We ordered a variety of drinks from the "try something new" menu for a group of people. The drinks we ordered were the Chunky Monkey, Bobbie's Drink, and Cinnamon Roll. All the drinks were well-prepared, delicious, and served at the right temperature. We signed up for their loyalty program, which can easily be accessed by entering your phone number. With a large order for multiple people, we had already built up to a free drink. We look forward to returning and supporting this business again when we are in the area and have told family members about it who live nearby.

The Grind is located right across the street from West Virginia University. It was packed when I visited, and I imagine it is almost always packed, because of its location. But the people who work here are very efficient and friendly, and my iced coffee was ready lickety-split. I got my coffee to go, but there are some tables inside the coffee shop to sit and relax, if you wanted to. One of my favorite things about The Grind is that they have a confession box in the restroom. I left a little confession in the box, because it promised that the box was "a safe place to share what you can never tell a soul," and I felt that I could trust this random coffee shop in West Virginia with my whole heart. A couple side notes I appreciate. Bittersweet's marketing team deserves. Ton of credit - they have some awesome swag available for purchase. Also, this is a Christian oriented cafe with bible verses, messaging, and music. Love it! And finally, check out the story about Bittersweet's roots, its commitment to addiction recovery/support, and the owner's son's story/passing. Servers were friendly and hospitable. The only downside is waiting in line to order and then waiting for your food. This is probably not the place to come when you have a time crunch, but if you can eat a leisurely meal, come on! I had the Bittersweet chicken salad sandwich and we shared a peanut butter mousse dessert, both were great!
