I most recently visited Mr Bagel in Windham for a couple of breakfast sandwiches. The staff was friendly and my food was prepared quickly. While my food was being prepared I read the menu on the wall to the right as you enter. This is the menu to your back in you're facing the staff. I only then remembered they serve lunch sandwiches on bagels. At this point it was almost lunch and I was frustrated because the lunch menu sounded more unique and yummy than a breakfast sandwich. I'll be honest, their breakfast sandwiches are basic. If you can jazz them up with different cheese, veggies, etc., I wasn't aware and it's not immediately obvious. They serve Wicked Joe's coffee which is fun. It's very good coffee and I usually only see it for sale as beans in the grocery store. The space could use some TLC but it does the trick. Stopped by for a quick coffee and bagel. The service was fantastic and the young people behind the counter were very friendly and helpful. The bagel was unbelievably fresh and the cream cheese selection was large and fun. I was really blown away by the diverse selection of coffee flavors to choose from. Well, this is no Forest Avenue, Portland Mr. Bagel, but it's still Mr. Bagel, none the less. The employees can be grumpy, but the bagels are good and they have a tofutti option, unlike the Gorham location. I had lived in Windham for a few years and didn't know this place existed. It's in the shopping plaza, by the comic book store. Not sure what going in here but, it's also a burrito shop for a few hours in the afternoon. I haven't tried those, but I did have a breakfast burrito. It was ok, lacked a little flavor. I think I'll stick with this place for the bagels. read more

Went there last week and got 2 stale bagels for over $10. Very disappointing for price and quality.

The bacon and chive cream cheese is some of the best I've had!! Quality bagel place for the area, I'll be back!

Why such a low rating?! Friendly service just higher than what I would pay for a bagel and cream cheese. However, I highly recommend my order: cheese bagel with jalapeno cream cheese. If you need that green kick in the mouth, order this! Haven't been able to explore Windham yet but this is the closest coffee shop around the area I'm always in. read more

Definitely at the bottom of the list for Mister Bagel locations. Staff wasn't friendly. I requested lite cream cheese but was told they don't have it so she'd put a light amount on...I don't call 1/2 inch a light amount, that thing was loaded! She got cream cheese all over the outside of the paper bag, made a weak attempt at getting some off and then handed me a bag covered in cream cheese. Great option for a quick and tasty breakfast. Delicious bagels and a good selection of flavored coffee - both hot and iced. Friendly employees, who were very accommodating when I requested a separate cup for my sons bottled apple juice - she even put ice in for him. I love Mister Bagel, but this is probably the worst one I've been to and the most expensive. The dynamic in here was weird as soon as I walked in and my typical bagel and olive cream cheese was almost $4! I probably won't be back unless I have a super hankering for a bagel and I just happen to be in Windham. They only take credit cards for purchases of $5 or more. read more

Microwaved egg and microwaved bacon. This sandwich from mr bagel is overpriced and mediocre at best - very chewy. Had to spend $5+ on order to use a credit/debit card. This was my first and last time coming here. read more

Quick, tasty breakfast & lunch. Wide selection of bagels and cream cheeses as well as breakfast sammys. They also have a burrito place inside with yummy breakfast burritos. The only thing I don't love is the coffee here. Staff is always friendly. Come back for lunch- the soups here are really good!! read more

I would give this 2.5 stars. It's really not a bad place, but just nothing worth a trip. If it's convenient to stop by, go for it. However, it's just an average breakfast. Unlike other Mr. Bagel locations, eggs/breakfast meat for bagel sandwiches are microwaved. That may be a deterrent for many. I like the Gorham or Portland locations better. I had a breakfast burrito which was pretty good. The eggs were freshly cooked, which seems like the better option. read more

I literally can not describe how bad this place is. Please if you are reading this do yourself a favor and cross the street to bomb diggity. Similar price but real food. Mr bagel deserves to go out of business. Seriously I hope they go bankrupt. The bagels are crap, and they microwave all of their food! I have had better sandwiches from a gas station. I went to get a bagel right after comic book day. I waited in line about 10 mins. I was greeted by an older gentleman. I wanted a sun-dried tomato bagel. They were out. I was uninformed about their prices. I read that it was 1.15 for a bagel. I asked about getting butter added with cream cheese. They didn't know the price. I asked for onion bagel toasted with veggie cream cheese and butter. I was shocked when I found out it was 4.30. I didn't see the gentleman put butter on the bagel 1st. I pointed that out and he said there was butter on bit and slammed the bag on the counter on the counter and said just take it and go when I tried to pay him. It was shocking for myself and my son. I put some money in the tip jar because it was the right thing to do. I didn't want anything free. I just wanted to be informed and treated respectfully. I was not. Completely dissapointing. Bagels and cream cheese are the best in Maine just like any of the Mr. Bagels. The prices here are really high. $3.80 for a bagel and cream cheese just does not seem worth it. With a drink and everything it makes it a little to expensive for breakfast. Even in Boston its not this expensive. read more

The bagels themselves are not bad - but not great, either - a little "bready". The 1 star rating is for the prices - ridiculously high - and the service - surly and impatient. Prices: Mr. Bagel in Portland charges $2.65 for a bagel with a flavored cream cheese (and another chain, Bagel Works, charges $2.69). The Windham location charges $3.80 for the same item. When I remarked that that seemed a bit high, I got a stare, a sigh, and a "Well, we haven't changed our prices in 4 years" as an explanation. Service: as noted above, surly, impatient, always seem like they're doing you a favor to take your order. Very unwelcoming atmosphere. I don't know how they stay in business, other than the fact that bagel buying opportunities in the immediate area are pretty limited. They'd never survive in Portland. I used to be a regular customer, simply because of geography. I now go out of my way to buy bagels elsewhere - or do without, rather than go to this shop. read more
