Favorite casual spot in Savannah that is dog friendly!! All outdoor seating on a deck along the water. Order first at the counter then grab a number. It was the middle of the day so we were just there for a snack but I definitely want to return for lunch so I can order more items. We got the she crab soup and grilled oysters and both were amazing. The food and location is amazing here-- however the ordering situation is a nightmare. This was my 5th time visiting and out of all 5 visits, only one visit has allowed me to order in less than 20 minutes. In order to order, you stand in an unshaded line starting in the parking lot. In all of my visits, only one person works the ordering kiosk and has to prepare drinks as well. Because of the location and waterfront vibes, I really wanted to love this place, but this will be our last time visiting. I would return if the efficiency of the restaurant is improved. 50 minutes standing in a line in the middle of May is #notworking. read more

What to say that isn't good about this place? I'm from SoCal & was so excited for some good food while visiting GA. And this place did not disappoint: everything from the okra, to the tacos, to the rolls, wow: amazing! The servers and cashier were very very nice, and never rushed us. They were very helpful in guiding me what to order! The view is awesome here right by the dock: definitely a place to come to for that "southern" feel by the water! After seeing this place recommended a bunch we had to go try it out! Perfect spot on the water, you order at the bar and food station and then go find a seat and they bring you your food. They had plenty of seating options and pretty spacious (granted we went on a Sunday evening, probably busier in the peak summer time). Drinks and food were very good. The scenery here is breathtaking and very peaceful! My son and I were recommended we come to this place for that reason. I wasn't really sure what to expect food wise. One thing that's different here i wasn't use to was that they wipe your card before you order and they dont close our your tap until you leave. My son ordered a cheese burger and fries. I had a shrimp roll and fries w/ bar drink. I dont remember the name of it. But it wasn't my favorite. The Shrimp roll had a very odd flavor to it. I wasn't a fan of. I would give it a 5 /10. My son loved the cheese burger he said it was one of the best he had. I will say for price I paid for everything the food wasn't worth it. read more

You drive to the end of a residential area and the restaurant parking lot is in front of you. The place reminded us of our travels of seafood restaurants in New England. A little different service set up. As you walk in you are directed to a place to order your food and drinks. No sit down service. We ordered and got a number and proceeded to the deck with tables. They are under shade and they have fans throughout. We had our two beers to the table quickly followed by our food. We split fried clams, shrimp platter, and fried okra. The clams were fried perfectly and quite tasty. A perfect size to share. The fried shrimp and fries were also good. We got a good serving of shrimp and seasoned fries. The okra was ok. I like more of a batter on my okra. Once done you return to where you ordered and pay. Eating by the water was nice. read more

I recently saw a Tik Tok video about this hidden gem and I knew I had to try it. Initially, the greeting we received wasn't very friendly or welcoming but after speaking with other staff members who were more helpful it got better. It's a bit confusing as a first timer because you pay for your drinks and food up front at a "concession stand" type location and then the server brings your items out. Otherwise no one comes around asking what you need or want. But everything we had was so delicious and the seafood was so fresh. The drinks were even a hit. You can't forget about the gorgeous views, I was able to take some amazing pictures. I will definitely be back! read more

Great ambiance, small menu done well. I have previously bookmarked this spot before our visit, and we opted to eat dinner here on our last night in Savannah. The weather was nice enough to sit and eat out on the dock and enjoy the sunset. It was quiet and lovely, if a little buggy (but such is the risk you take with al fresco dining!) Again, the menu is small and is built off whatever was caught recently, it seems. There are also only a couple employees and I feel like they are all doing a lot to do all the things. We happened to be there during a cooler time of year and it wasn't terribly busy, but I can see how it could get packed and wait times for food and drink could get long. We got some brussels sprouts that were delicious, and some calamari to share, and my partner got a seafood chowder/soup of sorts. Everything was fairly simple, but very well done and delicious. My apple goat cheese salad was really small and lacked any goat cheese flavor. The shrimp dishes we had were fresh shrimp. Tasty! They were very busy but the service was ok. Today (Saturday, April 26), after attending the Chalk Competition, we stopped by The Wyld Dock Bar for a late lunch. Here's my honest review: First, the positives: * You order right at the entrance -- heads up, it's best to look at their menu online before you go so you're ready! (They do have a simplified menu once you get there too.) * Flavor was on point! Everything we ordered came out just as we asked: raw oysters, fried shrimp, elote, fish tacos, and a burger. * Food came out hot and fresh, and a friendly lady delivered it to our table. Now for the not-so-great parts: * We ended up sitting at a dirty table (the only one available), and no one ever came to clean it. * Our drinks were dropped off with zero greeting -- not even a "hi" or "here's what you ordered." * The biggest issue: the fried shrimp weren't cleaned properly. They still had more than just the tails... a lot of the shell and the digestive tract (poop line) were still there. So yes, we all ate shrimp poop today, including my kids. Fingers crossed we don't get sick! P.S. No soap in the restroom... read more

We were suggested to go to the Wyld by a local so we decided to try it. When we got to the entrance we noted the menu hanging form a cloths stand and tried to read it over the group of people looking at it in front of us, which made it difficult to read. We ordered our food from the desk and got a number. The Ambiance was very basic. It seemed to me that many things need to be repaired. The table, the railing and the attitude of the delivers. Our main grip with this restaurant was the food came out cold! How can fried food come out cold? The special, Crispy Flounder with grits I ordered came out cold. My wife's Crispy local shrimp and fries also came out cold. We asked for both to get heated and they said they would make up a second order. Well the second order came out colder! Again, how can fried food come out cold? There is no "service" to talk about. They give you your utensils when you order but everything else is on your own. The only thing that gets delivered is the food and bar drinks. They took the price off our meals off the bill but that is NOT the point. We really enjoyed our time here! The food was good! Ambiance was good! Love the view of the water and their garden was so pretty. Bugs were minimal. My husband and I also got drinks and I feel like their drinks were overpriced for what they were. I got the pain killer which is a slushy type of drink and it came out in a really small coffee mug and it was $8-$9 I think. Thy cut the straw too short (to fit the mug) so that was annoying. The ceviche was an excellent appetizer to start then I had the Shrimp Tacos while my wife had the clam strips. All food was cooked properly and tasted good! A bit outside of the city, on a literal dock (that you can bring or watch other bring their boats up to). On a perfectly sunny, this was the place to relax and enjoy lunch and a drink. You order at a kiosk at the front of the restaurant. The menu is small, which I find preferable at this type of restaurant. You order, they give you a number, and they bring it out to your table. The have a bar facing the river and a pour your own for water. We shared a few items, all that we had was great. The crab soup was flavorful, lots of veggies. The shrimp and fry basket had nice crispy and hot fries. The tomato salad was simple and fresh. I noted they had a few herb beds off to the side. We came here for lunch right after landing in Savannah--about a 30-minute drive from the airport. I can see how this could be a great spot on a sunny day, but torrential rain made it a bit of a struggle. The restaurant is mostly outdoors, with covered patios that are open on the sides, so it was nearly impossible to find a completely dry seat. The menu initially looked promising, but we discovered that everything fried is cooked in beef tallow. While this is noted online, the small yellow font makes it easy to miss. Since much of the menu is fried, this really limited our options. Food-wise, the crab roll was underwhelming--bland and lacking flavor. The fish tacos (made with swordfish) were solid. To their credit, the staff swapped out the fried sides for fresh watermelon, tomato, and grits, which was a thoughtful touch. The grits, however, had a sour note that didn't quite work. Dessert (key lime pie) was overly sweet and missed the mark. Service was friendly but had some hiccups. We were encouraged to keep our tab open after ordering, but then our server disappeared for a long stretch. By the time we could close out, the rain was even worse--making for a soggy dash out. I think The Wyld could be a lovely experience on a nice day, but between the weather, limited menu options, and uneven service, our visit fell short of expectations. read more

Two of us visiting Savannah for the weekend and wanted to enjoy the beautiful weather having lunch on the water. We stood in line 30 minutes to place our order at the counter and be given a number to put on our table. The staff member taking orders was not friendly at all. Then, after another 45 minutes sitting at our table on the dock, we noticed that the people who were behind us in line were all getting their food. We nicely asked the gentleman food runner if he could please check the status of our order and tried to explain that to him, but we were met with an attitude and told that it would be out when it's ready. He then came back 10 minutes later and asked our name - so it clearly got lost. We finally received our food an hour or so after we sat down at the table (after the 30 minutes standing in line to place the order). We were not given an apology for the inconvenience. Food was okay; small portions. This place must rely on the location knowing that they will be busy no matter what, so customer service is clearly not a priority. Probably will not be back when we next visit Savannah. read more

Food was good, the wait in line was not long but you order at the entrance before you sit. Choose your own table as well! Bar is stocked well, food is good.
