She has over 10 years of hairstyling experience, and told me that she grew up in her mother's salon..... this lady knows hair! She gave a me a very clean trim for my lo-bob (as requested) and beautiful sun-kissed highlights. She talks you through each step of the process. It was very easy to book the appointment online, and she takes credit/debit cards. Lastly, there is very easy parking at her salon. I will definitely be visiting her again. read more

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would in a heartbeat. Starr was amazing. From the beginning I was THAT client that sent her multiple photos of what I wanted and she handled it with no problem. When it came to my actual appointment, you could tell she really loves what she does. She made me feel very comfortable as if weve known eachother for a while. She was funny all while very professional. One thing that stood out to be that most stylists dont do, is tell you what theyre doing to your hair right BEFORE she does it. So then that way you are fully aware of whats going on, instead of mindlessly following orders. Her prices are great, she knows what shes doing, and she wont dissapoint. I started off with dark brown hair with an awkward ombre from my old red hair from A YEAR AGO!!... and went to the photos posted in one session...with NO damage to my hair. Like I said, she knows what shes doing and shes great at it! The location is a little tricky if you havent been there before. Star is awesome! I have been going to her for years. Some days I am in a hurry and I just need a quick cut and color, and she gets me out the door quickly. Other times I need a new cut, color or look, and I never leave unhappy! She has been styling for years and is VERY good at what she does. I would recomend her to anyone! 4 words to describe Starr: this lady has talent!!!! Starr did my hair last week for the first time and it came out fabulous. She did a balayage on me and was able to transform my hair and correct the orange and red tones which really bothered me. She also knows what color works for your skin tone. She was very easy to work with and very flexible. My hair came out so beautiful. She also blow dryed and styled my hair and it really shows that she truly cares about her clients. All i can say is THANK YOU STARR!!! My natural blonde highlights were looking dull and dim, and my hair was getting super dry due to heat and over processing. I am always super touchy about people cutting my hair, because I love long beachy blonde hair! buttttttt I took Starr's advice, and I am so glad I did! I moved from Dallas, TX in 2010 to La Jolla, CA. My hairdresser and colorist in Dallas were originally from Jose Eber's Beverly Hills Salon and moved to Dallas. My cut and color was outstanding and would be complemented everywhere I went always. I was a client of both for over 15 years, the same hair stylist and the same colorist. When I moved to La Jolla / San Diego area being in So. Cal, I assumed majority of hairdresser, stylists and colonists would be equally as good or better, wrong!
