Very disappointing experience with Safelite AutoGlass. I had my vehicle serviced by Safelite, and during the process my vehicle was damaged. I brought the issue to their attention expecting them to stand behind their work and take responsibility for the damage. Unfortunately, Safelite has refused to take responsibility or properly address the issue. I'm extremely disappointed that a company of this size would damage a customer's vehicle and then refuse to make it right. The quality of the customer service and accountability I received was unacceptable. I would strongly recommend documenting your vehicle thoroughly before and after any service with Safelite, because if something goes wrong, you may be left dealing with the consequences yourself. I expected better from Safelite and will not be using them again. read more

We had an appointment at 3pm on a Saturday. Safelite called 20 minutes before our appointment to say they didn't have the glass in stock. I cannot express what a huge inconvenience this was. We planned our Saturday around this appointment and had to arrange our schedules so we could leave the vehicle there and have a pickup. We were also halfway there from Avondale when we were called. They explained that the appointment was made the night before and that didn't allow them time to get the glass. Fine... Don't wait until 20 minutes before an appointment to tell us. That's completely and totally unprofessional and unacceptable. Fix your broke process so others don't go through this!!! read more

They are shady and unprofessional with their warranty. The shop sent someone with a mask in July, the guy was avoiding the Ring cam when discussing my window, making agreeing sounds that the window should not be left up out of the frame if the glue is working, instead went to the van to make a call and advised me that he would not fix it after a call with his manager, without possibly breaking the glass due to a chip in the middle of the windshield, voiding the warranty. Made calls to the shop, but they were unprofessional and conduct unbecoming of a professional, so I called corporate and sent an email explaining that the chip has nothing to do with the faulty equipment, and the chip does not void the warranty. Safelite management took some time to resolve; it was about a month to handle the warranty issue and get my windshield replaced. read more

BEWARE! I am beyond disappointed with how Safelite has handled the DAMAGE caused to my vehicle during my windshield installation. Your technician had to install my windshield twice. After the installation, my brand-new vehicle, one that I drove off the dealership lot with only 5 miles on the odometer was returned to me with damage that was not there beforehand. The driver's side fender, between the hood and driver's door, is now popped out of alignment, causing the door to scrape every time it is opened. Paint is scraping off every time I open the door. For over a month, I have been sent in circles. I have repeatedly called, only to be told that the notes state Safelite is "not responsible." How can that determination be made when no one has inspected my vehicle or even attempted to investigate the damage? It appears that Safelite decided to deny responsibility before conducting any meaningful review. I was repeatedly promised that a district manager would contact me. That never happened. No one has followed through, no one has taken ownership of this issue, and no one has demonstrated any concern for making this right. I also question why there are no cameras in the installation area. If work is being performed on customers' vehicles, why is there no video documentation to protect both the customer and the company in situations exactly like this? The most frustrating part is not just the damage itself it's the complete lack of accountability and customer service. I entrusted Safelite with a brand-new vehicle, and instead of standing behind the work performed by its technician, the company has ignored my concerns, failed to investigate, and repeatedly dismissed my calls and failed to to follow through as promised in 3 days. I expect Safelite to conduct a proper inspection, thoroughly investigate what occurred during the installation, and take responsibility the damage was caused while my vehicle was in your care. First of all, I will try (but fail) to express my appreciation for the employees at this facility. We all hate getting that one rock from a truck (or other vehicle) that damages our vehicle one way or another, and the insurance can be a hassle to deal with. In other words, it's like being at the dentist's office to get a tooth fixed: we don't want to be there; it's an expense we didn't plan for or anticipate; it's a pain (somewhere -- most likely in the wallet!); and you have to take a few hours out to get the work done. I appreciate their courtesy and good manners! Second: we were hoping the windshield crack wouldn't grow in size, but the 1 1/2" crack resulting 6/04 from a fairly large rock grew to 19" by 6/06... and it was evident it needed to be replaced immediately. It was a disappointment that their service at the customer's residence or place of business wasn't available, but I certainly wouldn't want to work in the hot sun with 100°+ temperatures. We set an in-shop appointment for 0700 the next day. That said, I was VERY IMPRESSED by the good manners of the individual who got us checked in for our windshield replacement, and had someone take our vehicle into the shop. (They also had an offer of a good value on replacement windshield wiper blades, a top-quality Bosch product which was competitively priced with most auto supply stores, and we had them installed with the repair.) We also asked that the new front windshield be installed with a piece of tinted film be added to the top of our front windshield, as our vehicle has relatively small visor shades and the late afternoon sum is a hot nuisance during the summer afternoon/evening. They did a great job installing the strip of window tint film. Their text messages kept us informed about the progress of their work The vehicle was done before the promised time, and it passed my inspection. Everything that was in the vehicle when it was delivered for repairs was still there, and there were no signs of their work being done other than having a new windshield installed. I appreciated their advice to have the vehicle wash decal replaced, which made it a simple chore taking a few minutes (having taken a photo of the original, which immediately identified me as a customer). Well done, Safelite. Your employees here are excellent ambassadors for your company. read more

Terrible service from the Manager Jay. Brought my car in to get the windshield replaced and when it was done, I got into my car and my Tesla screen was pushed out of its original position. I went in immediately to discuss it with the store manager. He was aggressive and raised his voice and repeatedly said he would not play these games or take any liability for what happened. I asked him who the owner was he tried saying he was the owner. I asked him his last name and he refused to provide it. I asked for corporates number he refused to provide that as well. I am now waiting for anyone to contact me concerning this terrible experience. Jay if he is the Manager and if that is even his name does not ever need to be in a position where he speaks to the customers because he embarrassed me Infront of a store full of people. read more

Easy to schedule, lots of texts and opportunities to adjust schedule if needed. The technician that came was Chris. No complaints! I got a quick appointment. They had to calibrate the car with the glass so we had to leave it there for a few hours, but we picked it up quickly and everything looks beautiful. They followed up the next day to make sure everything was OK as well. Happy to recommend safelite to anyone! read more

Wow, where do I start? We went to the Dysart Rd location in Surprise as we were having issues with our power window. We initially took it to a AAA repair shop that charged us almost $100 just to look at it then told us the regulator and motor needed to be replaced to the tune of almost $800. I called Safelite and they said bring it in and let us look at it. It was nothing the other shop stated, it was a bolt! They replaced the bolt and we were on our way. The best thing about all of this? NO CHARGE! We have had a few windshields replaced with them and have always been satisfied. read more

The online scheduling and insurance processing were straightforward. On the day of service, the technician greeted me, introduced himself, and efficiently outlined the services to be performed. My truck was promptly taken in for service, and although I anticipated a two-hour wait, the windshield replacement was completed in under 45 minutes. Excellent customer service and quality are important to me, and this location meets my standards. I received automated service reminders afterward. I called to have my windshield replaced after a rock hit it. The reservation service that I called was very friendly, helpful and professional. Joe took down all my insurance information and got me a next-day appointment. I got a 7 AM to 9:30 AM window to drop off my car. And I was told that because my Mazda has a camera safety system, I would need to have that recalibrated. So they would need me to leave the car until 4 or 5 PM. I dropped it off at 9 AM and it only took about 30 seconds to give them my key and I was out of the office. Then I got a call around 11:30 AM that it was ready to pickup! Again I was in and out of the office in about 2 minutes! What really surprised me was the aftermarket dark visor tint that I had installed on the old windshield was also newly installed on my new windshield! I was expecting to have to go back to the tint shop and make a separate appointment for that. I am very happy with the quality of the windshield and the ease of getting all of this completed in a short period of time. I highly recommend this Safelite location. read more

Time- made an appointment at 930 after we were told our car needed to come to the shop for replacement windshield- Called to find out they hadn't even started it, at 3 pm they told us it would be 1.5 hours. Didn't get our car back until 430pm. Waited in the lobby for 10 minutes before we could even get the keys to our car because nobody was around. Why make an appointment if your keeping the car all day for a job that took 1.5 hours once they got to it!!! Thankfully we had a ride that day however we had to keep our ride on call basically all day because well they kept our car all day... Would not use again. read more

Scheduled through state farm. Received work order and confirmation email and text. Waited 4 hrs nobody showed up. Finally got through to real person.... we dont know what happened, we can schedule you for tomorrow. Didnt seem concerned no sorry for that. Reschedule... No thanks, went with a different company, a local company. Will make sure my friends on next door and facebook know Safelite doesnt care. Ignore the fancy commercials people just BS. read more

I had an appointment at 2pm to replace my windshield, which also required recalibration. They said it might take up to 3 hrs. I dropped the car off early and they got it right in. By 5:20p I hadn't heard anything from them, even though prior to the appt I was deluged with reminders. After they got the car in, the communication stopped. I tried calling but they stop answering phones after 5pm. I grabbed my wife and we ran down there. Nothing had been said about leaving the car overnight. When we pulled up, there was our car in the parking lot, ready to go. I walked in and asked why I hadn't been called since it was obviously ready. The woman behind the desk had no answer except that it was the technician's job to call the customer. I asked how long it had been ready. She had no idea. To me this is unacceptable. Next time I need auto glass repair or replacement, I will be going anywhere other than Safelight, that's for sure. read more

Worst experience I have ever had getting my windshield replaced. I will never use Safelite again. Plus the fact that they are owned by insurance an insurance company doesn't help!! I waited two weeks for an appointment. The day of, I got a call saying they had t got the windshield in yet because "the guys didn't order it on time" per the front desk. So made an appointment for the following week. I sat there for four hours for the tech to tell me they couldn't calibrate my windshield. He suggested we let the glue dry a week and maybe it was a defective windshield. So I made an appointment for the following Friday. I walk in just for the tech to come tell me the new one didn't come in but he would try to adjust the current one. Awhile later, he came out to the lobby. He then said he felt the camera wasn't positioned right on the windshield. So I had to come back again when they got the other new windshield. I have been in AZ for 32 years. I probably have to replace my windshield every 1-2 years due to rocks and debris on the roads here in Phoenix hitting my windshield. I am now here for the third time and I've been waiting almost 3 hours. The tech came out to tell me it passed the test that the last windshield didn't but the software they use in the second test is running slow. At this point, I don't care anymore!! I just want to take it somewhere else. I've only used Safelite one other time about 2 years ago at a different location as d they claimed to have calibration issues that time also. I will never use Safelite again and I will also tell everyone I know and work with about this experience!!! read more
