Today 3/5/2026 I had a the worst experience dealing with the two lady managers that where on shift from 5:00pm-5:20pm! I had literally just walked out the store to realize the 50$ worth of leg meat looked a little off as I was putting them in my reusable bags. So I walked back in just to exchange them not even 5 mins from purchasing them as the nice cash register employee even told the lady manager. (Wish I had both the name of them) That I was just in there and they kinda do look a little off she then had to call another manager from there the other lady manager said she wasn't able to just exchange them without the receipt but I had told her the receipt had flow out my basket do to it being extremely windy today! She then said she has to check the cameras & find my receipt on the computer like if I was stealing when her employee told her I just brought them lol This is my home stater bros I have been coming here since they opened speeding 1000s of dollars on there food! They have now lost a customer! My husband used to work for stater bros for over 5 years and he as an employee there would exchange things with no problem all the time! Open food/ cooked/ and so much more so for this to happen to me is mind blowing! read more

This is such a beautiful store but the some of the employees ruin the shopping experience. Linda is not helpful at all. And the store manager could care less when an issue is reported to him. He treats the workers so poorly. He ruins the morale and makes them miserable. The workers act like high schoolers. I've seem them chatting it up and talking poorly about their coworkers and it seems to be an acceptable behavior. New management with actual human resource skills should be brought in to correct the problem. Was at meat counter for 5 minutes being ignored while 4 employees kept walking around. No one acknowledge me.

It was very disappointing that SB prices have gone up and service has gone down. We do our shopping early morning on the weekends and we have to bag our own groceries because there are no courtesy clerks or bagger scheduled. We were told by our checker this past weekend that the courtesy clerk position has been abolished and customers either bag it themselves or wait for the checker to do it. No help and higher prices. What a shame. My hubby and I are both vintage models and some weekends the bending and pushing is a little difficult. The price for delivery is a little out of our budget so we lose either way. I wonder what's next, will customers have to stock the shelves too? read more

This specific Stater Brothers location is amazing. They have everything you'd want in a grocery store. The fresh food section is outstanding--you can get fried chicken, burritos, sushi, and fresh fruit, all of excellent quality. The butcher shop and seafood section are also top-notch. The store was recently remodeled, and it looks fantastic. I hope all Stater Brothers locations eventually look as great as this one. I have a Stater Brothers where I live, and I'm immediately disappointed by it because I've been spoiled by how much better this location is. As a pro tip, if you want to see Stater Bros. sales specifically, use their app. You can isolate just the items that are on sale. This is Stater Brothers latest store and it's extremely generic. The design itself is boring (to say the least). The only possible bright spot here is self checkout, nothing else. Stater Brothers use to have good prices, but those days seem to be gone. The store here has a Sushi area, bakery, butcher and deli. It seems that much of the food is prepared off site. When I visited the aisles of the store, I noticed that the actual shelves are not deep like other grocery stores, and other Stater locations. They do this to keep the inventory low. The store signage is extremely old school for a store built in 2022. It's red, and very bland. The floors are brown, and do not offer any flair. I feel Walmart dies a better job at being a feast for your eyes. This store is like a generic prison offering nothing, not even low prices. Your better off at Walmart. Update: i spoke with store manager and also the corporate office regarding the birthday cake that I purchased! Nothing was resolved! I was offered an apology! My recommendation to anyone that orders a cake is make sure you pick it up a day early so that you have the time to go elsewhere and purchase another one because if you wait until the day of your event you will have no choice but to pay for an ugly and unacceptable cake! Took my mom here for some beef soup (caldo de res) ingredients shopping, as she was not familiar with the new, improved Stater Brothers market. The store was vibrant, large, well stocked and sparkling clean. But the main highlight was the courteous store employees. Store employee George, for example. As my mom strolled down the store aisles, George noticed her store motorized cart was about to run out of power by the sound it was making. He said to hold on a minute, and returned soon with a freshly powered up cart. We thanked him stating we were not aware of the cart situation. There are employees out there that would instead stay quiet, not wanting to add additional tasks to their day. Not George, he stepped up to the task at hand. George's dedication and work ethic makes Stater Bros shine that much more. read more

Picked up fried chicken for dinner around 8pm by midnight everyone was sick with food poisoning. We come here at least once a week for fried chicken without any issues. But this time at first bite something was off, and the whole family thought so. We should have took that as a sign to stop eating. Over 24hrs later we are all still sick! read more

Lately the meat department just hasn't been the same. Went Friday to get Tri tip and when the person behind the counter picked it up I noticed an excessive amount of fat on the bottom asked to get some of it trimmed off and before doing so I noticed he had weighted it out and printed the sticker before doing so, I asked after if he can weight it again to see the price difference and I noticed it dropped to 15$ that is a BIG DIFFERENCE in the price almost 10$ in just FAT is just crazy to me. I normally don't like to review grocery stores however the last visit to this store was unsettling. This is my local grocery store that my family and I have been shopping at since the store opened a few years ago, but I haven't been back since my last visit and nor do I intend on returning. I was here shopping in the late afternoon with my mom on July 2nd, during the week leading up to the Fourth of July holiday weekend, I've been on vacation, hence why the delay in writing my review. I was even hesitant about writing this but the one thing that I absolutely cannot stand is when the friendly customer service lacks friendly and customer service. My mom and I were in the frozen deli aisle and we were the only ones in that aisle when an older Hispanic employee wearing a tie and long white sleeve shirt with facial hair maybe 5'4 in height walked right past us in that aisle without even acknowledging us or asked if we needed assistance with anything, which we did. We couldn't find the Oscar mayer turkey bacon, but then later found out that they weren't carrying it because it had been recalled. No biggie. I later come to find out through the name on my receipt and the man in the photo frame up at the front of the store, that the employee who ignored us was the general store manager Steven! Had it been any other employee then maybe I would've let it go, but the fact that he's the store manager and lacks professionalism, kindness, customer awareness, and loyalty to his customers. Of all employees, he should be leading by example and providing a positive experience for everyone. My family and I will be shopping at a different location from now on. read more

This specific Stater Bros is my overall favorite choice for groceries in the area! If you need to be careful on a budget, then I believe they provide a good selection of good quality options that are not high cost. There may be other places with greater selection, and I think I have to go somewhere else for my top choice of economical frozen veggie burgers. However, they have a Beyond Meat griller pack that is good and not too much, and making the most of a certain amount of money is a priority at this time (for me). Also, relative to some other locations, I believe this location carries some extra options with a nice atmosphere for shopping. As convenient as the distance as this location is for myself. It is a disappointment to see how quickly the customer service is declining with the evening shift. If Sonia wasn't worried about how big her lips would look with braces on I would have had the opportunity to decline to have my groceries bagged as I had my own and also not overcharged for the quantity. As minor as an inconvenience as it was for her for me it has been a repeated experience that has made the experience at this location less and less attractive. The generation before me shopped for the best of anything at specialty stores--the best meat was at the butcher, the best cakes at the baker, the best candles at the candlestick maker. Now it's all on isle 2...and 3, 4, 5 and so on. Want to save the planet? That's here too, in the form of organic paper towels. Want to wallow in lard? Help yourself. (I usually do.) Wide isles accommodate wide people, too. Hunger, if it is a problem at all, is the result of bad adults, not the scarcity of food or paucity of means. Wow, what an upgrade we received in our beautiful city of Riverside! The new Stater Bros market on Arlington and Van Buren isn't messing around. First of all, it was built where the old Kmart was and it's huge. If you live around here, you know that after they closed the Kmart the lot was empty and sad for a few years. Well not anymore. The new starters is here and it's beautiful! It has basically everything a super store has, hot food, huge butcher, sushi!, huge produce section, and more aisles than you can count. They also raised their game on Mexican and Hispanic foods. The cons: not the greatest bakery, prices are high, they had plenty of team members for opening week but now not so many and line are long just like other staters. Overall, it is an amazing addition to the city and a huge improvement to the lot. read more

Today I was at this location buying my groceries and got chicken from the butcher counter. When I got home to cook my chicken I was very disappointed as the chicken was rotten and smelled up my whole kitchen that I wanted to throw up. I then decided to take it back to the store. I spoke to a supposed store manager name Zach all he could say was "I'm sorry " and couldn't care less about anything else. As I walked alway he said I suppose I can give you a refund. I told him I was not there to get a refund. I wanted him to know what kind of meat they are selling and he can keep my money. I really think the store manager should look into this. Got food poisoning from their premade orange chicken in the deli section. I've been sick all night because of it. Today was their grand opening. Swung by during my lunch hour and did not disappoint. They had food samples, including sushi! Sushi sample was yummy so decided to get a whole roll. Also tried their tres leches cake - have to say, it was on point considering that I'm pretty finicky about tres leches. Beats Cardenas' tres leches! I know this Stater Brothers not located in the nicest part of Riverside, but it looks nice from the outside but let me tell you about the inside. they have rude employees they have a lot of young high school people, but let me tell you those are way nicer than the older ladies. The older ladies are worried about chitchatting back-and-forth yelling about who's on the floor and who's not and the lines are like crazy. it's not like the other Stater Brothers for sure but most of all they have securities so beware they act like they're police. They will literally stock you walk behind you like if they are trying to catch you do something. I know that the area is not the best like I said before, but having somebody follow you around the store like a criminal is terrible. read more

I was in Stater Bros. Markets Store Number 207 on Saturday, September 28, 2024. Adam Tucker Lee, one of their assistant store managers, was very nice, friendly, helpful, innovative, and knowledgeable. He steamed a sirloin steak for me and did a very good job with that. This steak was very tasty. He spent a lot of time doing this to make sure the steak came out good and explaining to me how their steaming process works. This was especially helpful because he said that they hadn't steamed any steaks for a long time because of not getting any requests to do so at their store location. Because of not doing this for a long time, he wanted to make sure this was done correctly. I really appreciate his time and help. He seems like a good manager to me.
