I've been to many a Starbucks on road trips around the country, and this one is 4.5 stars kicked up to 5 for their awesome staff. After what seems like countless stops with kid and older parents in tow on this particular trip, I was so happy to find a calm and clean place to take a break. This is a smaller Starbucks but still felt spacious. It's very close to highway 89 and a couple of malls. It was a well needed caffeine boost, toddler stretch, and bathroom break. Everything was quite clean. There were a couple long tables and smaller round ones with people reading or working on laptops on a Sunday evening. The drinks were up to snuff as what would be considered usual for Starbucks. But the real gems were the staff. I probably spoke to every person there as I made multiple food and drink orders for various family members, and the staff members answered every question with a smile. They were even happy to provide two free cups of hot water for my non-tea drinking parents, something that staff at other locations have rolled their eyes at. (I will note that we ordered plenty of other drinks and food to make up for the waters.) They were busy with the drive through as well, but we're super friendly and didn't make us or my kid feel like a nuisance. Both gender-neutral bathrooms are large and have changing tables. They could have been a bit cleaner, but still were pretty good for a commuter/traveler-heavy location. One day again I'll be able to breeze in and out of a road trip stop in five minutes or less... one day when there are no more diapers ha. But until then, I hope I'll find other stops like this one that make the car rides that much easier. read more

Brand sparkling new Starbucks in the West Lebanon shopping corridor. Steps from Staples, BJ's, Pier One and also close to Interstate 89. So the Starbucks addicts like me can avoid the additional 25 minutes to and from Hanover. The place is industrial chic. Cement floors, with a huge kitchen/prep/counter area. And a large seating area for people with physical challenges. As usual, complimentary WiFi and parking. And yes, a drive-through service. The beverages are good but expensive. Wait times are too long (understaffed and overcrowded). The food is made in a factory and prepackaged. It's heated just before serving. This is true of all Starbucks locations. If you want baked goods or sandwiches, there are plenty of alternatives that are better and cheaper. read more

So i used to love going to Starbucks in west leb. The one on 12a next to BK. Last 3 months or so i have seen quality go down the tube, Multiple times i have gotten drinks that had either a.Skim milk instead of whole without asking (expect whole by default) b. regular mocha instead of the white choc mocha added in a white choc mocha drink c. The annoying guy who looks like Ernest from the Ernest goes to camp movies giving lukewarm drinks (guy seems to just be a scumbag in general, maybe he does this to all customers, i dont know or care anymore) d. The drinks being 3/4 way full in the cup, which I notice IF I GO EVERYDAY E. The last 4 visits i have gone and gotten a breakfast sandwich THE SHYYT WAS FROZEN IN THE MIDDLE ALL.FOUR.SANDWICHES. I mean i wouldn expect this from one of the other crap establishments that are employing mentally challenged people, but i USED TO consider this Starbucks location a step up. Not anymore, as far as im concerned i wont go anymore, i can make BETTER drinks at home with the same torani syrups and mochas etc at home instead of paying 6$ for a 3/4 filled drink. Oh and i have always left 1$ tip everytime i go, waht for i have no clue, but i will NEVER again tip these morons who work there after receiving crap for at least the last 10 visits. My daughters ordered Mango Dragonfruit Refreshers and requested no ice. The barista was very annoyed and told them they would be charged more for that request. Another barista in the store (Colby) said "Sorry those kids were an inconvenience and that is annoying" For $5.00+ for a drink they didn't just a cup of ice per the usual. That is very unprofessional in my opinion and just one more reason that I don't patronize Starbucks. read more

overall experience was very disappointing. the bathroom was dirty, the sitting area had crumbs and straws on the chairs and floor. the sandwiches tasted like they came right out of the freezer and into the microwave. the local EMTs drove into the parking lot apparently for a practice drill; complete with flashing lights and rolling in a gurney while we we're trying to enjoy our $26 coffee break. lesson learned - next time we'll go to Panera. read more

The physical space, the coffee, the service - even the internet (from my experience) - are great. The only drawback for me is that I use coffee shops for reading and writing in the morning. The lighting is extremely bright (like spotlights along the bank of seats) and the music too loud for that. In an area with pretty weak options for well-made coffee, I have to say that this is the one of the best in the Upper Valley. I am reluctant to admit the 'best" is a Starbucks, but gotta give credit where credit is due.
