Omg . I used this misbegotten service twice . Two times too many . I expect very little from a car service : punctuality, clean/ moderately new vehicle, and a courteous driver. I got one: nice driver . Pick up was late : "a lot of traffic ". Serious ? Ur a shuttle company . Look at traffic on ur phone , u fools . Vehicles: looked 10+ years old , and showed every minute of their long tired sad lives . I honestly thought " I hope this thing has brakes " Parking faculty in Wall: O. M. F. G: Dirty . Filthy . Tattered . Messy looking office . Overflowing dumpsters. Nasty . Like I'm surprised rodents didn't move into my car while it was parked there. I have used State Shuttle several times when I have gone to visit my daughter in Farmingdale NJ and they have always gotten me to the airport in plenty of time. I have been very satisfied with their service. I am very happy that there is a shuttle to Farmingdale NJ to and from Newark Airport. I am a bit dismayed however that the pricing has gone up drastically since I used them over a year ago. The good thing is that I will be dropped off at my destination rather than a location in town Farmingdale. And the truth is that they were very cheap before so I should not be surprised at the higher pricing. read more

HORRIBLE!! We rented a 52 person coach bus for our wedding. It was raining outside which apparently meant it rained in the bus. Myself and almost every other person on the bus became soaking wet! The seats were covered in garbage bags and we were only allowed to use about 42 seats so all the guests had to squish together. The breaks were horrible and the driver admitted they were. The air didn't work either. And a guest lost a cellphone on the bus and when we called, the operator was so rude and had a huge attitude! This company is disgusting and should be ashamed of themselves!! The company gave us a 50% refund and apologized but honestly it doesn't do much considering how embarrassing and ridiculous this was. My wedding was this past November let me tell you State Shuttle had the best customer service!! They answered all my questions and worked with me to find the best deal for my wedding. The driver, so mad I didn't get his name (my head was everywhere) because he was the best! He offered to wait for my bridal party because we were running late from getting hair done. He was very patience and offered to pick up a few girls I had to leave at hotel finishing hair. Even though I didn't need that it was great to have that option!! I had a poor experience on 12/28 with State Shuttle. I was picked up at 4:20pm at Newark Airport at terminal A. The driver picked up another couple at Terminal B. We headed down the parkway. The driver passed up my exit 98 and continued to a Toms River exit. I asked him who decided this route and he said the dispatcher. We arrived in Toms River, dropped off the couple and got back on the parkway! I got home at 6:45pm! I called State Shuttle using the drivers phone to make a complaint. I was not pleased with the responses from the two women to whom I spoke that evening. Needless to say I won't be using State Shuttle in the future. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Terrible, terrible, terrible. I used them twice and both times I was given a lame excuse for their extreme lateness. On the first occasion, I let it go thinking every company has a bad day. On the second occasion, I realized that this company just doesn't care about customer service. They are just looking for a way to take your money without providing the appropriate service. When the driver finally arrived 45 minutes after scheduled pickup and in a car too small to hold four passengers, he told us that he informed the dispatcher that there was no way that he could get to us on time. He also shared that he told the dispatcher the car was too small. The dispatcher told him to go anyway. I tried to resolve the issue with the "owner" who promised to look into it and call me back. A week later, still no call. I called again and was told they would return the phone call that day. Still nothing. Save yourself a headache...DO NOT USE THIS POORLY RUN COMPANY! read more

Geographic necessity and the aging of parents and sister compelled me to use this disastrous service often over the past 20 years, especially before NJT put a train stop at EWR. They have never been clean, efficient or reliable, except in rare instances, but their horrific treatment of my sister (who cannot take the train due to age and illness) has finally driven me to say that I will never use their services again. I will be brief, lest I waste more of my time than I already have in dealing with them. The "limo" was a filthy, beaten up, cigarette-smelling heap with torn up carpet and seats. They parked way away from the terminal and failed to carry my sisters carry on. The driver blasted Russian-language radio and music the whole time without consulting her. The "AC," as it were barely worked, and the trip started with the windows open. Worst of all, I paid for the trip in advance--a ridiculous $170--and yet the driver tried to collect from my sister, even getting out of the car and berating here in front of her friends sitting outside of disability housing for not paying. Evidently the clerk who took my reservation marked it as "will pay cash" instead of charging my card as I had instructed them. I complained to no fewer than 3 people and finally got a manager to ask another manager who asked an owner, and they gave me $20.40 off--the price of the tip. What an insult. I am from Jersey originally, so I know the way of the world, but even according to our rough standards, this is a low class, filthy and incompetent operation. I will never use them again unless I hear that the company has been bought and remade in every aspect, from reception to the cars themselves. Please, take a bus, take a cab (where expectations are consonant with results), take the train, and do not expect a limo from State to be any more than a broken down old heap, rudely administered, careless of customer satisfaction. read more

I booked the wedding shuttle service which was supposed to be continuous service for 8 hours bringing guests back and forth to hotel and venue. I confirmed with Carol that the driver needed to make more than 1 trip the week before my wedding. The day of the wedding the driver didn't go back to pick up my passengers. I had to call the dispatcher in my dress and spoke to multiple people and they all told me it would take at least an hour to get a shuttle to the hotel to get the rest of my guests and this was after my cocktail hour ended. My guests had to take cabs and I was embarrassed and my whole wedding had to be delayed. I called a few days after my wedding to get a refund and tried to work something out with Becky, I told her I would pay a prorated amount for the hours I actually did get service and she tried to charge me the full amount for a one way trip which was like $300+ 15% gratuity each way!! That's ridiculous. So now I am disputing the charge. I was so mad because I called the week before to confirm to try to avoid this very situation. There is no communication between the dispatchers and the drivers and the dispatchers are rude. The entire company is extremely disorganized. Absolutely horrible service. Got a call the DAY before my scheduled flight informing me that this shuttle service was "drop off only". Nowhere on the website does it say this. You are under the impression that you are able to leave your car there. Not only did this complicate my travel plans but the woman on the phone who assisted me was extremely nasty. On my returning flight home, I was scheduled to be picked up at 5pm by the shuttle. Not only was I told the next available shuttle would be at 6pm... he didn't show up until 6:45!!!! Family booked for use to and from Newark airport. When we landed (on time) there was no driver. "Steve" the dispatcher told us to wait in the pick up area. After 15 minutes, still no driver. Now we were told that the driver was at McDonald's and locked himself out the car, but another car was sent to help him (not pick us up). Finally after two more calls to "Steve" the dispatcher he admitted to having a van at the airport dropping someone else off that could pick us up. I had reservations with Olympic state shuttle to pick me up at the airport. They told me I would be a midnight pick up due to the time my plane landed. I was at ground transportation by 11:45pm. It was empty. I couldn't call state shuttle directly because I forgot their number. So I called my son to look up their number and tell them I was here. My son called me back and said they stop picking up at 11:30pm and they tried to call me. The dispatcher told my son that no one would be coming. I am almost 70 years old, I had 2 pieces of luggage and a service dog. I had to take a taxi home at the cost of $129.50. I have spoken and even wrote to state shuttle many times. They refuse to make this right. They said I chose to take a taxi. But they never offered me any alternative. Now they state they are not even going to refund my prepaid amount for my trip home. What is less than 1 star? First off...their website is "www.olympicairporter.com" Apparently they changed names 6 years ago and reference it nowhere on their email or written confirmation. The van to the airport had no markings indicating the company. It was nice enough and since it was 6:00 AM, we knew it was for us. The driver could not stay in a lane to save his life- scary! The ride home on a cold, foggy Saturday night...dispatcher told us what door to meet the driver- never mentioned that the van would say "State Shuttle ." We called again and the dispatcher said he's been around 3x looking for us...in a State Shuttle van. The driver- came at me with horrific attitude!!! As if this was the customer's fault. After a brief screaming match...we got on the road. He drove well enough...the van had a low tire pressure light and check engine light on...not comforting. Called dispatch...HE gave attitude and claims it was our fault for not knowing the company name. Never again! Driver apologizes at tip time...I don't think so. I repeat...never again! read more
