to ten miles away near your office. But I do have a soft spot for this location. I camped out at a table here for almost an entire weekend in February and wrote a book chapter. There seems to be less coffee chat traffic here and more drive-through traffic, which makes it a nice place to settle in and work quietly. I also stopped here every morning in January because I had one of those refillable mugs where you got a "free" drip coffee every day during the month if you purchased (or were gifted) a specific tumbler during the holiday season. They were gracious about what I'm guessing is a terrible promotion for the baristas, as I imagine it cuts down on tips. There is one barista here who is SUPER annoying. He's always a bit louder than necessary and carrying on a bit more than he should be about previous transactions with customers or his personal drama. Bring earbuds and you can easily ignore him. read more

The staff member at the drive-thru was very kind and attentive, but the drinks were lacking. Usually I do not mind if my beverage is not entirely full. If the staff member is not familiar with making drinks with coconut milk, they do not yet know the end product will be a bit chintzy compared to a normal milk frappuccino. Thus, I give the staff a break. This time the frappuccino I received was lacking a lot. I also ordered a nonfat mocha and a caramel frappuccino. The mocha was not very hot, plus I still had to drive it home for a family member to drink. He said he also felt the staff chintzed on the amount in his beverage. The caramel frappuccino seemed to be very watery and the whip cream was nearly melted when handed to me through the the window. Most Starbucks are inconsistent, so I am hoping that is the case with this one. read more

I usually come in here pretty early - it's a nice location that doesn't get a lot of customers in the seating area, so it's good for relaxing or journaling while sipping your morning whatever. Not that this has any bearing on the way the drinks taste, but they must've consulted some kind of 'How to Hire in a Diverse Fashion' expert, because every kind of person you could imagine works here - a pretty cool thing in the suburbs. They're pretty cool too. I've never gotten helped by some cranky [or downright exasperated] barista like I have at other places. And to top things off, their whipped cream is never warm; that's blasphemy is its highest conceivable form. Four stars. read more

I'm not trying to have a negative feedback, but this is my second time having a bad experience in this branch. The first one is that I went to a drive thru for one hot coffee drink. Sadly, it took them awhile to make it, they ended up making it when I was at the final window after I paid for it, for a drive thru. I don't live here, but was staying at a nearby hotel and decided to stop in to this Starbucks to grab a coffee. I went through the drive-thru where the girl working was SO helpful and friendly. I asked her opinion on the drink I was ordering (because I made my own concoction) and she was super helpful. The wait time for the drive-thru was nonexistent, and my entire transaction and experience was roughly 2 minutes long, which is very convenient and awesome. This is one of my favorite locations ever. I come here a lot on my way to work or afterward for a pick me up, so all in all this tends to be multiple times per week. I've never had an issue with the employees and they're all actually very sweet. My drinks are made consistently great (they have the vanilla sweet cream cold brew down to a T! I've had quite a few weird ones in the past from other locations). The parking lot is smaller compared to others so the drive-thru can get backed up some mornings but this is when the convenience of mobile ordering comes in. The service was very fast. Employees were in high spirits, very friendly, and genuine. For going so early in the morning, baristas were very awake which is what I like to see from a coffee shop. I ordered three drinks and they were put in a carrier with green stoppers in hot drinks and a straw at the ready for the cold drink, all without having to wait for me to ask! I really appreciated that. The shop was very clean and well put together. If I lived in the area, this would be my go to Starbucks. Plus, it has drive-thru and outdoor seating. I ordered 2 drinks and after I said what I wanted in each drink, she would say, "is that all?" with attitude. She repeated the order back and it was correct. When I got the drinks, 1 wasn't right and when I told her, she got crappy with me, blaming me that it was wrong. They remade the drink but it didn't taste anything like it always does. I feel quite lucky to work right near this location because of its convenient drive-thru, especially since the nearest location to my home (Lincoln Ave., Chgo) is also a drive-thru. These options just lead to an addiction in the making (or already made). Since I frequent the drive-thru more often than enter the store and only do so in the mornings, I will be a little biased towards the morning service. The staff is extremely nice - they do a great job at getting us busy corporate folk our orders promptly and with a smile, literally. We had a very lethargic employee making our drinks about five days ago. I suddenly asked "Is she sick?", and I was told "Yes, but she's going home."GROSS! Really? You have a sick person serving drinks and food?! What do I care if she's going home AFTER she's made my drink? And yes, I have the flu and "intestinal distress" just in time for a holiday weekend.
