Definitely could have been better service. It has been a while since I've been compelled to write a review. I came here after going to the Antelope Canyon Tour. We did the upper Antelope tour this time just to change it up. Out of the 28 restaurants in this quaint town, we landed here at State 48 Tavern based on the reviews and I did not go in with high hopes but was just hoping to have a decent burger. The hostess was great and greeted us and gave us our choice of seating which was nice. We ended up ordering the State 48 Burger along with the spicy Asian burger which the server gave great reviews on. I guess it's not good to always believe what the server says. My burger came out warm and messy, and fries extremely cold which told me that my food had been done cooking and just sitting around for a while. The hostess brought our food out, since it seems our food may have been in the kitchen for a while. Not once had the server come by to inquire if we needed more water or another drink. Not a fast eater, but we definitely finished eating all the while hearing the hostess talking to the table behind us for a good 20 minutes with people standing at the door, waiting to be acknowledged. We were hoping she would see us needing help, but I'm assuming the table behind were regulars. We had to flag someone else over to ask for our check and a to-go box, and that guy didn't even come back. Our server appeared and we had to ask for the the check and bag and then had to wait another ten minutes or so just to pay. We had flagged someone else down to run our card, and she told us we had to wait for our server. Would be nice if she was around, but i did count she had five other tables in which we got there before some of them and they were already gone long before we even got our food. Overall the experience was disappointing, but the canyon tour we went on earlier that day was great. Food was mediocre but then we only had burgers, so hopefully other things were better. This is hands down my favorite place to go in Page. The service is always great, food comes out in a timely manner, and the drinks are made to perfection. They have several tv's and a projector if you want to catch a game. They also have live music on occasion. It's great for families as well as the single traveler who can chill at the bar and enjoy making new friends. You can sit outside on the front patio and watch the sunset behind the vermillion cliffs. There's also a dart board, if that's your thing. I've been everywhere in town, and this place has the best vibe. Also, the owner is a great lay. 10/10 would recommend. read more

This tavern is a rustic vibe came here after a day of hiking. My husband and I was super hungry. Came in and was greeted right away the wait was about 20 min. Since it's a bar we played darts, def a plus to have games to kill time. They had outdoor and indoor dining, we sat inside at one of the booths. I ordered a sunset mule and sliders I had one of each pork and angus beef. My husband ordered the steak which came with a side of mashed potatoes and vegetables. The sliders was good. This place has plenty of parking so there's no issue there. We tried to make a reservation but they didn't allow this, not on the weekend anyway. I'm not sure about weekdays. We got here and it was very busy. We put our name down and had to wait about 30 minutes for a table. In the mean time we got a drink at the bar and played some darts which was available indoors. It definitely got chilly so I wouldn't recommend waiting outside. After a certain amount of time and getting tipsy on my cocktail, our table was ready. The cubano - high quality, it was made with shredded/pulled pork instead of the typical sliced pork. Shredded pork always makes for a tastier version of the Cuban. A lot of the meat was included which my fiancé was very happy about. Parmesan fries were also delicious and included in both of our meals. The cowboy burger - juicy and full of flavour. So surprised to find this gem whilst staying at a local glamping campsite (Under Canvas). After hiking all morning we decided to grab some lunch before heading to Horseshoe Bend. Really cool bar and restaurant - great food and beer options. We got the loaded fries and state 48 wings as starters. The fries had homemade BBQ sauce and cheese, which were filled with with a ton of flavor and absolutely delicious! Stopped here for dinner after viewing Horseshoe Bend. It was conveniently nearby & had a low wait time on a Saturday night. We waited 5-10 minutes and were seated inside at a booth (party of 4). The staff was amazing. And the restaurant was clean. The menu is kind of simple, but they were able to kind of accommodate me. So it may seem a little pricey with entrees, but they come with two sides and a soup. I have a very sensitive stomach and was able to get the grilled salmon that you usually pay for with a salad. It is a little small, but was thankful they did that for me. The loaded sweets were very tasty, but I asked for them without beans which they accommodated. I also ordered the rum punch which was very flavorful. My friends enjoyed the onion rings, loaded pork fries, and the cranberry walnut salad with the salmon and the jalapeño margarita. we loved the atmosphere and the staff. Once they knew I had a sensitive stomach they were sure to ask if other seasonings would be ok. We had to top of the night with dessert which is not listed on the menu. When this restaurant first opened, I gave it a rave review. It slid downhill for a little while, but it is back. The service couldn't have been better and the food was outstanding! One of the best spots in Page! To start get the fried avocados. I've gotten the sliders before and they were amazing and I've tried the strawberry chicken Brie melt which was something I haven't seen or tried before and I enjoyed it. I think this is one of the better options in Page. Servers were nice but food can out a little slow and might be hit or miss. Note, the burger patties are pretty thick. The menu says double patty smash burger, but it ended up being a bit too much meat for me as the balance was off. Good for some, less so for others, so just a heads up. I also got it on a pretzel bun, which was an excellent decision. The fries were good, definitely crispy and seasoned well. My friend had the jalapeño burger. I don't remember the actual name of it on the menu but I tried it and even told him I liked his better. I was nervous to order it because not only did it have jalapeños but it had jalapeño jelly as well and I was worried it's be overly spicy. The pub carne asada fries the perfect mix of somewhat trashy while tasting clean. Interesting sauces, better than average fries if not exceptional, and good portions and ingredients. We split the cowboy burger and really enjoyed that, and took the side of sweet potato fries to work into a breakfast scramble the next morning. I got the pomegranate coconut mojito because it seemed interesting and found it unique and enjoyable. If I buy a cocktail I want it to be something I'm not just going to make myself. :) Service was kinda perfect. This is THE PLACE!!! My mouth is actually watering as I think back at my experience at State 48 Tavern. The food was yummy and the people treated us like family. While spending the weekend in Lake Powell my friends and I planned to eat out at a few places. This place was by far the best. We loved the giant screen as we cheered on our Utah Jazz. We found this gem after a long hike at the antelope and the horse shoe bend. I ordered a spicy margarita and my brother and friend got blueberry beers, so yummy!! For appetizers we had the wings and ordered a bunch of sauces to try, we got the loaded fries and I have to say those were the best loaded fries I ever had in my life!!! The green avocado sauce was amazing. I ordered the salmon with mash potatoes and asparagus and everything was cooked to perfection! My brother got the cowboy burger and I had to slide in his plate and try that too, so good. Our server Levi was very friendly and made sure we were extremely taken care off. After dinner we enjoyed a beer at the bar and the bartender was also extremely generous, his name was Derek. Thank you guys for making me and my guests have a great evening in this beautiful town. The Strawberry salad seemed to get rave reviews, but the flavors fell a little short for me. I was really expecting more, but it was just ok. Not something i'd order again.
