Well obviously, cuz we do it better lol The Bunz had gotten a pretty nasty rock chip on his windshield the other day after getting home from work. Using Yelps newest service, it connected me with Stars Windshield service. Thou, at first it also connected me with six other services. So I thought to myself to use all the services for estimates. I recently returned from, 3800-mile trip with my car. A very lot of Road Construction. So I explained to each service what I needed. Had a stone crack about 3/4 inch and maybe 5 -6 chips, scuffs. I called about 10 mobile windshield replacement places on a Friday for a quote to replace the front windshield of a 2013 Prius V. The crack was pretty large & I didn't want to risk driving it anywhere. Paul was with a customer but called me right back; his reviews were good, and he was able to come out first thing the next morning to Irvine. I got an amazing quote over the phone for a total of $270, including tax & the new windshield, lifetime warranty, free repair if the edges start to crack, & installation. The other places I called in the area started at a price of at least $50 more, ranging up to $150 more, & some wouldn't be able to come until Monday to fix the car. It was a quick, easy process. He arrived on time & fixed the car in about an hour, he was friendly, knowledgeable & helpful. Most importantly, his pricing was up front & much better value than most places. I was very pleased with his promptness, price, & how friendly he was, & I will definitely be saving his number if we have any other windshield mishaps. So last week as I was driving home on the now empty 405 freeway, and a vehicle probably going over 100mph zoomed past me and then all of a sudden I hear something hitting my windshield. I rolled my eyes as I saw a slight chip on my windshield with about an inch crack. So the following day, I called a few places in the morning however no one answered. I received a call back from Paul right away who said he was able to fit me into his schedule later on the day. Paul came by my house, reviewed the damage and explained that it was repairable. I was relieved because replacing the windshield would have cost a lot of money due to the rear view mirror/electronic lane departure camera attached to the windshield. Paul explained the repair process and in about less than 30 minutes he was able to fix the chip/crack. After the repair, he cleaned the windshield and asked me if I can see any resemblance of the chip/crack and I had to really focus because it was barely a slight smudge. I scheduled my 2016 Honda CRV Ex windshield to be replaced this morning. He arrived on time and performed an excellent job. My windshield had been replaced before by another contractor who and broken some clips that held the roof trim in place. I did not discover that until later and had to get it repaired at the dealer. The prior installer used a cheap adhesive which hardened and had to be sanded off. I finished my 48 hour shift and noticed the front passenger window of my car was cracked, luckily the tint was holding it in from shattering all over the place. It looked like someone tried to slim jim my car and broke the window, fortunately nothing was stolen. My car is parked close to our Ambulance so these people either didn't care or did it while I was out running a call. Paul also went above and beyond by removing the dangling weather strip that would of been in the way of the window rolling up/down. He also mended the dent that was left from the slim jim attempt. Paul also offered me a discount if I ever needed to replace my front windshield due to multiple visible cracks that were more expensive repairing than replacing the whole front windshield.
