Stopped by tonight to get some flowers. The posting lot and inside of the store was very clean. The lines were very short tonight and the cashiers were moving quickly. When I went to choose the flowers I wanted there wasn't much to choose from and they were very one . Almost everything had sunflowers in it which is why I gave them 4 out of 5 stars today. Hello, Stater Brothers is more expensive compared to other grocery stores , but I usually go there because the customer service is always exceptional. It amazes me that even young generations are willing to make eye contact with customers and provide great service. Today , I was waiting in the second line for 15 items or less . The cashier that was helping us was by herself. Another employee came in quickly and signaled the lady at the end of the line to pay for her 1 or 2 items while the rest of us kept waiting. He helped her in the first register next to main entrance and left. Probably , they were relatives , friends , etc. I don't know.That just looked bad . In January 2026 I had a seizure that was quite unexpected. My Husband was with me and due to m fragile emotional state I had brought our little dog with us. From what my Husband told me I knew something was wrong and told him I had to sit. Apparently the store staff phoned 911 and a member of the public turned me in recovery position to avoid aspiration in case. Anyway-the store was great in assisting my Husband and for that I am deeply grateful. The one part that stinks is that the ambulance took me to an out of network hospital and I am now fighting the copayment because I am not able to work and have no income whatsoever. read more

The only reason why I'm giving 2 stars is the store is clean the cashiers are not very friendly they act like You're bothering them when you ask a question ,but more importantly the last 3 times. I have gone there the fruit is not good. I think the take the good fruit and cut it up and sell for double price leaving the nasty fruit 4 use. I bought a big watermelon $13 I bought a box Strawberries I think it was $4 I got a cereal bowl of strawberries cause about half of it was yellow or rotten the watermelon I probably threw 90% of it away it was mushy.. I'm just gonna start buying fruit from the dude on the corner it's always good. I know if I went back there with my receipt they would either refund me or exchange the fruit but who wants to do that you've already unloaded the groceries you put them away it changed your clothes To start cutting up fruit and getting dinner ready nobody wants to get dressed and leave to go back to the store.. read more

Camille provides the BEST customer service, she's works in the deli. She puts her tasks aside bc customers comes first! It's very nice to know that I'm not going to have to wait to get help just bc foods not ready yet, I experienced other workers act like I wasn't waiting there in line 3 people we're making food in the back when it only takes a few minutes to help customers. Camille was very helpful to get myself and other customers help. She apologized for the wait and reassured me throughout the time of me waiting. Other workers were confrontational and extremely rude, instead of seeing I needed help, another worker(Rose) came out to argue with Camille bc she was in the back "making chicken" so she couldn't come help with customers but she has the time to confront Camille for her apologizing for the wait and poor service. Camille was explaining customers come first and Rose was ignoring her and being UNPROFESSIONAL disregarding everything Camille had to say to her. ROSE IF YOU HAVE TIME TO BASICALLY EASEDROP ON THE TRUTH THEN COME BE CONFRONTATIONAL BC ITS THE TRUTH then just provide good customer service and help!!!! Rose definitely needs some pointers on professionalism and know there's a time and place for EVERYTHING. Customers come first everywhere so don't get mad over the truth. You can't see there's help needed in front but hear Camille basically covering your behind, you were only hearing what you wanted to hear - you need to redo some basic training. On top of the situation the Mexican male working was just standing in the back acting like he was really doing something then came out and started slamming the food trays being dramatic and loud. Camille was AMAZING she definitely needs a raise or better position because she was doing it all in front I am routing for her and her not keeping her mouth shut about providing better customer service. Store needs to work on the employees who operate the bakery. I dont understand the store policy regarding baked goods but how do you let someone get $50+ of meat from the butchery but cant take a $20 fruit cake to the front. Its a big waste of time to have pay for my cake then go back and wait in line at the bakery to pick my cake up. If the policies are modeled based of prejudices please work on your store policies. Bakery employees was also rude the short chubby chick had the audacity to yell out "CHECK HIS RECEIPT" as if I was stealing lol. Cashiers are nice but the bakery employees could maybe model themselves after the Staters in Summit or Yucaipa. I have been going to this Staters the past 10 years since Ive moved here to Fontana never have I once dealt with a rude employee up until now. Shopped here about a week ago with my husband. We had trouble finding a couple of items as they are getting remodeled but asked a manager by the name of Belen for help. She seemed to be very irritated with us for asking as well as rude to multiple employees on her way to help us find an item. I've had this same encounter with this manager before when I once cashed out in her line and thought maybe she doesn't have the correct people skills for this customer service job. This storehas great management and it is reflected in the associates I was shopping in this store the other day an was $6.00 short and the cashier Jose A.saw how embarrassed I was and took the $6.00 and change out of his own pocket to help. In the 30 plus years that I have been shopping in the local stater bros this has never happen before and I would not expect it his help brought me to tears. I visited Stater Bros yesterday I walk in and see an advertisement for the golden egg. I was very excited and searched all over the store for the golden egg. I finally found it and asked an employee if that was the golden egg and he says, "yes that is the golden egg" WHY ADVERTISE IT IF THEY'RE NOT GOING TO DO ANYTHING. He goes on to say "it's mostly for kids if you really want you can get a lollipop" but he gives us nothing. Very disappointed stater bros. read more

Love coming here to do shopping everyone is so friendly, except the white ladies in the Deli Section, everytime we go in to order a sandwich they have this disgusting attitude, make faces and make Unecessary comments like "You don't get tired of this?" Since they already know we usually order it. It's none of your business if we are or not. If you ladies don't like doing your jobs I suggest you work somewhere else or in a different department. I have shopped in your stores for well over 35+ years. I don't leave negative reviews for any business, only positive ones. Until today! I called this location at 8am to inquire what time the rotisserie chicken is put out to sell. I was told 1pm. Ok, no problem! I then called back and asked if I ordered one if I could get it earlier than 1 and I was told no and it would be out by 1. I know I could cook my own chicken at home but it's really hot outside today! So I waited to leave my house at 1 and needed other items. I got everything I needed and walked back to the deli and asked about the chicken! It's about 1:15 by then. I asked a heavy set woman behind the counter how long before it was ready and explained how I called twice inquiring about it! She had an attitude at that point and said, 11 minutes and then she has to probe it to make sure it's done!! Restaurant manager for 35+ years I found her condescending! I know what temperature chicken needs to be cooked to! I walked away irritated because of her attitude! No oh sorry mam, sorry you were told that! You should tell customers an hour later than expected because things happen! I'm disappointed because Stater Bros. Has become another business that allows Covid as an excuse for poor customer service!!! All over a rotisserie chicken! I will not step foot into any of your stores ever again! This is my home Stater Brothers, and In all the years I've been shopping with them I have only had ONE other incident similar to the one I'm going to be writing about today. I purchased 3 pounds of leg meat from the meat dept area because I was under the impression that that meat was fresh... Well, fresher than the prepackaged meat that you can find on the side of that area. I was Extremely blown away by how wrong I was when I dumped the chicken out of the bag when I got home, the smell was beyond disgusting! My entire kitchen stunk within two minutes of me dumping out the chicken into my pan!! It made myself and my daughter gag, that chicken was extremely bad!! I seriously didn't understand how the person that helped me at the counter pick out the chicken didn't smell that!??! It was that bad! So I took the chicken back I spoke with the store manager and a different employee in the meat department, the Store manager pretty much just said to get a different type of meat or if I wanted my money back... Didn't offer anything for the inconvenience, he did apologize though. Now this is the part why I'm Yelping..... The new associate that was handling the customers in the meat department already knew that there was something wrong with the meat. When she went back there (behind the counter) she took care of I'm assuming the rest of the bad meat prior to me coming back. I was only gone from my purchase and back to the store to return it for maybe about 20 minutes... They continued to serve the chicken and did not clean out that entire area from what I could tell within that time span. Which tells me that all the juice from that bad chicken was still in there contaminating everything else!!!!!! The new associate that did help me was extremely friendly and very helpful... I couldn't leave that out LOL but, I'm just worried now for everybody else's safety of salmonella poisoning!! I have never smelled something so disgusting in my life!!!!! read more

I wouldn't recommend the strawberry pie. Half of the strawberries were rotten and it spread a bit on the crust.

I am a single mom of 2, so this year I decided to sell some chocolate covered strawberries to buy my kids something nice and take them to dinner and a movie. I never knew how crazy the hunt for strawberries would be. I went to about 5 Costco's 3 Sam's clubs and so many other stores. I was freaking out and was getting ready to head to la to buy them at 3 am. I said let me call one more store if I have no luck I'll head out. I was transferred to John who was AMAZING I spoke to him on the phone and was so sweet he placed 9 boxes of strawberries on hold for me to the register he picked out the biggest and nicest looking ones for me. This afternoon my sister, father and I decided to stop by our favorite neighborhood market. We needed to buy a few essential things and although we had had long work days and quite an emotional afternoon we agreed it was best to get it over with being they are always speedy and friendly there. UNFORTUNATELY today was an exception to our usual experience. When we approached the express lane we were quite eager to get through the check out as quickly as possible. Our cashier Matt had a different idea of what "Express" means. As he engaged in several conversations regarding his injuries that required light duty (not light thinking) he paid more attention to the sympathies of different customers asking him how he was feeling. Although I can understand that he has built relationships and it is easy to fall into a conversation he should still be able to multi-task. Matt was so involved in the conversations revolving around himself I almost mistakened his friendly manner as flirting with a gentlemen he was speaking with. I personally do not care what his preferences are, however I do care that my cashier took so long to ring me up that he never heard me say there was a case of water under the cart. We had to pay twice and with no apology. Had he possibly been apologetic and realized this was all due to his poor customer service a simple "I'm sorry" would have made things better, instead it was like he was bothered that he had to ring us up again. I'm beyond annoyed and disappointed and hope this is brought to his attention. My "Express" experience took 5 times longer than it should have. I gave three stars because the store was clean as always. read more

There is never anyone working at the deli counter. Went this morning, stood there for 10 minutes, asked the butcher to get a deli person, finally after 20 minutes had to go find a manager.
