100% SCAM!! After a long wait and no answers of when we could expect our belongings? It arrived yesterday, with a ridiculous amount of damage. As I continue to open boxes, I am shocked at the lack of thought & care, of how 1/2 of our stuff (not clothing) was piled in giant "Wardrobe" boxes, crushing things at the bottom. Many things that could have been protected by wrap, packing paper or just proper placement, were not. Resulting in damage & ruin. Even Furniture that was wrapped in moving blankets & tape, got damaged, obviously though how it was packed in truck. I would say roughly one out of eight corners was at least harshly scuffed, or broken. A very sturdy, high quality night stands top was crushed. At the tail end of our move, the Packers lied to us and told us it was going to cost an extra $3,000 & not all going to fit on the truck. What was the priority? Then one of them privately took my husband to the side and told him if we tipped them each $200 they wouldn't say anything. At that point they stopped boxing & wrapping things, absolutely treating our things carelessly. Then with no problem, they were able to get all of it on the truck. I did a walk-through and found odds and ends all through the house, in every room they left random stuff. After they drove off, I saw scattered all over my driveway, parts and pieces of our belongings and I'm not exaggerating. The foreman that delivered it, told us that we were not over in square footage. These poor Unpackers, including me, and my husband had to open EVERY box we had for well over an hour to find the legs to our bed, that we're not labeled, or even with other Master Bedroom things. I realize that the company itself is not responsible for the racket that your employees try to pull, but you're absolutely responsible for hiring professional movers, that can pack and transport our belongings without ruining them all! I took pictures and videos of everything as we unwrapped it and we will be sending in a detailed report of all the damages. I obviously understand that accidents happen and didn't expect for everything to show up in perfect condition, but this is beyond ridiculous!!! read more

I just used Statewide Moving for my third move in Hightstown (my son was moving from our home to his own place) and I wouldn't use anyone else in town. For one thing, I like to use local businesses when I can and I also already knew that they are professional, reasonably priced and know exactly how Hightstown works for pesky little things like parking, etc. I arranged the move with the company's owner, Mike, a few weeks before we expected to close. I ordered the "No Parking" signs from the City for the move date as he instructed. At the last minute, it looked as if the closing, which was scheduled for the day before the move, might not happen due to one of those homebuying hiccups that can happen. I was afraid to tell Mike that we might have to reschedule only two days before our planned moving day. I figured he'd tell me that he'd have to charge me for the lost time, etc. and that we wouldn't be able to reschedule for at least another week. Mike's response? "No big deal. Just let me know when you're ready to move and we'll do it. He told me that, this stuff happens all the time but I am pretty sure that most movers would charge to reschedule at the last minute"!! Fortunately, things worked out so that my son could move on the date we'd planned. My son, who is a musician, was very nervous about his (expensive) music equipment being moved safely to a 4th floor walkup. But when I asked him how things had gone when they got to his new place, he told me that they were fast and VERY careful and that I should write them a good review (not something he usually thinks about). Last month I used Statewide to move to my new apartment. The majority of my items were in a storage unit but a few items were where I was living. First, when I contacted them via Angi's list, the manager was very polite and promptly gave me a quote to move my storage unit to my new apartment. Due to unforeseen events, I had to add some items from the place I was staying. No issues, the quote was adjusted and resent via email. On the day, the crew called me prior to leaving their facility. Jason, the foreman along with Javier and Brett were fast and efficient. They gather all my things in the house, packed up, met me at the storage unit. Within 30 minutes we were on the road to my new apartment. The truck was unload within the specified time. Jason made sure my bed and kitchin table were set up correctly prior to his leaving. They completed the job ten minutes early. I truly would recommend them to anyone and will use them in the future if needed. Hopefully this team will still be around. Good help is hard to find! OUTSTANDING...from the first call to their office and all throughout the moving process. The offic staff was professional and helpful. The movers were obviously very experienced, efficient and professional. I packed up all of my own glassware, dishes etc. I clearly marked the boxes "fragile". Everything was handled with care with NO damage to anything. I was so impressed with the way they disassembled my beds and then put them back together. Thats was so helpful. I also had a Baby Grand piano to be moved. They did all the disassembly and carefully placed it on their equipment after wrapping it all up in their padding. Upon delivery they reassembled it. The chief mover told me they move pianos all the time. They knew what they were doing. I was so impressed with their service I recommended them to a family menber who was also moving and they gave them a fantastic price. I truly wish I had known about State Wide Moving and Storage before I relocated since they could have made the experience so much easier for me. We came across SW after searching for multiple companies in the region and not only were they professional but their pricing was also reasonable. I used State-Wide to move back to NJ from NY last week. Moving in and out of the city can be a headache but they provided a certificate of insurance for my building and covered the floors in the lobby. The truck arrived on time, despite city traffic and I was impressed with how quickly the wrapped up moved everything out. These guys did a great job! The only issue that arose was a heavy piece of furniture that took some damage while moving down a staircase because it wouldn't fit in the elevator. When I called the office about this, Loren explained the insurance process clearly. He told me it was covered under the standard valuation insurance but they usually exceed that amount to help cover the cost of repairs. I have since received a reimbursement well over the standard valuation amount. I am very pleased with their overall service and would definitely use them again! read more

I recently used State Wide Moving & Storage for my move from NYC to New Jersey and overall, they did a great job. They provided a certificate of insurance for my building,, covered the lobby floors to protect them and arrived right on time, despite NYC traffic. The crew worked efficiently and had everything packed up and out surprisingly fast. One of my furniture that was damaged while being carried down the stairs(it wouldn't fit in the elevator). That said, when I called the office, Loren was great, he explained the insurance process clearly and let me know they often go beyond the standard coverage.. These guys were awesome. Loren provided fast efficient service when he actually answered the phone and then came out to provide a quote for an office move. Then moving day came and his team showed up pretty close to on-time :) and went over some paperwork w/ the boss. Then the guys got into it all [3] of them Kevin, Anthony and Henry were exceptionally polite, competent and quick. They did take their time to carefully box and move heavy and awkward equipment but they mad it look easy. There really impressed my boss too. Since he is real estate attorney we will definitely be sending recommendations their way. Mike and his crew did an excellent job relocating my home to a storage unit. I had some concerns that I would not be able to fit all the contents, yet they got everything in the truck safely and securely. They packed the storage the entire house into a 10X20 storage unit, so I didn't have to rent another smaller unit. They were hard working and quick, they got a full house and outdoor furniture into the storage unit within 6 hours. There are no hidden fees, they tell you in the emails what costs will be, wrapping, etc. and were very reasonable price wise. I will be using them again once the purchased of my new home is complete and we have to move from storage to the new home. read more

I used statewide on December 9th. Moving from a house to storage in Pa. I thought Jason,Joe and Andre were great. But when my son and a friend went to move the the contents to my house on December 23 I was shocked. They scratched or gouged 2 hutch's, dinning table, kitchen table, coffee table,2 end tables, tv cabinet. They broke 4 cane chairs and 1 antique rocking chair. When I called and spoke to Mike he blamed my son and told me they have damaged things in the past but never that amount. No compensation or apologies were offered. We moved from Hamilton Square N.J. to Bowie, Md. After speaking with one other moving company, we decided on Statewide Moving in Hightstown. They provided tips for us when we were given a quote. The workers arrived on time, made sure that our floors were protected, and also helped us pack up items that weren't quite secure. I've never had a more positive moving experience! We encountered what was probably the worst weather imaginable and everything was still perfect. Coordination in the lead up, and then on the day,was very good to excellent. They were always available to discuss and update our inventory.. I can't price the professionalism of this company enough. I needed to move a four-bedroom house, which included big wardrobes and lots of fragile knick-knacks. They brought an entire team of movers, each with a specific role. One person just worked on wrapping breakables, another focused on disassembling furniture, and the driver kept track of the load balance in the truck.
