Just do it, don't read my review any further or anyone else's, this is the real deal BBQ. Sammich comes with no sauce on the meat, as it should. The sauces are so good that you have to use them. The meat is flavorful and could go without, but that spicy and that mustard both demanded to be placed on my meat and buns. My sweet potato fries were good and the ranch was outlandish, has to be made in house. Service was quick and kind. The restaurant is clean and nice, even the bathroom. Again, just go get some good southern barbecue. read more

We eat there often and they have Great food at a satisfying prices, but poor setting.

The employees of this BBQ place weren't wearing masks or gloves. The payment system was not contactless, as I was handed a pen and clipboard. In 9 months of the pandemic, they haven't figured out a contactless payment system and they're making no attempt at being safe or responsible. I would say just avoid this business. Their BBQ wasn't the worst, but it wasn't the best either, so no great loss. Therefore, I'll never be back. read more

This Bar-B-Que joint is first rate! Let's get this out of the way up front. It's at an interstate exit you'd not be looking for, with no billboards to alert you. I mean, who'd be looking for Tallapoosa, Georgia unless there on business?! First off, it's a very clean place inside and outside, with good restrooms. The staff is friendly and I believe owner manager types are up front or nearby. Ordering was easy, concise, and manager even let me taste the special recipe Brunswick Stew (which was awesome and unique but a dieting person has limits), before I finished ordering. I settled on the Diablo sandwich, baked beans, and home fries. This sandwich is prime rib, prepared like a philly cheese sandwich, and so delicious, especially jazzed up with the cheese, onions, & peppers. Beans and fries off the chain too. The wife had pulled pork, green beans, and corn nuggets. All the sides were fresh and delicious, and the meats good quality and fresh. If I could give 4.5 on rating I would, but I can't go 4 stars and here's why. This place is great in most all of its facets except for one, the meat is not smoked as I feel a true BBQ place should be, and I imagine they are trying to accommodate all American sub-cultures by allowing the traditional and 'spicy folks' to add their sauce making it bar-b-cue in that Avenue or vein. Their sauce is good now, so with quality fresh meat and sauced down, it was a great BBQ sit down. It's well worth the try and I'm sure you won't be disappointed. A new BBQ place and my first impressions. I was happy to see a drive through first off. The young lady that took my order was very polite and professional. I was able to see all the way through the food prep area from the drive up window and everyone in the back was wearing gloves and appeared to be very clean. The kitchen also looked well kept. I got my food well within the time it would have taken at a lesser fast food restaurant next door which impressed me. I broke tradition and went with something other than BBQ on the first visit because the prime rib sandwich on the sign looked amazing. Judging from the amazing smokey smell coming from the parking lot I had high hopes! The prime rib sandwich was very good and had just the right amount of smoke flavor without being over powering. it reminded me of a Philly steak only much better with the smoke flavor and higher quality meat. You must order the fries separate but get a "large drink" when you order fries too. The fries portion was generous and were ok... nothing special. The sauce came separate in a small cup and was a sweet but tangy flavor. Not sure if they have others. My only minor complain was the "large" drink. Most people would consider a medium at best. Maybe they should add an extra large.... all and all a very minor thing. If you like a lot of drink you may want to grab one at the store next door. I hope to update on the next couple of trips where I will make a point to have the BBQ sandwich and ribs. Total cost for prime rib sandwich, fries and large coke was like $13 and change I think. read more

Man we were glad we stopped here. First of all the logo features a hog in human clothes smoking next to the American flag. In bbq scoring this is equivalent as a designated hitter in baseball. This place is fantastic! I had a pulled pork sandwich and a side of coleslaw. I kind of regret not going for the pork platter, but I can't blame them for me not ordering enough food. The pork was tender and delicious. It had a wonderful smoke flavor. The pork is definitely in one of my top five all time. Would have been great with an eastern Carolina sauce. I'll bring my own next time. But the meat was so good that I happily ate it without a sauce. The slaw was good too. I loved the atmosphere. Picnic tables and a casual feel. Maybe not the right place for a first date, but an awesome place for a family meal. read more

My family and I stopped here headed back home from a trip to GA and I'm so glad we found this spot. Everything I ordered was incredible (Ribs, mac n cheese, potato salad, and Brunswick stew). The ribs were fall off the bone succulent and my absolute favorite thing there was the Brunswick stew. It's exactly like my great-grandmother made and I've NEVER found a restaurant that made it like she does. We stopped here on our way home from the beach and were very pleasantly surprised. The service was fast and friendly. The girls working the counter were happy to help us navigate the menu and offered their suggestions. The pork and ribs were amazing. Macaroni was just like my grandma made. A nice surprise was the spicy corn nuggets. Very good!! And the Brunswick Stew was delish. It had a secret ingredient that I still can't put my finger on that set it apart from others. Great pulled pork! I love that I can add the exact amount of sauce myself. The sandwich and fries comes with a free drink. The portion of meat on the sandwich feeds me twice. You have to try the smoked wings too. OMG. I love the hickory fries: fresh cut potatoes like you make at home. This is not fast food; just so you know, but worth the wait. I have been coming here almost everyday their open after I tried the smoked chicken for the first time a month or so ago. Everyone I talk to, I have recommended them to go try this chicken. We stopped after a full day at Yogi Bear Jellystone Park. The restaurant is clean and very well kept. They have a ton of cool memorabilia on the walls. They also have patriotic and pro-police signs on the wall which I loved. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The food was fantastic. Be sure and try the spicy corn nuggets. Had to have som bbq today and decided to try this place out Read some reviews before climbing the hill from the pilot parking lot I order a half slab of ribs with baked beans and mac&cheese One guy said the Mac and cheese was awful He was wrong apparently he was used to the commercial processed stuff This was home made like grandma used to do it mac&cheese baked and all The beans were good but could use a little improvement ie more spice and a bit thicker Now for the ribs This was definitely a good choice I bit on the pricey side but a good choice indeed Very very meaty the rub had a good flavor and was cooked to perfection I did not sample any of their sauces as the ribs stood out on their own and didn't really need anything else I think if they served garlic toast rather than just the regular piece that came with the meal would have been I nice add to the flavor of the meal All in all a good place to stop 1/2 rack with 2 sides and a drink was a tad over $18 I walked out pleasantly full Stop here if you get a chance read more

Found this gem on our trip back to Atlanta from Birmingham. Very tender and tastey prime rib sandwich, smoked salad and daughter enjoyed the hotdog.
