Been wanting to give Waxwing Bakery a try but I just don't get early enough to do so. My stepdaughter bought a box of goodies and brought it to my house for us to share. The croissant was flaky and delicious. I also loved the jalapeño cheddar scone. The rosemary biscuits are interesting and tasty. I think their prices are about high for the area but you gotta pay for quality. I am hoping I get to go myself sometime soon to experience dining in.

This bakery is exceptional! So unexpected to find a place like this in Windham. They clearly take pride in using great ingredients (many of them locally sourced!), following seasonal flavors, and using the utmost attention to detail in their lamination and baking. As many have said, it's important to note that they sell out of their best things early, especially on the weekends. Your best bet is to arrive before 9am. You will be rewarded handsomely, I promise! Some things that are not to be missed: whatever their seasonal rotating danish is (both savory and sweet are delightful), the ham & cheese croissant, cheddar jalapeno scone (like a super tender and flavorful biscuit!) and my personal kryptonite - quiche. Waxwing's is in the top three quiche I've ever had and I've had sooooo many quiche. They do sell them whole if you really want to impress at a brunch gathering! Speaking of selling whole - they do pre-orders for pies and cakes around the holidays, and they have big beautiful loaves of things like sourdough and challah. You can also get a 1/2 loaf of sourdough if (unlike me) you have some restraint when it comes to bread. Their coffee is really freaking good - I'm a sucker for their pumpkin spice latte, which they have begrudgingly put on the Fall menu, much to the delight of us basic witches! Everyone here is kind and patient, even when I'm staring into the case of goods with my mouth hanging open, practically drooling, trying to decide what NOT to get. I will say that everything here is priced according to it's quality (not cheap), so it is a splurge to come here. But it's worth every penny. Now go! Be delighted with butter and coffee and goodness!

One of my favorite bakeries in Maine. Everything is baked fresh. I love the almond croissant. The coffee is also amazing. We go here regularly in the morning when staying at Little Sebago Lake, as it is right in town.

Great service! Friendly, fast and very welcoming owners!! Cute cafe style set up. Not great for large groups of 5+, however it was perfect for my group of 3. We were able to grab a table after some folks left and we comfortable sat for about an hour, enjoy pastries, hot beverages and each others company. Super laid back place. We got a little loud while laughing but the people around us didn't seem to bat an eye. The baked goods here at 10/10 - wow!! They know what they are doing. Croissants - buttery and flaky, banana bread - perfectly cooked, the hot chocolate was creamy and delicious and had a beautiful heart on top. I bought food to go, because I was so impressed. The loaf of sourdough - YUM. They are happy to answer any questions you might have about the ingredients, flavors etc. Parking - be sure to park in front of the bakery - parking that is labeled for other businesses or located in front of other businesses are not for general parking...one of my friends was "yelled" at by a neighboring business owner/worker I can't wait to go back! I highly recommend!

What a great addition to Windham. Already appears to be a popular spot considering the place was packed despite snow. But honestly would you let snow stop you from getting delicious homemade baked goods? Both the people working were friendly and welcoming! They have coffee and tea offerings with their coffee being from Tandem. But the appeal here is clearly the baked goods. As soon as you open the door and step in you are greeted with pleasant smells of freshly baked deliciousness. All of the offerings are displayed for you to pick from and with all the choices good luck picking just one thing! My wife wanted their Blueberry Lemon Scone and I got their Apple Danish. Both were perfect and I would get either one again but will definitely return to try even more. If you are looking to enjoy the food and drinks here they have roughly 4-5 tables and a window bar/counter with 6 or so stools. So make sure to get here early especially on weekends! Can follow their social media (Instagram) to see their fresh offerings for the day. Add this place to your list of spots to check out!

When I first tried Wax Wing Bakery months ago, I never imagined I would enjoy it as much as I do. The service is fantastic and the owners are just so kind. I ended up loving Wax Wing so much that I setup recurring orders with them each week.. I highly recommend it for the food and service. Above that, the overall look and cleanliness of thus establishment is top tier.. I have nothing but good things to say about this business and I intend on fully support them well into the future

FINALLY. Somewhere on 302 where you can get a GOOD latte. Both the hot and iced latte were excellent. The flavor syrups are add your own. They have a couple of gluten-free options, (limited to cookies). The buckle and chocolate croissant were super good. The pastries are clearly high quality.

Great local bakery! This is my first time trying it. I got apple danish, potato/bacon danish, chocolate croissant, quiche, and blueberry scone. All were great! I'll definitely be back to try more. They have coffee and tea. They have tables to eat there or takeaway. Took ours home and did just a little time on the toaster oven to warm them.

This is one of the best Starbucks in Maine!…read more I can't speak to the drive-thru experience, but... Pros: + It seems like you can bring in your Chipotle from next door and eat it here with your coffee. I've also seen people bring their own lunches from home. Is this allowed or do they just look the other way? I don't know, but I appreciate it (as someone with a specific diet who can't always get a safe nibble out and about)! + You can order from the app, no problem (I've even done it while I was sitting inside, because I couldn't be bothered to people). + Drinks are made accurately. Segue... + When your drink is ready and they call out your name, they double check that your drink looks correct (some people know their coffee has enough cream based on just color). And, after the first sip, if you have any issues, they are more than willing to fix it to your liking! Segue... + This staff is just so, so, sooooooo nice. The employees really go out of their way to get to know the regulars. Agree with another reviewer who said they always greet people when the enter: true of every time I've stepped foot in here! + They never, ever try and hurry you out. I've been here for four, five, six hours before, no one said a thing. Cons: - it's not always the cleanest Starbucks. Crumbs and wrappers on tables, seats, and floor. But - from what I've seen - they do actively try to clean between rushes!

I stopped in after searching for Hop Water and saw on the Hop Water website the Good Life Market sold it. I arrived about a half hour before close so I was one of few customers and ended up buying a ton and wanting more. First, I found a 4 pack of beer that had JUST been released in Burlington VT and then Portland ME (collaboration beer) and immediately grabbed it. Absolute score! I was super impressed with the beer selection, both refrigeratorated and on the shelf, plus N/A options, hop waters, mixers, you name it. Before I even made it to the beer section I was drawn to the prepared food because I was hungry and knew I would have to prepare something when I got home. I got smoked ribs (probably a half rack) for $11.99, Cole slaw and a broccoli bacon salad. They had multiple refrigerators and freezers with everything you can imagine, frozen Slab pizza, health drinks, locals meats, local ice cream, etc. I noticed a huge wall of local coffee so I will be going back to hopefully find espresso beans, which are challenging to come by. I didn't notice inside seats but that would be a good addition. For the ribs, I wrapped them in foil and baked at 350 for 20-30 minutes. I was so happy to find real food, prepped for easy reheating. I will definitely be back with my husband to order sandwiches and pick up more goodies.

Employees here are always friendly. Their food is always well-made and is of excellent quality. Prices are a bit on the high end hence the 4 stars. These two items are highly recommended. This market also has some fresh produce, several cheese options, interesting snacks and pantry items. Stop by and support local whenever you can!

I asked him what was a favorite dessert, and he and the lady in the back told me the chocolate cheesecake. The chocolate cheesecake was so good! It was light and fluffy with a nice chocolate crust. My family split it with me and we all loved it. I was very curious to try the Dubai chocolate cup, and also liked it very much. This layered cut up strawberries with pistachio cream coating what seemed like granola, layered with chocolate. The chocolate was almost like a cool version of hot fudge. The pistachio cream mixed with the granola was very tasty. I have had the pistachio cream mixed with the kataifi, but Hailey's version was much tastier. Went very well with the fresh strawberries and chocolate. This bakery has other options besides the pastries, such as breakfast sandwiches, avocado toast, and lunch sandwiches as well as smoothies. They also have a full coffee menu, including bubble tea! While the pastry selection was not extensive, they have several options of things to satisfy. The two items I tried were excellent and I will definitely be back to try other things, including lunch. The waitstaff were friendly and helpful. Convenient storefront with plenty of parking.
