Had my kid's bday party here. It took weeks to get a response to reserve the date. Little did I know this was an indication of how things are run. A host was supposedly included, however we consistently had to ask questions bc no one would update us on Lane activation, shoe request, food ordering etc. I provided 3 stars bc the area was clean and the food was great. read more

This place gots everything. It's so fun kids love it and it's great for adults. They have over 80 lanes. Few snack bars pool tables small arcade decent prices some slots machines nice bar specials. Also they have a pro shop which is really neat. Place itself was clean granted loud but that's what u expect from a busy establishment. Don't forget to sign up for their email club and mobile club as they send some great specials quite often. Now it's not as fancy of a bowling alley as lucky strike or pinstripes but it's still fun nonetheless. I love coming here. read more

Seriously racism！！！The old white tall guy who working in front table makes me and my boyfriend problems everytime,we wanted to play the billiards,since we met a drunk guy try to talk with us in the position where close to the door,we are not willing to play there anymore and try to change to inside one,but this "White guy"said inside that one is broken,they didn't fix yet bcz not many people use that,then we have no choose ,but 10 minutes later,he take somebody else inside to use that table,are you kidding me? my boyfriend go ask him what's going on now,he answered "My boss said that we need fill the tables which close to the door first,then we can give the tables inside to the customer !and the tables inside are only for legal people!"Excuse me???this is how American employee can talk to customers now? Bad experience. Bowling is fine until pin got mixed up. Customer service was extremely unpleasant. None of the workers care about the equipment doesn't work right for us. I would rather pay more and go to Pinstripes. read more

Very rude, and even though it is huge, when we asked to move to a lane that had room to sit, we're told "no"! who, in this economy tells their patrons "no" , the alley was only 1/3 full!! Yet they cram everyone together! Very strange way to do business! read more

So here I am enjoying a game of bowling with family and we decide to play some arcade games. I see the big crane drop and immediately head to it. I'm a pro at this. Literally everything I securely pick up is dropped because the crane opens right up. I stand and spend 40$ on this game and now I'm like ok this thing has to be broken. So I speak with someone at the counter. The older lady tells me oh something happened least week and she would need to get to a manager. Then next a younger girl with glasses and boy come over and ask what game I was talking about and the boy tells me it's rigged and that's how it works. The manager comes and tells me the same thing. That it's just how the game works. I play these games in every store or arcade I go in. That's not how it works. He pretty much shrugs and said well hey you want this mini plastic football. No I don't. I wanted the stuffed animal I spent $55 dollars on with your rigged game! Do not waste your money in the arcade area. Stick to bowling read more

84 lanes? I think that's a lie...there has to be at least 100 lanes here! This place is huge! I've been coming to Stardust Bowl f.o.r.e.v.e.r.! I was finally able to bring my boyfriend here yesterday. We tried coming sometime in the summer but they were closed for renovations. I think that renovation included adding on 20 more lanes :) Seriously though, this place is great. It is reasonably priced and huge...did I mention that? We were here around 6 pm and it was pretty crowded. There were leagues going on so we got stuck with a lane smack dab in the middle of everyone else. I'm not a fan of being that close to everyone else (weird because when we first got there, the guy behind the desk commented about putting us in a lane that wasn't next to anyone else). I'm sure they have a method to their madness but I'm wondering why they don't move the leagues down to the teen-20's lanes and then they can space out the general public a bit more? It must not have been that bad because my boyfriend bowled a 242!!! His best yet...proud of him! I won't share my score...it was the people next to me that screwed up my game, I swear! We didn't eat any food so I can't comment on that. They also have a room with a bunch of pool tables if bowling isn't you thing...how can it not be though?? Given the boyfriend's latest score, I'm thinking this is going to become a regular spot for us...just need to get my own shoes, rental shoes are the worst! read more

Pow pow! This place is old and not full of new and hip things. But that's kind of why I like it. I just want to bowl a couple games to pass time usually in the area is the only time I go. Went here with some friends as it was equidistant from the western suburbs, o'hare, and the north shore suburbs. Yes, this place is huge, I have never seen a bowling alley with so many lanes. People were nice, prices were good, scorekeeping system was good, and the bowling balls were good quality (not scratched up and chipped like most places I have seen) Would definitely go back here again/suggest it to friends. read more

I would recommend smaller bowling alleys in wooddale or brookfield and pass on this one unless you want to shoot pool to and have a choice of where to have drinks. there are like four seperate bars. Pretty cool. This place is way to big and crowded for a bowling experience. If you want a huge bowling alley to run around and get lost in then this is the place. I don't have a lot of experience bowling. We are on a once a month mixed league.This place is great, it's big, the staff all have been friendly and helpful to me. The restrooms are clean, and they always seem to have family events going on. The bars have a great selection of micro brew. The bartenders have really improved since we started going. About 2 years ago (just before the micro brew started to happen) I asked what kind of premium beers you have? got met with a blank stare and she opened the cooler door to let me look...Now, much different much better. The pro shop has been very helpful to me. I got a used ball they patched and re-drilled at a reasonable price, and after bowling a few frames I could feel it wasn't working for me they made an adjustment of opening the thumb hole a little at no charge. The person that did this also explained (nicely) how alcohol affects the hand swelling and that my fingers are kind of sausages, short and big around. And he did it with out calling me a fat drunk, like I probably would have said to me.... So yeah the pro shop is PRO for sure read more

Love this bowling alley. I could be a little bias due to the fact that I have spent my Thursday nights from September to May for the past 3 or 4 years there, watching my boyfriend bowl. It has this great atmosphere to it and the staff is always so nice. The only thing I would say is that their drinks are a little to pricey. $5 for an Angry Orchard draft. I guess, I'm just used to $3 at the bar I always go to. Victor's Snack Shop inside there is always so good. You can't get a bad meal from that place. I just got into bowling a couple weeks ago and enjoy coming to this place over all of the other bowling lanes. We tend to go early afternoon since me and my buddy work at a bar which gives us the opportunity to bowl by the hour! I think we got 14 games in, in about and hour and half! I've been here plenty of times and have never had a problem, until today. I came with a couple of my family members just to get out of the house and since it was raining, bowling seemed like a great idea. The woman who helped us was either very crabby or hated young people. I politely asked if we could have bumpers, since some of my family members (the youngest being 14) wanted them, and she said "No. That's only for seven and under". I've never had this issue at other bowling places. After this we just shrugged it off and went to our lane to bowl. Later, our 14 year old cousin found one of the bowling slides that young children use and asked me if she could use it, I said "sure, why not". So she bowled her round with it and sure enough the woman staffer comes running over saying we can't use it because it's "for 3 year olds and under", she quickly snatched it away and locked it in a closet. Her shift must have ended before we were done with our two round game since I saw two different, much friendlier, staff members at the front. Needless to say, this is the worst experience I've had with one of the workers there; she was very crabby, not very understanding, and very rude. If I come bowling here again and see she is working, I will spend my money at another bowling alley. read more
