Incredible birthday dinner last night! New menu items for August are wonderful! Love the blooming onion filet. Dad loved the truffle pork chop and my partner loved the seafood pasta. Great service as always at dinner. It was my birthday and they kindly gave me a chocolate berry torte at the end! Such a sweet surprise.

From great service to great food. Everyone was super friendly and I really enjoyed my brunch. The bloody Mary was excellent! There was some confusion on my order and it was fixed immediately. I can't wait to come back and sit on their patio, it looked super cute!

We had a lovely dining experience at State Street Market. The tamale with white chocolate mole sauce was the hands down winner of our table, but the Asian fusion shrimp, bone in pork chops, and Moroccan salmon dishes were all excellent. The drinks were made and served to perfection. The wait staff were friendly and helpful. We will definitely return to this restaurant when we are in the area.

What a nice little spot for drinks and dinner in downtown Alton! We sat at the copper bar for drinks. Didn't order food but everything looked great coming out of the kitchen. This place is a bit upscale with a nice patio out back and plenty of room in the dining room. They also sell high quality wines. Great place to go for a date or take your parents/family out for a nice dinner!

From the start, our Host was super friendly, welcoming and answered all your questions expertly. The menu is extensive and we had A LOT of food. One needs to look it over online first to get an idea what you'll have. We shared most of it between four of us. Highlights were the Questo de Cabra, which was Baked Goat Cheese in one of the tastiest thick and rich mariana style tomato sauces I've had with thin crusty Garlic Bread Pieces lightly toasted to perfection. The Albondigas, Pork and Beef Meatballs were absolutely delicious. A huge pile of Calamares Fritos, Fried Calamari was done perfectly crisp. It came with an aioli sauce, but we dipped them in the tomato sauce that came with the Goat Cheese. Excellent. A wonderful and oh so tasty Paella de Carne, Meat Paella was the main dish and it was as good as I've had in Spain if not better. For dessert, the Tres Leches, Spanish Milk Cake was exquisite and hard to describe outside of heaven on a plate. This is a place you can go to for a special occasion, or just to chill with family and friends. One thing for certain, we'll be back!

We're not regulars by any stretch of the imagination, but we've been here a number of times over the years. Sometimes it's just my husband and me, sometimes family members join us, and we've brought friends here as well. Nobody has ever not been happy they came here! We had a reservation and were greeted and seated right away. They have a big blackboard where they write the special drinks of the day, so I always have to check that out! They have small plates and entrees there. We almost always do all small plates. The exception is the shrimp and grits because we really like it! This time we did all small plates. The stuffed portabellini mushrooms were a newer menu item and they were SO good! I could have ordered more of those and been fine without anything else! Our next favorite was the oven baked goat cheese. We literally get it every time we come here and it's always delicious. Then we had the Nashville Chicken Sliders. They're good, but nothing super special. Our last item was the short rib street tacos. I'll just say we won't order them again. They weren't bad, but they were lacking in flavor. My cocktail was from the specials list. It was the Bitter Bonfire - made with mezcal - and it was so good! I think my husband had a Manhattan. We will, of course, be back again!

Note that they have a max of 8 people per reservation without doing special menu/private room. Idol wolf is located in the 21c hotel and museum. It is stunningly beautiful, and definitely a great place for girls night with tons of photo ops. Despite it being a busy Saturday, we were able to find nearby parking pretty easily, The service was excellent, and food came out fast despite the dining room being mostly full. They have a unique cocktail program--I sampled most of my friend's drinks (my favorite was the Strawberry Balsamic gin tonic). However, I ordered the shakeajillio, which was pretty basic espresso martini, not my favorite I've ever had, but just so-so. Every single person in my party was absolutely blown away with the food. We tried several of the tapas and shared as a table, my absolute favorites are as follows (in order): 1. Agnolotti - this one surprised me, but the pasta may have been the best I've ever had. It was the perfect thickness and had just enough bite, filled perfectly full of creamy goat cheese, and swimming in a perfectly balanced sauce. 2. Brussel Sprouts - hands down the best I've had. Crisped perfectly, with a tart and acidic glaze, loaded with toppings. I could NOT stop eating them, long after I was full. 3. Tuna on Toast - this was a popular one for the whole table--very unexpected but so, so good. The charred bread with a super soft interior that it came on was fabulous as well. This is also the only tapa I got a picture of. We also got the patatas bravas, Spanish Caesar, beef carpaccio, gambas Al ajillo, and chorizo white wine mussels--all also great, except for the carpaccio which was a little salty for my taste. It's worth noting that the portions are larger than I expected, WELL worth the price! One friend opted for a full size entree, and she went for the strip steak which she absolutely loved. If you haven't been, you simply MUST GO. Idol Wolf is easily one of my favorite restaurants in the whole city after just one visit. You've got a fan for life!

The interior is dimly lit and well decorated, making for some great photos while you wait for food and drinks! My partner and I got a large variety of of dishes to try out. Couple of highlights include the agnolotti pasta, the beef carpaccio, the croquettas, and my lemon drop! The agnolotti was a great mix of creamy, sweet and savory. The Jamon croquettas were like an elevated mozzarella stick, could not go wrong with those. The Spanish style lemon drop has to be one of my fave drinks on this Earth. It takes your classic tart lemon drop with a kick of hot honey that just adds OOMPH to the drink. While we did not get a dessert, our amazing server treated us to cotton candy to finish of the meal. He was a great help picking out the dishes and was very prompt to fill our water and take away dirty plates.

Though, the music didn't exactly match the same vibe. It sorta felt like I was in a nightclub in Spain. We thought the food was delicious overall and ordered the branzino, pan con tomate, meatballs, sangria, house salad, and flan for dessert. It seemed each table got some crusty bread for a starter, but we found it a bit odd it didn't come with any oil, butter or something. Each dish was shareable (small plates except the entrees were bigger) which made it a more fun, shared experience, and we got to try several different things before getting full. I'd never had branzino and thought all the dishes were very good and would order all again, but I would go with a different salad choice. The service was good, but not great for the price point. Since it was our first time visiting and several items were in Spanish, I felt the server could have provided a bit more guidance to the menu offerings and concept. Considering the meal for two ended up being well over $100 I was expecting a higher level of service. Overall, I think it's a great little restaurant in Clayton for a special occasion or date night. It's pricey for sure, but I think the menu offerings are unique, and the dark cozy vibe made me feel like I wasn't even in St. Louis.
