A really neat place and unique concept. The fact that the area is made from old ship containers is really neat and a great way to repurpose an item that is very difficult to dispose of once it has run its course on the seas. I was going into my trip here pretty blindly, I had asked around about what exactly Starland Yard is and could never get a solid answer so I decided to just check it out for myself. They had the Dark Shark taco truck there when we went, and that really was all I needed. (See my review for that, it deserves its own). I also ordered a Bloody Mary from their bar which was just Okay, nothing to write home about. I was expecting Starland Yard to be a bit bigger of a space, however was not disappointed. I will be back to check out the Two Tides Brewing located here that we did not have the opportunity to check out on this first trip. I wish I could rate this place higher. The pizza is wonderful, the service is good and the drinks are great but the cool hip atmosphere I feel that they are going for us ruined by the unsupervised children that run around the place like it is a playground. On multiple occasions I have witnessed children hitting each other foam blocks and spitting water on each other while their parents were no where to be found. It took the enjoyment out of the place. I do feel like children should be allowed but the something needs to happen about the supervision of the kids because the current situation is not working and makes me want to stay away. read more

Bombb place, such a great idea and an awesome new feature for Savannah's Starland community. The idea is so simple but game changing. Just slap a bunch of old shipping containers together, throw in a bar, some fun outdoor activities and a smacking good Neapolitan pizza joint in it and that's Starland Yard my friends. Official opening was tonight and it was already getting pretty crowded so I can only imagine how this place will look when the word really hits the streets. Super dope spot to come hang out with friends and kill some time. One of the most awesome and authentic things about this place is the artwork. Each piece captures so much beauty and detail it's insane. I would catch my self just admiring it and losing myself in it. What's really awesome is that it's all done by local artists which makes the impact on this place for the community even that much better. This is such a neat place and it's hard to say anything that hasn't already been said in other reviews. It is definitely a fun night out with friends and don't be afraid to take your kids or pets. Smaller then I thought it would be but it was super cute! Easy to spend all your money on booze so beware lol. Dogs welcome (I don't know where they use the potty though) and I saw a quite a few younger kids (like 5 and under) but they looked to be in a party up on the top deck. Bathrooms were clean and indoors. I love pizza so I was excited to try it, it was okay, needed red pepper flakes for more flavor. The loss of a star goes to the Stromboli "for 2" (20$), was a single meal for my husband and he was not happy how bland it was(I tried it). The drinks were the best part and let's be honest we went for the atmosphere and it didn't fail. It was a beautiful afternoon and a great place to chill outdoors, masks are required unless you're sitting and eating, understandable. Even if it was a warmer day they have fans everywhere so I still think anyone would be comfortable. I'd go back and try the Mexican. read more

Went for the first time last night and we had a blast. They have really thought through the logistics of making things easy and the lines go fast. You give them your CC at the entrance and use your last name and ID to charge at any of the areas for drinks for food. There are lots of things to do for the little ones and plenty of seating. They have fans everywhere to try and keep air flowing but prepare for the heat if you're there in the summer. Lots of "instGrammable" art walls for fun picture taking. The only thing missing to make it a 5 star experience is a dessert option! I'd love to see ice cream or pops there - a cool treat for everyone! I had the frozen watermelon lime tequila drink and it was soooooo good. As well as the Grumpy grandma hard cider. Great options for a hot day.we got a pot pie from the English food truck and it was great for sharing. Another thing I'd love to see is a healthy option for food: salad, wraps, curry etc. Can't wait to go back! read more

Great concept and well executed. Got me thinking how to do it in our town. The variety of foods was great and the beer selection was really good as well. One flaw: We ordered pizza and were supposed to get a text. The text never came and I was beyond hungry at that point so I ate a cold pizza. To the employee's credit, he insisted he make another one but I was too hungry. He took it off the bill - which is a credit to the service. Came here on a first date. Scotty are bartender was amazing and helpful. Very knowledgeable of the drinks they serve there. Such a fun gem in Savannah. We went on a Friday night right when they opened at 5:00. The atmosphere is great and much different then the normal Savannah scene. There were two food trucks and the built in pizza place. They have a cute little kids area with blocks. We loved that our kids could play while we ate. There were tons of kids and lots of dogs. It's very family friendly. Our only complaint was that drinks were pretty expensive for the Savannah area. My mother in law paid $8 for a glass of wine. We can't wait to go back! read more

This place is one of the best things I've experienced in Savannah. You start by giving the workers at the gate the card you want your purchases to go on and they give you wrist bands if you plan to drink. After that everything you purchase goes straight to that card and the only time you pay for anything is at the end as you leave you pay for everything together. The entire "compound" is a mixture of storage containers that act as walls and fencing. There is a fully stocked bar with anything you could imagine including slushies and signature cocktails. There was two different areas of live music going on while we were there. There is pizza available all the time and rotating food trucks (there were three there the day we went). There are also a few tvs. There is covered seating, open seating as well as seating with table umbrellas. The place was kid and pet friendly so even if you have young children there is plenty there to keep them occupied. If the weather is nice and you like good food, drink and music this is a must visit. read more

I went here with a bachelorette party of 11. The atmosphere of the place was cool with the food trucks, dj, storage containers and rooftop bar. You open a tab when you get there and then just give your name to the bartenders and food locations. It was nice to not have to worry about getting out my card or paying cash once inside. The food at the food trucks and the pizza place were all good. I would say that they all needed to work on the speed of the food, especially the pizza place. For the pizza being in the permanent location, it took awhile for peoples food and then it was inconsistent timing wise. Some were told 30 minute wait and it did take about 30 minutes and others had to wait for 50+minutes. We were able to find tables easily which was great. Overall it was a fun place to come with a group because everyone could get something they wanted and then meeting up at the tables to enjoy the dj, TVs or the games. read more

Love this place and we went often before Covid-19. We went back last week and sad to see that food truck cooks and our wait staff were not wearing masks. I thought it was required? We left after 15 minutes of being there bc our wait staff brought our drinks with no mask and didn't make any attempt to be socially distanced. They had signs on the table saying everyone would have a mask. Why should I believe they were doing any of other things in the list? We will always go back after all of this dies down but not anytime soon. read more

We happened upon this by accident while bumming around one day. What an awesome concept and solid execution! We visited several times (would've been more if we would have found it sooner) during our two week stay in Savannah. This is exactly the kind of foodie utopia every city needs. Fire pits, stand heaters, several heated seating areas and bar made this place a great find even though it was a little chilly outside. Bags, TV with playoff football, live trivia (weekly), and endless options to cozy into an area and take it all in make this a must visit. Kid and pup friendly. The food trucks we happened upon were outstanding, and the permanent pizza stand in-house had calzones that rival any I've tasted. Super beer selection and the bartenders were extremely friendly and helpful. If you're in Savannah and don't visit these guys you should be ashamed. We really thought this place was gonna be a great for a bunch of us to meet up and have an evening out. Seemed like it would be a cool place to hangout, play some games and have a cold beer. The food trucks were great and the drink were good as well. What we were most disappointed in was the atmosphere. It was like a children's playground. Kids running ramped everywhere. When going out for a drink the last thing we wanna deal with is screaming kids running around like it's Chucky Cheese, which is exactly what it felt like. I do feel parents should be allowed to bring their kids, but there should be some limit. This was our second attempt at this place...we'll see if we give it a go again. read more

This is not a bad review of Starland Yard; I think it's really cool and fun, so please go -- but stay away from the KIS Cafe Crepe truck if it's there when you go. Manned by one very rude cook and one overwhelmed server. I went to The Yard with friends who got their food from Sweet Spice within about ten minutes of ordering. As I waited, I asked the cook in the truck a question about drinks, since they didn't have them listed, and he mumbled something and then ducked under the counter. I finally got an answer from the server. I watched while the server gave my simple order to someone else who had ordered after me, who then gave it back because it was wrong. I overheard the cook and server arguing over whether the dish that had been handed out the window should be served to another person. (I know that legally it's supposed to be thrown out, but the cook put it back on his grill space!) I questioned politely whether that had been my order and the server denied it. Then I watched as they served yet another person who had ordered after me, so I questioned it a little more assertively and got yelled at and admonished by the chef. I would have cancelled the order but my friends had already waited so long for me to join them to eat, I decided to stay. I finally got my food after about a half hour. read more

Cool concept but too small for its own good. It gets crowded very easily. The one bar that services the whole complex gets crowded quickly, so be prepared to wait in line for a drink. There is very limited seating and table space so be prepared to either fight for a seat/table or stand while you eat and drink. Some of the open areas become overrun with wild, screaming kids because people typically bring their children here. I love kids but not when I'm trying to have a relaxing drink at 9PM. You typically have to wait in line to enter and to exit the complex to open and close out your tab. I do love that you don't have to use your card anywhere inside once you enter but the bill hikes up quick if you don't pay attention. The food is typically pretty good and the variety is okay. I would say this is worth checking out if you've never been but I can't see myself or my friends frequenting this place until it fixes a few things. read more

This place is really cool. A great hangout spot with great games, food, atmosphere and drinks BUT it is over ran by kids.. I used to work at a daycare and this place definitely feels like the playground at the daycare I worked at. Parents not watching their kids, kids running around and bumping into you, spilling your drink, screaming and ruining the music/atmosphere. If you want to unwind and have a drink this place is NOT the go too. If you want to have random kids run into and eat your food, by all means.... welcome, this place is your heaven!
