The food here was excellent, and the waitress was friendly and efficient. My only complaint is on the printed bill handed to us by the waitress, in tiny print it showed a 3.5% surcharge if you want to use your credit card. This was not anywhere else - not on the door, nor on the menu. This needs to be better displayed. Very hard to see just on the bill. If you don't have good eyes or weren't looking for it, you won't see it. Thank you. read more

It's a noisy smallish restaurant with a neighborhood bar. The service was great. The food was so very good. I ordered a Reuben Sandwich. The Reuben was as good as ANY delicatessen. My friend had a prime rib as it was the special that day plus he loves prime rib and he enjoyed it immensely. We will be back. read more

We went for our 1st time this evening for our 47th anniversary...we were very pleased. Our waitress, Jamie( I spelt her name right!) was a true gem !!! All restaurants should have at least 1 like her, from the start of us being seated to the end of our meal she was so attentive and extremely pleasant/ polite !! Our meals were very good & plentiful, hubby had the haddock meal, I had a grilled chicken meal with fresh steamed veggies & delicious rice pilaf, so good !!! We tried this restaurant, at first things were great, but suddenly one day, things changed. Went in for dinner, ordered a fish dinner, got fish fingers which had very little fish in enach finger, Paid the price for a dinner and got an appetizer! The staff would do nothing to correct the problem; told me to come back to talk to the manager when they come in. What kind of customer service is that, can't help you, but you can come back later!!!! Have not been back since and have intention of going back, don't like overpaying for fried breading and no fish. read more

We were heading to another restaurant for lunch but it was closed. I remembered seeing some thing about another place in Bunnell. We spotted this place. Friendly feeling when you walk in the door. We sat at the bar, and looked over a large selection of items & the days specials. My wife got the grilled cheese w/ bacon & tomato, I ordered french dip. We both got cole slaw, that's made there. The food was so super tasty & the cole slaw was beyond great. Tap beer is nice & cold. I'm writing this & wishing I was back there today for lunch. Tonight Larry and I ventured west of here to a little place, Southside Grille LLC, in Bunnell. When we walked in we felt like we stepped back in time! The staff greeted us and sat us right away. Donna our waitress was such a pleasure to chat with and she answered all of our foodie questions. I ordered a yuengling and Larry ordered an Arnold Palmer, then we asked what was the best appetizer, and Donna, didn't skip a beat and suggested the Fire Jack Shrimp! Damn they were good! Perfectly cooked, with a crunch while smothered in a habanero sweet chili sauce! Priced at $8! Delicious and easy on the wallet! Larry then ordered the most delicious wedge salad ever! Made with romaine lettuce instead of iceberg and the lettuce itself was even seasoned! It was big enough for 2 and every bite was fantastic. Moving on to the entrees, I ordered the Queen cut prime-rib($22) with mashed potatoes and green beans, cooked and seasoned to perfection, and the mashed taters were not only homemade but they rivaled mine. Larry had the black and blue burger with HANDCUT fries and after every bite he raved about it. We took the cheesecake and wings home for football. This place is a must try, delicious home cooking and so comforting. They don't just have a cook, they have a chef that loves what he does and it shows! Thank you Donna for the great service. Not sure why we didn't visit this place sooner. Went to Southside Grille to celebrate my moms birthday. Our server was Tiffany and she did a great job. She was friendly, attentive, and didn't stop moving. I had the special surf and turf and my filets were cooked to perfection and the flavors were spot on! Although I prefer larger scallops they were sufficient and shrimp had great flavor as well. Another special tried was their snapper. Seriously the best snapper I've ever tasted. Two of the four of us had the grouper sandwich. Lightly breaded and perfectly cooked. All of our sides were tasty as well and we all said, we'd like to come back and try some of their other offerings. There prices were very reasonable and I look forward to another meal at Southside Grille. read more

AMAZING! Honestly- we are hard to please. My family of 5 found this place on Yelp as we drove through. The food was EXCELLENT. we didn't even get pictures because we dove head first into our plates. we got the fried mahi sandwich, the blackened mahi sandwich, the mussels, wings, and a fried chicken salad. I honestly couldn't find one thing wrong. Even the plating was beautiful! We love hole in the wall mom and pop places and this is one you have to stop at! Disappointment--I ordered an END CUT of their prime rib and received a King cut, which had very little taste. The kitchen or wait staff places the foil wrapped butter into the sliced baked potato. When you open the foil wrap, LIQUID butter leaks onto your hands. If you don't use three or four napkins to remove liquid butter from your hands, be prepared to hold a greasy knife and fork. After reading the wonderful reviews about Southside Grille my wife and I decided to take a 40 mile trip to have lunch there today. We were each looking forward to having the Southside Lobster Salad which looked amazing on a couple of pictures posted of it on Yelp. All I can say is that the salad far exceeded what our expectations were. The salads were huge with very generous portions of lobster meat and shrimp salad a top mixed greens, with roasted red peppers, hearts of palm, and chunks of mangoes found throughout the salad. The mango vinaigrette dressing was delicious and had a hint of jalapeño pepper in it. One of the best salads ever! As a bonus we were taken care of at the restaurant by Jane, who made our first experience at this establishment a very pleasant one. Was definitely well worth the drive. read more

The fries weren't good, first order of fries I haven't finished in my life,and I'm 64, way to greasy, the oil oozed out of them. What a great find on a stopover off I95 Exit 284? Flagler Beach SR100. Desk clerk said drive east to A1A beachfront Road. Turn right. All sorts of eating places. Pier looked good but was PACKED so we looked further & saw this little spot. Service amazing and friendly and food over the top in quality and quantity! See pics.
