The seating options vary: covered, umbrellas, out in the open, some with fans for hot weather, & some heaters for cooler. It's all outdoor seating. The bar has plenty of drink options. Including many local breweries. Paying is easy because all you have to do is give your name & the card you gave upon entering is charged. I will say if you have a popular/common last name make sure you give your first name when placing orders. So you are charged correctly. And double check your receipt when you pay upon leaving that no one else's food or drinks were accidentally added to your bill! The food trucks take turns at the yard. So there is always variety. This is such a fun little place away from the bustle of downtown. We stopped by for a pizza from Pizzeria Vittoria and a beer and it did not disappoint. Starland Yard is a unique and fun space that is the perfect spot to enjoy food/drinks. There are a few street parking spots around. You open up a tab under your name when you enter the area and close out when you leave, so no need to worry about paying while you are inside. We went on a Wednesday night and they had trivia going on! It is open air and dogs are allowed in, with water jugs and bowls around. Several heat lamps around too. There is a pizza spot always open there as well as one or two rotating food trucks that are listed on their site. Tried the La Diavola pizza which was delicious, and the pound cake for dessert which was unfortunately a little dry for our liking. We also got a burger and fries from the food truck that was there which were great. Overall, a lovely experience and cool place to check out in Savannah!! read more

It is a very hip and modern open space with colorful decorations. I tried pizzas at Pizzeria Vitoria this time. They were amazing. The service was amazing too. I couldn't hear because it was loud that night but they were very patient. I tried their Market Pie with duck meat, kale, and sweet potatoes. It was really good, exotic taste but a little bit overcooked so it's a little bitter. I still recommend it though. The pizzas are one person size so it's not too much. For the prize it was a little bit expensive. But overall great place great food. Can't wait to try more food at other trucks too! read more

What a fun concept. I came in for lunch about a week after they opened. It's a food truck park built from recycled shipping containers. You walk in through a container and swipe your card at the desk to start a tab. The clerk gives you bracelets for everyone you want on your tab and then you can scan it everywhere to add items to it. We took a loop to scope things out and then made a food plan. The only permanent food is Pizzeria Vittoria and we ordered a pepperoni from there. Plus we hit up the bbq truck for some chicken and mac n' cheese. I was about to skip town on a long car ride so I didn't drink, but I ordered a couple waters at the bar along with a frozen strawberry lemonade... refreshing! The design is super funky all the way down to the trash cans sporting gold rims and another painted like a watermelon! It was one of the hottest days of the year so the shaded areas with fans made our outdoor dining more bearable. There are some seats inside the pizzeria, but all the chairs were turned up on the tables so I didn't bother to go in there. Checking out was all sorts of easy and very a convenient way of doing business here. I see this place becoming a hot spot in town for sure. read more

Starland yard is one of the best places to have a casual hangout with your friends ! You know you're getting close when you see the colorful art on the walls off the street . Starland yard is an unusual place built with vibrantly painted old shipping containers and other recycled materials. The entrance is through a shipping container at the end of which is the reception kiosk where they sell tickets for drinks and food inside. Inside is a large open area with food trucks and restaurants around it. There's also a play area for kids. Pets are welcome on leash. Lots of picnic benches as well as indoor seating available. They have live music, great food and beer! There's Vittorias's pizzeria that serves freshly prepared Neapolitan pizza, they also have a variety of rotating food trucks with different cuisines everyday. As for Parking, they do not have a parking lot and you have to find street parking. However, based on the couple of times I've been here on weekends, it's been very easy to find street parking. Overall, I love the eco friendly and inclusive vibe that the Starland yard community generates - you definitely feel welcome here ! I highly recommend taking your friends and family . read more

We went as a big group (7) on a Friday night. The place was very busy which was great to see, although we could have done without the children screaming and running around our table, at one point asking us to help them with things, with no parents around. The system of opening a tab as you walk in and not having to pay at each check was unique and made things much easier! The food and drinks were we had were excellent! Pizza was really good, we loved the margarita. Some of the trucks were out of things but we were there later. One in our group was gluten free and unfortunately she couldn't find any gluten free options based on current food trucks open. Tucked away off of Whitaker street is a neat little area to relax, have a drink, and enjoy a meal with friends. Starland (once you find the entrance) is unique in that you check in and present your credit card which they scan as they (or cash) not accepted on the grounds. If you want an alcoholic beverage at check in is when you have to present your ID and they give you a wrist band and your good to go! We came for the pizza at Vittoria's which is the subject of another review. Vittoria's is the anchor restaurant here as there are a couple of other food trucks that I assume change out. They are good anchor with an excellent pizza! There are tables and booths scattered about some covered, some with umbrellas, some open to the sunshine and the rain. There is also a bar in the middle of these small grounds that serves beer and mixed drinks, in which I grabbed a DIPA and Jo a mixed bourbon drink that she thought was pretty good, but nothing to brag on. The two food trucks had mostly Mexican fare one had more of a variety. The vibe is energetic with a lot of people have a drink and enjoying being outside with friends. Once we finished our pizza, drinks and people watching we headed out. On checkout they review your purchases and you have the option to add a tip. read more

I was in the area while visiting Savannah and was drawn to Starland Yard with the very cool shipping containers. Prior to going in you provide a credit card and ID to receive a wrist band. It's a good system to provide a credit card before hand and then you can charge everything inside to it instead of hanging out your card several times. We went to the bar and I ordered a cranberry sour beer. It was very nice and tasty. My partner ordered a Rhubard Old Fashioned which was okay. You couldn't taste the Rhubard, and was quite strong. There's a pizza place on-site which honestly smelled and looked delicious. I had pizza for dinner the night before so I didn't order it. There was a food truck on side called Loki Food Bus. It was Mediterranean hummus bowls and fries. We ordered a bowl of fries came with garlic Mayo and ketchup. No one had masks inside the food bus to follow COVID-19 protocol for food handling. A mask was worn by the staff member took the order. The fries were good, a bit over seasoned but a very generous portion. The bathrooms were nice and clean. There were a few fires and heater lamps which was nice. Their rooftop was pretty cool with a nice view. Definitely a cool experience here with all the shipping containers. read more

My friend took me here as she frequents this spot quite often. This location houses food trucks that rotate throughout the week. I order from Chazito's. Had the Mofongo and some sides. Very tasty. VERY COOL OUTDOOR VIBE! This is my favorite spot to come to in Savannah! They have a staple pizza place that is VERY GOOD, as well as various food trucks that come in and park in the middle. There is ample seating and dogs are MORE THAN WELCOME! The way the place works is, you give them your card at the entrance, and everything you get to eat or drink from ANY STATION will be added to your bill and you just pay at the counter when you leave! We went here Thursday night after flying in to Savannah. You walk in through a shipping container and "start a tab" by letting them scan your credit card. We checked out the options- pizza, asian food truck, or there was another food truck that had bulgogi fries, fried fish sandwiches, and more. There was a live jazz band playing and people were playing cornhole. This was a really cute set up that felt very relaxed. They had a full bar where I ordered a drink called the loose lipped mule (mezcal, passionfruit, lime, cucumber, agave, ginger beer). It was delicious! My friends really liked the off with the fairies cocktail (vodka, elderflower, grapefruit, bitters, bubbles). I tried to order a shrimp bowl from the food truck, but they were sold out. I got the veggies on rice and it was pretty good. It came with yum yum sauce and tasted like hibachi. I wasn't in the mood for pizza, but it looked amazing! Everyone at the table loved their margherita pizza. This was a really fun place for a group, especially on a weeknight. I imagine it is probably really busy on the weekends. The concept of this place is so freaking cool & the cocktails were amazing. I loved all the seating areas and abundance of fans and water however I was slightly disappointed in the selection of food. There were very few vegetarian options at the food trucks beyond side items like corn, fries & beyond meat. We ended up staying a while and enjoying some drinks (I highly recommend The Last Song) but I was hoping for more variety in food selections. read more

One of best features is how this places works: You enter and start at tab, then you use your last name/ first name in every location to pay for things. Then when you leave you pay as you walk out and everything is totaled. It is a neat system and well thought out. The food selection changes daily except for Vittoria's pizza which is an anchor restaurant. The other foods are from food trucks that rotate in each day. Friday and Saturday they normally have three food trucks so your options increase. If your looking for a fun and different experience this is the place.
