Everything was perfect, the lamination on the croissants was beautiful, the variety and uniqueness of the foods was awesome, and the service was just awesome. The owner talked to us for a bit too (Billy?), I had so many questions. I felt bad I was taking him away from his staff, but just what an inviting place. There were a few tables, very intimate setting, very clean bathroom, plenty of parking out front and in back. Just all in all - YOU MUST STOP HERE. The bread looks phenomenal! Huge loaves! I returned Sunday for a full loaf of sourdough and some pastries. The sourdough is big and beautiful, not too crusty, nicely hydrated loaf. The croissants were very tasty. But if I'm nitpicking, I think the ham and cheese could be improved if the ham inside steams rather than crisping - it gets rubbery and not that enjoyable to chew through. If you have come across an Aroma Joe's before you know what to expect. A large portion of them are drive thru/walk up only locations. Fitting for the season we each got a version of their seasonal Peppermint Bark. I got a latte version and my wife got the ice coffee. It's a really great seasonal drink worth trying! We considered sending the burnt food back but didn't want to wait another 40 minutes to have it replaced. And the "no whining" sign was not encouraging. So we risked a bad experience and paid a terrible price by eating slivers of a meal that should never have been allowed to leave the restaurant kitchen. Two stars is very generous on our part.

The breakfast plates are great. Yummy potatoes, next time, I am going to try the regular homefries. The bread....YUM...it's housemade!!! Great portions, great price and great service! I'll be honest, their breakfast sandwiches are basic. If you can jazz them up with different cheese, veggies, etc., I wasn't aware and it's not immediately obvious.
