It's the kind of place you could and would want to be a regular at if you lived nearby. I want to be a regular, and I live 500 miles away. But you can bet when I'm heading that way, I'm stopping in again. I had skipped lunch and was really hungry, but didn't want to get something real heavy either, and I though I had "sort of" done that. I was totaly wrong. Blue Crab Ravioli in an artichoke/spinache alfredo sauce, topped with toasted/roasted mozzarella... I know what you're thinking, cream sauce and cheese? How is that light you knucklehead? Well, I was thinking that ravioli, usually served with 4-6 pieces would be just drizzled in this topping. NOPE. Scalding hot cast iron skillet loaded with ravioli, in that heavy, cheese/cream sauce. But here's how good it was. I took half to go, and had 1/4 of that when I got home 2 days later (always carry a cooler bag kids...) Then I had the remainder for lunch one day. Best ravioli I've ever had, and I want to be Italian and have had a lot of pasta in my life. I sat at the bar, and when people sat down around me, we all started talking. It's that kind of place. It's also dark, dank, gritty, and it's character shows in every space. Did I mention the great tunes? Yep... music right up my alley. Food, drinks, music, vibes... Yeah, 10 - 10 would go back again. And again.

Wow! Okay as a person visiting the town for 2 days... SKIP THIS PLACE!…read moreI'll be the first to admit the food is DELICIOUS. The service? Horrendous. 1.) Had to continuously interrupt the bartender talking with their friend at the bar. 2.) a DOG was behind the bar. Never seen that before. A public place. No pets allowed. And yet, for the 2nd day in a row a dog is running free. Cute and fluffy! But not the place. 3.) made a very specific request, and would've been fine if the answer was no but the bartender said very enthusiastically "SURE!" And then once the bill arrived I was charged double. I explained the situation "oh, my bad, I misheard you and charged you for 2." That was it. So, it's your mistake for not paying attention because your friend is sitting at the bar but now it's my problem? I think not. To make matters worse? I went to pay using the QR code printed on the receipt and she immediately states "sorry, that doesn't work!" I tried it anyways. It worked! Do not recommend. Lots of cool spots, you can skip this one.

Located across the street from Bathhouse Row, the Ohio Club has had a long history in this town, having served gangsers, famous baseball players, and other celebrities. I can see why...I mean, they like great food and good drinks just as much as everyone else! The atmosphere is off-the-charts incredible and feels as if one is stepping back in time to 1920s America. Combine this with an amazing food menu and incredible drink selection, and you've got one helluva experience! Service was stellar...friendly and prompt. She was also very helpful with menu selections and drink choices, knowing exactly where to steer two virgins of the Ohio Club experience. We chose to share the Reuben, which was a great choice because it was so big. For drinks, we opted for the Ohio Rum Sour and Berry Ohio...never looking back as they were both delicious! We kept it in our sites as we descended, and found it to be on the 6th floor of the Avenue Hotel. Its outdoor seating area was lovely. On one side you're just in the tree tops. The other side looks over an underwhelming cityscape, but that's not Rooftop's fault. It's still just nice to be on a rooftop! It started to rain not long after we arrived. We moved under the patio cover, and that was a lovely way to watch and hear the rain until the wind really picked up and we moved inside. It was only around 4pm so we both ordered the mocktail on the menu. It's the only one and pretty simple, but it was quite delicious -- muddled strawberry and 7up. I bet it would be even better with Ginger Beer! Maybe a little high in price for the small size and no booze, but oh well. As the rain continued, we decided to share an appetizer to wait it out. We ordered an olive hummus which was surprisingly decent (I'm not an olive fan normally) with pita chips. I wasn't a huge fan of the pita chips, but they served as a perfectly fine delivery mechanism for said hummus. The staff there was really nice and seemed to get along and share duties well -- in a small place you notice things like that and it made an impression.

Kid and dog friendly - lots of cute dogs around. :) The beer and root beer are the stars of the show, they're brewed with the geothermal spring water - only brewery in the world to do that! The beer was tasty, and some had interesting ingredients like dill, basil, and jalapeño. I did wish they had a non-pickle flavored sour. I'm happy they offer flights to try different varieties! Food was decent, delicious fries and the elote nuggets were to die for. The bacon on my BLT had a nice peppered flavor. We finished off the afternoon with a root beer float which was lovely! They have a little gift shop (really just a small shelving unit) with goodies you can buy, if you're into that at breweries. We picked up some can cozies for $3 a pop!

Even though it said it had their 'homemade mayo' it was dry. The waitress- who acted like we were bothering her every time we asked for something- gave me a few mayo packets. She acted like she had no idea it came with the homemade mayo. We sat at the bar facing the window and wanted to put a seat between us and the very close neighbor but the waitress said no even though it wasn't that crowded. We felt crammed together and uncomfortable. I will say though that the French fries were good. There are a lot of options of places to eat in this area. I would skip this one

It was lively on a Monday evening because a work event was being hosted. I ordered a Caesar salad and the chicken entree, which took a bit of time to come out due to the large group. This was fine with me. Once the food was ready, the salad and entree were brought out together. I would have preferred the salad first with the entree held in the back, but I was hungry so I didn't say anything and enjoyed the salad right away. The Caesar salad was simple and the Southern Chicken really hit the spot. It was comfort food at its finest and I found myself wishing I had a bit more. I highly recommend this entree.
