I love coming to this location because the baristas are pawsome. Kenny's service was amazing. I used my daughter's app and apparently she already used it yesterday but Kenny honored it anyway. This made my other daughter happy that she got her Frappuccino. Plus, my Golden Retriever got his pup-cup when I forgot to ask for it. 1000% will come back here again. Great hire manager. This is one of the best Starbucks in the area. Excellent baristas, fresh food items, and a quick but careful drive through. My only issue is getting in and out of this location can be painful. Do not try and drive in the "lot" to the west, the pot holes will eat you. Not Starbucks property so it's not their fault but please keep your shocks and suspension intact and do not drive there. read more

Every time I am in this Starbucks, I have a great experience with either the staff, the food or the drinks I get. Although they always seem rushed, they do a good job of getting you your stuff quickly. I am a gold member with Starbucks so I get free refills. I am here quite often so now whenever they see me low on coffee, I am asked if I want a refill. What lovely service! Going back to my last review, which happened to be my first review ever written on Yelp... This Starbucks as good as it gets and I will certainly continue to come here whenever I am in the area. Parking here is waaaaay to small and considering I have a bug truck, it's not too friendly. Not the friendliest Starbucks I've ever been too. They seem to always be rushed and are simply a "what can we get you" type of experience. When I go to a Starbucks I like to feel as if it's better then going to your average place. Love Starbucks but this location doesn't seem to have that the service you've come to expect. Anytime I go through the drive thru I am use to "how are we doing today" "what can we make for you" and lil bits of small talk This location is more direct and to the point. They take too long to make your drink. The vibes are not fun. they have a fly problems. the manager and workers are rude.

This is my typical go to Starbucks, but had something slightly concerning happen today. Ordered a latte and as I was going to drink it, I noticed that it smelled a little "off". I also noticed as I was watching the barista, that there were multiple open milk cartons with no lid just sitting out on the counter top. As per food safety - you cant leave things out higher than 40 degrees for more than 2 hours.... I know this because I have my basset, food handlers, and food safety licenses as I work in food service..... I understand that things get busy and maybe you are just pumping out so many lattes per hour that the gallons of milk may not have been sitting out that long. However I don't feel comfortable drinking this latte now having seen that. Mind you- This latte it could be smelling off perhaps they steamed it too long causing slight curdling, or if they leave milk out often enough it can cause varying levels of spoilage. Or I know they can smell funky if you clean the espresso machine right before serving... Needless to say I will only be visiting this Starbucks for black coffee from now on. I don't want to risk drinking a spoiled dairy latte. Fricken bummed out man. You'd think Starbucks would emphasize food safety as much as any other restaurant does. I was working at the time & I passed by this Starbucks. I figured it'll be a quick run through the drive-thru... I was wrong. On my way out of the parking lot after receiving my drink, I randomly decided to look at the sticker on the cup that has my order written on it... I noticed that it was some lady's mobile order. Luckily, I noticed it before I drove too far from the Starbucks. I was determined to get my drink right because I'm paying extra for another shot & soy milk! I was slightly annoyed that I had to get out of my car & have them remake my drink. As soon as I walk in the girl that gave me my drink recognized me & apologized. She said she'll have another one made for me. She didn't make the drink she set it aside for the barista who already has a ton of drinks to make already. So I had to wait quite a bit... not only was I waiting but there was a line through drive thru & the lady who's drink was given to me waiting (awkward... cause she seemed pretty pissed). I noticed 3 people working, the girl from the drive through, the barista making all the drinks & what looks to be a manager restocking on syrups. I get they have a system working but at that moment this mishap kind of made it a challenge. I felt bad for the barista making all the drinks cause she looked like she was running a bit behind & flustered by the amount of drinks she had to make herself. The dude at the drive-thru was waiting a bit longer than me for his order. So I'm pretty sure the girl on drive-thru could have lent a hand to remake the drinks she messed up on, rather than just stand there waiting for the one person who was trying to make all the drink orders. Cause it's not like she's trying to take anymore orders through the drive-thru... I don't know... to me it's common sense to lend a hand rather than just stand there awkwardly thinking about the mishap you made. I ended up getting my drink but you could just tell it was half assed. read more

Went here to get coffee and study. Lady who took my order was nice and coffee tasted good. There were a few bugs flying where I was sitting initially, so I moved across the shop to a different seat. Here there were dead bugs on the floor, wall, and windows. There were live flies, wasps and bees buzzing around. I voiced my concern to the 20-something guy working behind the counter and he said 'yeah all the stores have them, and corporate won't do anything.' I said 'what if someone gets stung?' Everyone here is so friendly! I just moved to the area and this is the first place I went. The cafè wait times can be a little bit longer but it's totally fine since all the staff are willing to have conversations with you while you wait. Plus they have to keep their drive times down at this location especially, if they don't the line of cars floods into the street. Overall a great Thanksgiving Day coffee experience and I'm super excited that I've got such a great location and team down the street from my house. :) read more

The food and drink are what you'd expect from any Starbucks. Friendly service. A few hangups though. - Like the reviews before stated, parking situation is terrible. Too few spots. Even when the parking lot is full you'll notice that there are plenty of seats to be had inside the restaurant. And going inside is the way to go, it is always faster (at least for me as I inevitably get stuck behind the person ordering eight drinks in the drive-thru) - when they mess up orders, they are usually not quick to own up to it and/or comp the customer - they do not salt the sidewalk. at least the one day I went when it was extremely icy. I was told that they contract that responsibility out to the plow service who doesn't show up until 11am (!!). so be careful in the winter. read more

The staff is friendly enough but the last time I placed my order here the cashier accidentally scanned me rewards card twice and couldn't figure out how to fix it. I'm am SO disappointed because I love this local Starbucks but today was the day I became very disappointed in them. I ordered a VENTI black and white mocha frapp since it's one of my fav drinks there. I am working an 8 hour shift at work so I need all the coffee I can get. When I pulled up to pay and get my coffee I was greeted to a Grande frapp. I couldn't tell the person I ordered a venti because there where people behind me since they get slow with orders and I needed to get to work. So I called to see how much their Venti was once I got to work and I called the establishment and was now greeted by the same girl who took my order. I asked her how much the vanities were and she told me the price six dollars and something cents and I told her I ordered a Venti Frapp and she kind of snapped at me once she figured out who I was and was like " well I only charged you for a grande so that's all I heard from you" I work in the customer service field and I knew this was not her morning so I played it off all happy and giddy but I'm PISSED at her attitude towards me. Mike and Morty (or Marty, don't really know how it's spelled) are usually at the window and are always extremely friendly and energetic. I visit a Starbucks about once a day and out of all the locations I go to (usually in Northbrook) the Grayslake location is THE BEST. Whoever makes their drinks also makes them very good. I usually get the VSCCB or the dragon drink. The Northbrook locations are usually always rude so the first time I came to the Grayslake one I was so shocked on how amazing the customer service was and how great the people are here. read more

Staff is super friendly! The drive-thru is very convenient although there is no left turn into the parking lot.

Coming back to this location for the past two months and I must say it is again my favorite. Barista's are consistently fantastic. My drinks are always made spot on excellent. For some reason the drip coffee and Americanos at this location are very hot which makes the coffee taste so much better even. read more
