I enjoyed working w/ the employees of Stash. They all were personable, professional, punctual, courteous, & friendly! I enjoyed all of the employees, but especially: Scott, Ron, and John. Scott is organized & kept everything moving forward. Ron is an amazing drywaller/painter, & John is definitely an expert w/laying vinyl & carpet. I wouldn't give them any stars, but I have to give at least 1 to post. They were hired by my insurance company. They received payment in full from said insurance and never bothered to contact me to do the actual work. When I reached out to them they blamed it on me saying I hadn't signed a work release form. Which I had weeks earlier, even my insurance had a copy. They tried to tell my insurance that I hadn't signed the form which is why the delay. Wrong! Then they lied and told me that they had not received payment from the insurance. I had documents showing they had been. Then the guy I spoke to after a lot of phone tag asked me if I had another company lined up to do the work. No, you have been paid. Again he denied it. At that i was done and told them no thank you, I'll find someone else. Fast forward to 2 months later and I receive a bill for $435. I reached out again asking what the bill was for. Their response is for a tarp. $435 for a blue tarp i can get at Menards for less than $50. Not to mention the tarp they placed on the roof to stop a leak did not stop the leak. I would not give Stash Construction any stars, but you must have 1 star to post a review. If you are looking for a company that communicates with you in a timely manner--this is not it. We had a minor repair job that was a claim through our insurance company. Stash was paid UP FRONT for the work to be done-- 3 months later--we were still waiting-phone calls not returned, no messages left. Our insurance company withdrew the UP FRONT payment from Stash, and we are now looking for someone who actually wants to do the work. Do not use this company if you want your job to be done in a timely manner. Better yet, do not use them at all and save yourself the head aches. read more

I would like to say this is a positive review, unfortunately I can not. I am a 55 year old woman that doesn't know much about construction and Stash took advantage of it. This contract was an insurance claim on a 135 y.o. house. There were many things that need brought up to code, including plumbing. Instead of taking pictures and submitting them to my insurance company they had me pay for proper plumbing of the grey water, close to 8,000 that I didn't have. There date of completion was off my months, my house sat empty for weeks between crews. My insurance company was great, but Stash was incompetent to say the least. Between roof, plumbing and misc. I am approximately 40,000$ in the hole. read more

This is an honest and factual review.... I had minor roof damage that was weather related and the repair work was covered under my insurance. Keep in mind, it was a small roof repair job with less than $1500 in damages. Stash Construction was on my Insurance Company's roofing contractor's list and so I decided to give them a try. Freddie was sent by Stash as my estimator and he assured me they would be able to do the work in 3 weeks and that he'd send me an estimate. Instead of an estimate telling me their cost I received a 5 page contract followed by a text from someone named Kristy telling me to sign the document as quickly as possible. The first paragraph in the contract noted that their estimates are not free and if I didn't choose Stash to do the job I'd have to pay $200 for their estimate plus an additional 2% of whatever they estimated their final cost to be. This agreement was required even though I wouldn't know their final estimated cost until after they examined the roof. The contract was loaded with legal jargon that would have allowed them take serious advantage of me financially and possibly take legal control over my house. The contract was like me signing over a blank check over to them, it also gave them exclusive rights to negotiate and make repair decisions with their Insurance company without my input or agreement. They demanded to be listed as a payee for my insurance payments and that any and all checks should be mailed directly to them. They also stipulated that in addition to paying my insurance deductible to my insurance company, I had to also pay Stash an amount equal to the deductible and depreciation cost of the roof. They had the audacity to state that the repair work didn't have to start for 3 months and could take up to 365 days to complete and that I (as the owner) would have to pay a penalty of 18% for any delays that occurred. All of this for a very minor roof repair job, how ridiculous! After reading through their ridiculous contract I immediately knew that they were a bunch of crooks attempting to take financial advantage of me, an elderly single woman and senior citizen. I reported them to my insurance agent and hopefully they will investigate and remove Stash from the roofing repair companies recommended list if this is their standard practice. Stash Construction is a danger to the community, especially to single women, elderly, and anyone that appears vulnerable. Be wary when using Stash Construction or better yet, do yourself a favor and avoid them at all costs. By the way, I ended up finding a highly rated efficient and honest local roofing company that came to my house and gave a free estimate on the same day, they returned 2 days later and completed the work immaculately within 2 hours. read more

Stash Property Restoration has an entire page dedicated to Roof Repair & Maintenance. On this page they state (and I quote) "a thorough inspection, along with our roofing services, that they provide free roof repair estimates." However, when I called to request an estimate, the gentleman on the line stated that they were unable to provide an repair estimate, but can schedule an estimate for a full roof replacement. A round about statement that they do not do small repair jobs (or what they believe are small jobs). The company provided false and misleading information in my opinion. If a company does not actually provide a service they should not state that they do so on their website. read more

My family chose to go with this company to rehab and fix their bathroom. The company had various mishaps including ordering wrong flooring, cabinetry, sink, etc. My family has been living without any way to shower (the bathroom being worked on has only one full bath). There are also large boxes of the bathroom fixtures that the company ordered, but couldn't install due to the lack of floor tiles which was their mistake. This has been going on for months on end and my family has had to bath using a sink in the basement with a bucket. Recently the company said they could install the toilet. There was also an issue with parts for the toilet. They had to order new parts for and instead of re-capping or attempting to seal the issue with the piping or toilet flange, they just left it. Sewage smells are just seeping through the house even with the bathroom door closed. Causing my family to develop respiratory issues, headaches and general brain fog. I'm not sure how this is legal, but this company is a joke and if it was my decision I'd sue. Please either fix your company or close down until you can get your shit straight because you're ruining the lives of some of your customers and you should be ashamed. read more

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE CLOWNS. You will regret it if you do. They will not return emails or phone calls. They don't have enough basic courtesy or business sense to make a five minute call to acknowledge that you've contacted them. You can stack voice mail upon voice mail, but they don't care that you're already a customer, they just won't call you back. Week after week, they just keep ignoring you. Hey Stash guys - here's a simple exercise for you : consider how you would feel if you had problems in your home, following the repairs done by your contractor. But your contractor won't call you back. What should you do? Such a shame that you're unable to take pride in the work you do. It's just not that hard to treat customers with basic courtesy and respect. So pathetic. read more

We hired them to replace our shingles, gutters and canopy that got damaged due to hail. The shingles were done in a day by most likely undocumented workers that would catcall every time I came out of the house making it very uncomfortable to take my dogs out. They didn't say it wouldn't be them doing the gutter work or the canopy. So they hired a different company for those jobs. So when the gutters started leaking and the canopy wasn't properly fitted up to the gutters causing rain to come in it was hard getting ahold of the correct person to fix the problems. Canopy is fixed now but the gutters are still leaking. Our insurance agent advised us not to pay them until we were satisfied with their work. Well today they called my husband and left a message saying they put a lien on our house because we didn't pay them yet for their incomplete job. That was a nice message to wake up to.. We both were completely taken aback and started calling our insurance agent and the claims department to find out if this was legal for them to do without proper notice. So he called Stash back and come to find out they really didn't file a lien but in the process of if they don't receive their money. They don't care if the work is done right they just want their money. Their communication skills are terrible. Save yourself the stress and choose a different company. read more

I was pleased with the staff and the roofers my roof looks great. Only complaint was lack of communication a little. I was told it was in the process and they should he out within a week or so. And 2.5 weeks go by nothing. Sent 2 emails before getting an answer. But I know they said they had a lot of jobs going on. They did a great job though! read more
