We stopped at Treylor Park Hitch for lunch and had a great experience! I had the TV Dinner Fish & Chips, and it was a huge portion and absolutely delicious. My only complaint was that the fries came out cold, but everything else was great. The Pickleback Bloody Mary was excellent--definitely worth trying! My hubby had the Apple Pie Chicken Sandwich, and wow... what a unique and delicious combination! We both really enjoyed our meals and would definitely come back to try more of the menu. read more

Love the menu and the casual vibe. Been here before, few years back. Creature Comforts Tropicalia IPA on tap is a must have for me when in Georgia. (Don't have it where I live) Wasn't very cold. That's a tap issue. Sending back won't make it colder. I said nothing. Our Server was awesome. So polite, funny & attentive. Our food was delicious, but it clearly was sitting in kitchen a while before we got it. Food was not hot. Luke warm. 4 out of 5 in our party said same thing. When we are traveling we rely on Yelp and we are glad we did when we decided to pick Treylor Park - Hitch. When we chose it we didn't realize that there are a few other Treylor Parks - all with their own concepts. The service was a little lukewarm at first, but got progressively better. We went on Father's Day and expected it to be a little busier, but maybe we missed the rush. My husband started off with a Bloody Mary - all the way. It came with a pickle juice shooter that at first sounded a little weird, but was actually tasty. We started with fried green tomatoes. They were definitely different than any I had ever had. First it was tempura. YAY! Most are cornmeal and the texture is weird. These were so good. It came with a pimento cheese topper. It was my first time having pimento cheese and I loved it! I had the grilled apple pie chicken sandwich. I was a little worried it would be super sweet but it was not. It was perfectly balanced. My husband had the Treylor Park Pot Pie. This restaurant in Savannah (diner) had the most amazing fried green tomatoes with fabulous pimiento cheese on it! I've never had real southern pimiento cheese, apparently, just cheap imitations in the past! I had lunch with some friends and the service was quick, but they didn't rush us out. We would not have stopped here if it were not for our amazing Uber driver. She mentioned these peanut butter & jelly chicken wings, and I was intrigued. My mom is not the biggest chicken wing fan, but she is always down to find a good wing. Thank goodness we did! These wings are the perfect combination of sweet and savory. The peanut sauce is not overly sweet and has more of an umami taste. The wings are paired with this peach jelly, OH MY GOD. We also had this collared green dip. This was a must-have. This evening, my friend, Matt, and I dimmed at the hitch, which is part of trailer park. For a drink, I got the Kool-Aid grape drink with gummy bears inside and then my friend Matt got the large Sprite and I also got a water with a lemon. Our server this evening and our hostess her name is Audrey and she is fantastic. She was very attentive, although she was manning the hostess stand and doing tables. Just amazing! Incredible food combined with some of the friendliest good service I've ever had. It was father's day, my wife talked me into having a bloody marry, so I got to All The Way Bloody Marry. It's a spicy one topped with a lemon and lime slice, a sweet pickle and a couple of olives. Then it comes with a shot of pickle juice on the side to be added in. I was a little bit skeptical about added the pickle juice shot at first, but I added it a little at first then the whole thing. It ended up adding a little bit of extra flavor. The bloody marry was very good. For lunch we started with an order of fried green tomatoes. This one of the best fried green tomatoes I've ever had. As for our lunch, my wife had the Apple Pie Fried Chicken sandwich. It surprised the hell out of her! It was not super sweet like you would think, but very well balanced and very good. Now me I had the Treylor Park Pot Pie. It's a chicken pot pie wrapped in a burrito wrapper "chicken pot pie burrito ". It was incredible! I only wish it able to eaten with your hands. I ate and drank at this spot waaaaay back when I first visited Savannah, and I've been a hundred different people since then. And I know this is a tourist spot. But I still enjoyed my mid-day break here. I stopped by after doing a couple different museums. I was thirsty, tired, and my brain was mushy. Both bartenders were great. The second one hooked me up on a great to go cup! I had the cactus pear margarita, which wasn't too sweet and easy to drink. The hang tang mojito (yes, THAT Tang) wasn't as amazing as I remember it being in 2018, but that was a different me. It was still a fun drink and full of fresh mint. The flying wasp, an Arnold Palmer-esque drink made with sweet tea vodka, lemon juice, and mint was probably my favorite. Truly refreshing. I also tried the cherry cola (cherry kool-aid vodka, cola, lime, luxardo cherry), but it was a little sweet for me. They have a lot of fried food here, served creatively. Fried banana pepper rings, fried green tomatoes, cheesesteak egg rolls, creamed collard dip, tacos, fish and chips, chicken and waffles, etc. I had their cheeseboard which is INSANE! It is HUGE and only 20 dollars! I could barely make a dent in it. Two or three or maybe even four people could share this board, and it's really a value! Cheap prices for the area too. My wife typically does not a bourbon drinker, but this drink makes her come back for more! The PB&J wings are a must have. Yes. It sounds like an awful combination for wings, but it's the best bite I've had in town this week! The fried green tomatoes are tough to find any better. Delicious! From walking up to the hitch we can appreciate the level of dedication to the hitch theme it was pretty kitschy and cute. We were warmly welcomed by staff upon entering and seated quickly. I have seen the reviews and they are either great, or lousy, and I get it. Of I were rating it on just the food I would give it a 3...it was...fine. But the service sucked. By more than one person. On a show afternoon. It is disappointing that this was my last meal before leaving Savannah. I walked up, a little late for lunch and asked to sit outside, as the weather was lovely. I was told to have a seat anywhere. After a bit the waitress came out with a cup of water and a menu, but I told her I had already check it out and just wanted the ahi tuna salad. And then I waited. And waited. She finally came back around with a bunch of plates on her arms and drops me off some tacos. I told her I ordered a salad, and she just said "Oh this is just what the kitchen gave me". Ok. A little while later my salad was brought out by someone else who was friendly and asked if I needed anything else. I told her I was good. My waitress came by a minute later and made sure I got the right lunch and I gave her a thumbs up. Then, I wasn't halfway through my salad before she comes back and asks me if I wanted to order something else of if I just wanted the check. Like she is trying to turn over the table in a mostly empty restaurant. I had practically just started eating. It was rude. She then rings me up and I never see an itemized bill, just the total, but I had the receipt emailed to me. She charged me for the more expensive entree, that I didn't order, nor eat, and then rushed me off. I walked in after lunch to ask about the restrooms to wash my hands, and the man now standing at the host desk was on the phone and never once looked at me. I stood there for two minutes before I just started walking around. There were maybe six tables occupied but no one has any time for you, here. As for the salad, it is just ok. I liked the salad mix , avocado, and the pickled red onions. There was a TON of ginger on it that just took over everything and got pushed to the side. The tuna was ok but the quality wasn't great and it and the cucumbers were marinated in what tasted like sweet teriyaki sauce. The dressing was supposed to be a wasabi vinaigrette but it was a sweet, citrusy, goopy sauce that tasted nothing of wasabi. If I were to guess, I would say maybe yuzu and honey. But even fake wasabi has that horseradishy bite to it and it can't be hidden. This had nothing of that. So all in all I got overcharged for a mid salad and snotty service. read more

Popped in for a late lunch at 2:00 and sat outside. Was disappointed to hear they were out of the beer my husband wanted (only local option) and the only non alcoholic beer option that I wanted. We were going to get the fried green tomato BLT but were informed they were ALSO out of the pimento cheese which was what made the sandwich special enough to order in our opinion. We ended up sharing the double dog instead. While it was tasty, it wasn't quite big enough to truly be on 2 buns (very clear once we cut it in half) and unfortunately both the hot dog and the fries were lukewarm, bordering on cold. The service was okay--food took awhile to come out but it had clearly been sitting there ready for a while based on the temperature so seems like more of a service issue. read more

The Tang and cherry Kool Aid shots were delicious and worth the $3. For food we ordered: Treylor Park Nachos Grande, Chicken Biscuit with Fries, Smash Burger with cheese and Fries, and Deep Fried Oreos. The nachos were fully loaded and packed with tons of chicken and toppings, all of which went really well together. The chicken biscuit was cooked fresh and could tell the biscuit was homemade, all the crinkle fries were tender and crisp. The smash cheeseburger was well seasoned and more filling than expected. The deep fried Oreos were sooo good they are addicting, needless to say they all were gone before leaving the table. What a place! Our group was in town for a Bachelorette trip and this was our first restaurant stop! Let me tell you, this place owes us nothing! Down to the service the entire experience was great!
