This review is long overdue. We've been using Starving Plumbers consistently for over a year, ranging from smaller jobs to bigger ones. Alex installed our smart water meter, which is now mandatory for most insurance companies, and we have used Starving Plumber's ever since. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Alex has always been the one to come to our house but I've also talked to the woman who answers their phone as well as the owner, all good experiences.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Everyone there is kind, communicative, honest, and realistic.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I never feel taken advantage of or like there's hidden fees, it's all upfront and personable. Alex also knows a lot about our house type, which is an Eichler, as he's a really knowledgeable dude and just super pleasant to interact with. We have gotten burned before by other companies but we feel like we are in good, trustworthy hands with Alex and this company. Wow! I didn't know a plumber could be so delightful, while getting so much done, with so little mess! Alex of Starving Plumbers came this morning to fix my leaking shower, and he did something so outstanding that I've come straight to Yelp: As we were headed into the house,, his eye caught water fizzling under a hose bib on top of the landscaping pebbles. He immediately dropped to his knees and scraped away the pebbles and dirt and found water spurting out of a break in the pipe. I'd been in and out a hundred times and never noticed. Thank God he did. Another fixit needed, but I shudder to think how long it could have gone on if he hadn't been so observant. I had a new fridge delivered and found out I didn't have a waterline in my new townhome. I called up and had Jake come over to set it up. Ended up needing to come up with a brand new solution on how to get the waterline set up and he walked me through the whole solution step by step. Unfortunately the technician failed to write down the details of the nature of the clog (grease? Food? Objects?) therefore we got stuck with the bill. Recently needed to replace an older toilet and chose to work with Starving Plumbers. They came through a recommendation from a friend who worked with them before, so I figured that was a good start! Communication about the project was clear and timely. They helped me decide on what toilet met my budget and needs. Once the job was booked and added to the calendar, they showed up on time for the install wearing a mask. The plumber was very considerate and ready to get to work. After he completed the install, he cleaned up the bathroom and left it how it was before he arrived. He demonstrated it worked and asked if I had any additional questions. Well, I've given them enough time and enough chances. They are friendly enough on the phone but weak on follow through. I asked them to come out to give me an estimate for replacing a waterheater. Simple job. Simple estimate. Strict replace. They came out on time and we discussed the project. Eric gave me a ball park and I said great and asked for the written estimate. Several weeks later it never showed up. I emailed the info email and never got a response. I texted Eric and a week later he called back.
